Your reason for refusal sounds like that of FAU. They rejected someone here too for the same course with the same reason. They also rejected me for a different course because my docs. wasn't adequately certified. And all this course are without admission restrictions.

The only solution is just to apply to as many schools as possible. I have missed out of summer semester because the few schools I applied to rejected me, although with genuine reasons.
I will be going for Winter semester now, already have admission for Uni Freiberg (It's really a thing of joy to finally gain admission after a few rejection.) and I am still expecting one from Uni Hannover and University of Bonn. Will still apply to a few other schools then will make my final decision when it's time.

And I got rejected from some schools in my time, some for no reason whatsoever even to schools with my exact same program (Computer Science) and no NC (I was so depressed then) and this is why I tell everyone to "apply to as many schools as possible and do not restrict yourself to stupid university rankings and those similar BS". When you have multiple admissions, then you can choose.

Try again for winter, with a wider net and you should get something.

Those schs are Univ.of Bochum and FAU.
They have NC programs bt the course I applied for was not among d NC's courses.

My advice for you is to go with it to the embassy but keep it from Paulinus,because it isn't compulsory and when he sees that you have the photocopy and not original he might send you away. But if you say that you don't have, you won't have ish. Good luck

Transcript is necessary but not compulsory. If all u've got is d original certificate without a transcript, then it isn't much of a problem. Just go with wot u've.

lol some of us actually choose this course and fell in love with it. I have a passion for academics and I'd love to teach someday... there are Modern options for masters in history.

Yeah house please... as regards to this issue . I ask Mr Paulinus last week becus I went for my block account opening. So I asked if it possible for someone to make use of a notarized photocopy transcript....he told me he does not know about it I should go inside the Consulate and make my findings. Although wen he ask for student to present transcript, he said it this way and I quote "if you have your transcript present it but if it's not applicable to you no problem " .....this where the exact words he said before I chipped my matter to him. Besides I have an original transcript but it's soft copy and that's why I ask him if the embassy would collect a notarized copy ....wat I intend doing is to present the original on my phone to the lawyer because without the original a notary public can't sign......
I tried getting my findings from the Consulate but they were like they know nothing about it ....that they are for Consulate..sometin like dat.

Yes bro, since we already have their VPD, it will be less stressful and fast to use the admission for 2018 to apply for visa interview.

you can take your transcript along with you, don't forget to make 2 copies of it too.

Before your interview date visit where the embassy is located and ask where you could get a pre paid envelop. There's a market close by the American embassy where you'll see both Dhl and fedex(Red star).

if you dont have the original of your transcript, dont even bother submitting it bcuz paulinus will tell you the document on your checklist is original and 2 copies. But you can as well go with the photocopy of your transcript but do not submit it when arranging your docs that day to avoid been sent back!!!!

if you have a chance to get the original transcript b4 your interview date, then go get it.

Transcript is not compulsory.
Many people have gone for interview without transcripts nd are in Germany today.

Yeah is true the price only if you are outside the embassy.
There is a DHL office in the embassy and the and the embassy gave them a certain amount they are to collect wen students comes requesting for a courier envelope...and besides DHL is a German courier service ....so in my experience if u get it outside the embassy it would cost you more but if gotten in the DHL office that's suited in the embassy it would cost u less.
