WTF. First Naspers and kinnevik sold Konga and lefy Nigeria, then Olx left, now multichoice, is this about the super xenophobic dumbass executive order bubu signed. I think Xenophobia just went from socal media to the corporate arena. Why na, Africa doesn't need this. We're brothers na. We should be expanding in each other's countries to create synergy for the whole Africa to benefit from.
we are going the north Korea way.killing all bussiness.what avoidthe people they have employed and the fact that they export Nigeria's creativity to the world.Nigeria is north Korea while Ghana is south Korea

Mumu dem, you don't know thousands of Nigerians will lose their jobs if they are sent parking.

Nonsense....do you know how much they take home to South Africa? losing jobs is not an end...other digital tvs will spring up.....sacked workers knowledge will come handy....The workers get peanuts compared to DSTV subscription rates...we are the highest in Africa. Remember you just pay, unlike mtn that will provide electricity for her masts...these ones do little or nothing....And worst, they couldnt even list on Nigerian Stock Exchange,so that we can shop small through dividends or price appreciation... nonsense

Comes across as Songs of Lamentations.

Firstly, it's not stipulated anywhere that a firm must be quoted on the NSE. Every firm returns profits made to their home country. From Guinness to Dangote to Shell to Frieslandcampina to Arla to GE. It's an acceptable practice globally, stop being a cry baby.

You just pay? You forget Multichoice pays exorbitant taxes, purchases TV rights (which are dollars domiciled), pays employees, sponsor CSR etc. No, you won't think such. You believe forcing a firm out of business and the country portends well for Nigeria's investment drive? So you believe other investors will invest where their businesses can be closed at anytime? Is this North Korea?

Good riddance to bad rubbish. There is a great disparity on how much we paid here compare to south Africans using the same platform. We need a new company with better service.

Why should it be the same when the cost of operations is bigger in Nigeria than SA? Why should it be the same when the rights to shows, channels and programs are bought in dollars using revenues obtained in naira as opposed to rand? Why should it be the same when the technologies used are imported as against locally sourced?

Well, Kwese doesn't show full EPL/Champions League matches. They've only one free to air match per week.

@Post, I want to believe Multichioce will solve the problem. However, Zuma might not be available when they need him.

I doubt dat... Liverpool vs Burnley and Everton vs crystal Palace is on kwese dis Saturday so?

Nigeria is gradually turning to North Korea, where citizens are not allowed to view TV station other than govt station. They have tried to stop us from having access to social media, they couldn't succeed, now they are trying blackmailing DSTV in other to Stop outside world from knowing the atrocities of this government. We know that it would come to this level but we won't allow it to last. You are sending DSTV away when you don't have another alternative for the citizens. Since this government comes in, many family have lost their jobs and today as am writing this a lot folks are loosing their on daily basis due to the fact the company cannot afford to pay their workers. Nigeria youths be wise, it's not a crime for you to make use of your brains. Think!!! Trust not any news from this govt.

Same way South Africans can't live without Nigerians.
Nigeria alone is DSTV's biggest market.
Imagine if dstv gets kicked out of Naija?

I won't miss dstv- overpriced bullshit!

Don't mind them!! Funny enough I've checked the SA dstv site and the prices aren't very different.

Same way we Naija people say internet abroad is so cheap. The reality is that internet in Nigeria on the GSM platform is just as cheap if not cheaper than what you have in UK. Speed might be slower here, but that's another issue.

https://www.vodafone.co.uk/index.htm?mboxSession=6609f68e507448a999a4c8c9c4ef9101

For eg check the link above. Voda phone is offering 20GB for £20 which equates for about N10k. Some providers here offer more Gb for N10.

http://www.ipnxnigeria.net/products/fos-3af084bf-7adc-41dd-830f-69e64e363867

Ipnx offers 40Gb for N10.5k at 20 Mbps 'guaranteed' over Fibre optic.

Same way we make it seem like education is free in UK. While that might be true for primary and secondary, at university level even UK students pay about £10k.

DSTV premium is Zar735 in SA which is N22k!! So how is it over priced?? Use Google small na.
