Really? So someone can't dress in peace again?

Witchcraft in Nigeria has changed people's thinking mentality.

If you know about Disney, then you'll know that the girl dressed as one of their fairy tale character called A MERMAID.

Almost every kid in US loves watching Disney. So it's only fair that her mom dresses her up as one of their characters.

@OP It's your naive mentality that made you think that she dressed up as a "Mami Water". Well, it's not your fault. Since the only films most Nigerians watch, are the ones that end with "To God Be The Glory".

I don't subscribe to this act put up by parents especially on innocent babies these days just to get media attention....if mermaid spirits come for her now, they will be the ones running from one church to another for deliverance. parents pls do not involve ur children in this

This reminds of the woman who shared condoms to guests who came for her child's dedication somewhere in Asaba. She wore jeans bum shorts and a red traditional blouse. If the child, be it a boy or girl, becomes a contraceptives addict in future, she may be looking for solution without knowing that she's the problem herself.

I've not seen where problem successfully finds a solution.

Don't be naive, that was probably the condition that the mum was given wen she went to seek for the baby from the occult. And if u think it is a myth, go and ask any elder in ur family. Just cos u av a degree or doctorate doesn't mean you know all there is.

The comments here are really embarrasing to me. Really? She's being initiated? Queen of the coast? WTH??!!! The little girl could have been thrilled by the Sydney character, "the little mermaid", after watching it on TV. She could have visited the Disney world and fallen in love with the character. This is just as anyone would dress the kid with Mickey or Minnie mouse costume. Does it make the kids rats? Gosh!! Religion in Africa and Nigeria in particular has ruined the brains of our youths.
Well...like a poster said, we're used to the movies that end with "to God be the glory", where everything is evil and the shout of "Holy Ghost fire" changes everything for good, instantly.
Please let this girl enjoy her youth.

Is it not what the daughter wants that she will get?

Or you think their kids are dumb? That they can't think for themselves?

American moms are more open minded than some Nigerian parents.

My dear, it's not oyibo movie anything.

It's just a standard reasoning mixed with facts!

American & Nigerian mentality are not thesame & that's why they'll keep progressing ahead while Nigeria will just be declining.

Why I'm i quoting him?

Why are you quoting me as if you're his sister?

And if I'm talking out of sense, are you trying to tell me that the reason that kid was dressed up that way was because the mother is a "Mami Water"?

Then if so, what will you say about kids who dress in all sorts of way during HALLOWEEN?

So if the daughter wants to drink harmful chemicals she will oblige her because she's an American mom. Hear ur self

My dear, think before you talk.

There's a difference between GOOD & BAD.
There's also a difference between OKAY & NOT OKAY

When I said American parents are more open minded, I didn't mean that they're fools!

There's a VERY BIG difference between letting your daughter dress like a character in a movie & letting your daughter drink harmful chemicals.
