The Mercedes CLK family is one of the least known, yet most soundly engineered cars produced by Mercedes. I personally like CLKs because they are built around old school shocks and spring suspensions, instead of those trouble-prone air-suspensions that have infested much of the Mercedes product line in recent years.

That said, there is a lot to be gained by staying with the 2003 to 2004 years CLK (C209), or better still, the 2008 to 2009 CLK, all of which have FAR fewer flaws than the earlier C208 version of the CLK that you are currently considering. Avoid 2005 to 2007 CLKs due to multiple engine manufacture flaws that can be costly to address.

Check out these beauties. Right now I am fixing up a year 2009 CLK550 which I bought with a blown engine. The 2009 year CLK550 is the flagship of the entire CLK brand, without question, and when mine is road ready, many laws of physics will be broken with impunity.

Coolant leaking into wrong place, gasket compromised or cylinder head cracked etc. Physical engine inspection is needed to ascertain the cause

The fuel indicator on my W202 doest seem to work well. One time I noticed it increasing to the highest, then when I switched on and off again. It changed level. What could be the problem?

Cranking to start requires mixture of spark fuel and air... If any of the three fails...no starting.

there is c230 in w204 chassis too. Don't forget 2006 and 2007 c230 w203's used a 2.5L version of the m272 engine. C230 with the same 2.5L engine carried over to the w204 chassis up until 2009 (it was specific to Canadian markets and I think European markets too). C230 is what u call c250 now. There was c280 with the 3.0 m272 in w204 Too, and also a c320. Only a few of these made it to Nigeria. At some point there was c280 and c300 w204 at the same time, avantgarde and elegance trim was their difference

These gets worse if the AC is switched on. But once I add fuel of 2k, it doesn't act that way, I bought fuel treatment a while back and I think it worsened it. I feel it's the fuel pump that is acting up, or the fuel passage may be dirty and clogged up. Any help or suggestions? Kuntash and others plss come to my aid
