Call two soldiers to detain him and beat him up, trust me, your money will surface within a week. It works like magic.

Bro. It will only work on someone who doesn't know his right. Soldiers are not debt collectors.

When money issues happen between parties, no security force can help you. You can arrest but if the guy is bent on not paying, your only hope is charging him to court. Even with that, your chances of getting your money back are slim.

I ve been there so i know what i am talking about. I engaged SFU, EFCC, FCID, RECOVERY AGENTS, etc just to recover a large sum someone was owing me. Its all to no avail.

My advise is don't ever hand over the money you expect to get back to anyone. May no one bite fingers in regret just like i did. Amen

NEVER lend money unless two things are in place:
1) You know where the person MUST be most of the time
2) You have an assured way to scare them or shame them

You've said it all! People are owing us for three years and still saying "bro I never forget ooo." The earlier you moved on the better. So don't ever borrow money you cannot afford to lose (especially to friends and family) sothat you don't lose both your money and the debtor. Remove your mind and forget it, if the debtor happens to suprise you and payback one day, fine.

A man was owing me 250k, whenever I call he will ask me to just hold on for a while. It continued this way for 6 months and I never gave up. He actually got tired of me because it got to a point I started going to his office and house thrice a week. So finally, he issued me a cheque of 250k. I happily left for the bank only to discover his account had just 200k. I quickly paid 50k into his account and withdrew my 250k. Immediately he got the alert he called me that he is sorry, he just remembered he has less than 250k.

Just go ahead disturbing the debtor, no give am breathing space. He will soon get tired of you and will want to have rest.

I once involved police in debt recovery at the end I regretted everything . Like others said, try Army. I believe they are more reliable although it's not their job .

The best bet for is to go to the nearest Nigeria Civil defence office and make a formal complain. The guy will be invited and given a short period to pay you back either instalmentaly or in full. But if he can convince the officers he actually don't have money, they either sue him to court or the Civil defence arrange for an amicable payment plan. Please note that on no account should the guy get too closer to d officer more than you (it could be b dangerous, you know what I mean). Lastly based on experience no gree make them make your payment by cash always insist on transfer into your account otherwise Na double tithe " those" guys go collect. But by and large the best way to trouble your debtors is through the Nigeria Civil defence, they are more effective at it more than the police.

Hi NLander

Someone asked me today to advice him how best he could deal with a particular debtor who has been owing him an amount of money for the past 3 month but keeps postponing and he has a feeling that he won't pay him the money....but as a gentleman i am(plus I've never been in that situation before)i couldn't come up with a good plan

so I'm asking my fellow NLanders who might have been in the same shoe one way or the other how you handled the issue then or how you're planning to deal with such person
dear OP, we have all been debtors at one point in our lifes, just take it easy, so you won't face the same when, hit with the same situation.

Lol funny comments all the way down.. First of all bro are you sure the person he is trying to get his money from has the money presently and maybe still delaying to pay up. And how much is involved? If its not up to a N100K Don't involve the police... Well if its up to that or above that ah think you should involve the police.. But then the police won't help you get your money for free you will have to pay up.. (Estimated at N20k before they will help) Here is the advice: visit a nearby police station and lay a complaint about someone owing you for some time and is refusing to pay up, that you need them to help you recover your money.. They will ask if you want the person to be arrested or invited for interrogation, that's your choice to make.. But to be fair to your debtor go for the police invitation once the police invites your Debtor he becomes threatened and scared. Therefore he will pay up the money by all means or risk being arrested and detained till he pays up.. Shared this based on past experience..
i guess m gon' try this out?....tho m being skeptical abt this

You forgot that if the debtor is wicked and intelligent, then your money is gone forever. Whether the Army officers touched him or not is immaterial. The moment the officers stepped into his house to recover debt, they are already in violation and this could land you in prison.

It's true that many people are afraid of the soldiers but intelligent people will only look for a way to get out of the difficult situation and implicate you and even the soldiers with a simple petition.

My general advice is "do not lend money to ANYBODY". You can help people if you can but don't and never lend.

Op dont involve police at all, just find the the closest Army check point and explain to them, they will help you beg your debtor to pay you grin

bu tell them not to touch the guy, that all you need is the guy to pay you ya money. Very effective. I love the army

At the bolded, i said he tells the soldier not to touch the guy, The soldier just would interrogate the debtor and seriously caution him to pay up his debt.

This always work for me

I had a boss who was months away from her retirement day. One afternoon, as we chatted in her office, she said she knew she would live long. I asked her why she thought so. Her response was that she knew the people she owed debts were praying that she should live to pay them. Then she chuckled. Incorrigible.

Op I suggest you look closely the church he or she attends. From thereby can get your money sharp sharp.

Bro! If he or she is a Catholic try finding out the society he or she is in the church., go to the day of there meetings report the debtor.

If he or she is a Pentecostant go their church the dah they have their own program which you know he or she will attend report him to his pastor. They will call him and ask him to repay u back.

This one worked for me, I went to his church program and the pastor said testimony time and k came out and testified that God made it possible for me to be here and one of the members is owing me. After mass they called closely and ask how much it is and I said 300 k the pastor and he's congregations paid me sharply in 5days. I don't care oh

A pastor owed me and refused to pay. I took police to arrest him on his wedding morning, he paid me 100% and settled police

Another person was owing me, I took some boys to his wedding reception. When the envelopes started pouring in, I whispered to him that I need my money here and now. He called his best man aside who took the envelopes behind the scene, counted and informed him the money is not yet enough, he begged me to wait so after a while, I asked again, this time the money was complete so be paid me.
I was so happy so I enveloped some money and gave him as wedding gift then left.
The wife got worried and asked the groom what's the matter, he politely told her I'm his good friend and was just sharing an observation with him.

Hi.

There are several steps involve in collecting debt. Ordinarily, people owing wouldn't want to pay especially if you are a relation, friend or close acquaintance. And that is why you need a professional neutral third party to help collect the sum.

You can tell your friend to contact me on 08022950045. That is what we do at www.jvcollections.com.
