While filling my form for M.Sc; York University, i was asked my official status in canada and these two out of all other options are confusing me;

Currently on, or will require, study permit to study in canada. and

No status.

Which should i pick? Very urgent please.
There is no confusion here. Since you are not a Canadian, you will need a study permit.

Great, thanks a lot Frankrobben1, I will start working on the suggestions given me and will accordingly update you on progress in due time

I am really grateful for your time. Have a nice day Sir, God bless you!!!

Please give honour to whom honour is due. I was not the one that responded to your last query. WEIRDPC did. Quoting his post and thanking me wasn't right. Good to hear you will be putting everything you have been told here into consideration.

Best of luck!

Hello All,

Please does anybody know process as administrative review after your canadian study permit has been refused

Someone mentioned that you can apply for review without re-applying for study permit all over again. Please how true is this?

10 months program.

I was hoping you will say lesser than 6 months.

Just go and get your passport at the VFS office.

Let's know the outcome. Have at the back of your mind that You need medical for your trv to he approved for a 10 months programme.

Best wishes.

Hello,

No one knows the chances of getting a TRV approval.

IELTS is not a requirement for admission into Canadian Universities.

My advise to you is to focus on securing admission first, when you have the acceptance letter from your school, you can make plans on VISA.

Best wishes

Greetings to everybody in the house. I want to know the possibility of getting a TRV with a sponsor who is not a member of your family, not even a relative?

Sorry to say this but if you have been asked to come and collect your passport without passing medicals, it is most likely that you have been refused..

Fret not though. Miracle still happens

Sorry been away from online a few days now. What' going on? I will try and catch up. Yes I was persecuted and stood my ground. I remember one belligerent critic of me garnering 36 likes for an epistle he wrote about me. I continued to help people here regardless. Then people started to testify left and right that they won their TRV due to my help. Even those who persecuted me started to approach me for help. One moniker here I remembered famously coined them "two faced." Now I can't even keep up with the PMs. Anyways keep up the good work bro. After 5 Months since I filed my application, I was called for medicals last week. Half down, half to go. USASK Fall 2018. Jesus is Lord!!!

Anything is possible Bro.

It all boils down to how you package your application.

Yes, it's always advisable to use a sponsor that is family as it makes proof of funds more credible and Reliable.

But from past experiences on this forum, some people have been approved with a non-related sponsor.

I must admit, they are very very very few in number.

The onus is on you to prove, why the person will want to spend so much on you considering the cost of Canadian education is no child's play, and considering the economic situation of Nigeria,

Also, you must prove the persons family and dependents are well taken care of. As nobody will pick outsiders over family in reality.

Also, do well to pay your tuition and get your living cost transferred to your personal account to show commitment.

If there is anything I've learnt in this visa application, it's that nothing is impossible.

Just do things right and pray.

Did you request for the GCMS note?

you need to share your profile.

what program, course did you apply to?

what's your previous academic qualifications and is it related to the field you're applying to in Canada?

do you have related work experience to the program you're going for?

Just paint a clearer picture of yourself so the house can know how best to advise you. you can also order your GCMS note, if you've not.

Best wishes

Thanks for your response.

Below is the summary of my GCMS note:
I have considered PA HISTORY,personal circumstances, and family composition, the expenses related to the proposed study and reasonableness of undertaking these studies in Canada.after careful consideration of information provided, I am not satisfied that the proposed studies in Canada make sense given insufficient information on how the proposed studies would improve carrier prospect to a degree to upset the cost of studying in Canada instead of pursing the programs available in country of residence.Application refused.

I studied Educational Management (undergraduate) (B.ed) and I applied for mater program in educational Administration.

I have seven years teaching experience. Currently I am working as Vice- principal (Administration ) in a school.

Thank you.

I see you have to tackle the issue of funds, home tie and purpose of visit.

A Convincing SOP should help the Purpose of Visit

With your experience, have you checked out the express entry route? You might just be qualified.

honeyscottage,

Sir/Ma,
Your GCMS is pointing at your Letter of intent(SOP), I can't see home ties here nor insufficient funds. So therefore, work more on constructing a convincing SOP. It's clearly stated on the note that the information you provided is insufficient enough. I can also see that your intended program is reasonable in control with your previous/job role, so you don't have problem with academic progression. Provide a rational explanation to how your proposed course would increase your career prospects in Nigeria, why Canada not Nigeria and you will be fine.

All the best!

teebabee34,
Canadian institutions don't accept HND for masters, you can fix yourself for a PGD program only if your Grade point is good.
