Phew! The 2nd season more than delivered. I didn't expect it, but, it somehow superseded the brilliance of the 1st season, made it look like amateur hour. The characters are more freshed out, better character building than the first, more intrigue, more action, and more suspense. 2 more episodes to go and I'm already craving for the 3rd season. I'm kinda regretting rushing through this one. This is the kind of show you take your time on, savour every moment, prolong it as long as you can, because when it finally ends, it's gonna be missed for sure. You're gonna feel a massive void it left in your heart that would take some doing to be refilled.

I'm team Bobby Axelrod all the way. I know he is technically the bad guy, but he is super charismatic and seems like a nice guy in general. That quote of his at the finale of season 1 is still one my favs. "When I pull the deal off the table, I leave Nagasaki behind." Mehn that's deep... and pretty straight forward. He's basically saying that when he pulls off a deal, the other person is going to feel that they got punched so hard their ancestors must have felt it, lolz.

There are other nuggets like “What’s the point of having f**k you money if you never say f**k you?” and “Whenever you can, put a company in your mouth.”

With Bobby Axelrod it’s kind of confusing really to know which face you’re going to see at any given time, but chances are you’re going to see the face he wants to present for that given moment. The man's an inspiration.

Yep so true. I don't know how anybody can't be team axelrod. Just like you said technically the bad guy yet I really want to know what's up with him asking Wendy to help him find his way back and what she whispered in his ear in season 2 finale. Perhaps, we are going to see a more humane Bobby for the season 3.

Just finished DARK.

This has to be the most mind bending series i have watched so far. It is way way better than stranger things and has far more depth.

I don't even know where to start. It left me with one answer to a question I have often asked myself. Does the action we take shape our lives or are we scripted to take such action that will in turn shape our lives. This series makes it painfully obvious that no matter what, it's all scripted/fated no matter how hard you try. As a matter of fact, the harder you try, you are actually speeding up the inevitable. It is just mind boggling.


But this series leaves me with one question, if the device's blue print that made the black hole was given to the watch maker by Claudia, where did Claudia get the blue print? And since Jonas didn't take the instrument along, where did he get the one he took back to the watchmaker to fix? I guess season Two will answer those questions.

I think Jonas got the old device from the future and took it to Tannhaus in 2019 to repair but he didn't know that Tannhaus already had the one he made in 1986 for Claudia, Claudia also got the blueprint from the future and took it to 1986 so Tannhaus could build it. Thus, if Tannhaus didn't make the blueprint in the future, he wouldn't have been able to build it in 1986.

The past influences the future and the future influences the past. A time paradox.

The one that finished me was how Ulrich in trying to save his brother and his son went back to 1953 and forgot the phone that will be used as an electromagnetic device to facilitate the creation of that black hole which still led to the disappearance of his bro and son and also when Ulrich tried to kill and hide Helge in 1953 to prevent his bro and son's disappearance but managed to hide him in the only place he could enter the future from whence he would proceed to kidnap Ulrich's son and bro.

Everything na time paradox for that series.

- Gomorrah - It is a really fantastic Italian show about the mafia, really well written, acted and realistic. Haven't watched S3 yet, everyone who likes good drama or crime should check it out.
- The Bureau - Another fantastic one, a French spy drama/thriller which I thought was excellent.
- Deutschland 83. A cold war drama/thriller set in West/East Berlin in 1983.
- Money Heist (La Casa De Papel) - A heist thriller/drama on Netflix. Have heard really good things but haven't watched this one myself. Will be checking it out soon.

Designated survivor... What a free society... An ideal society

- Altered Carbon - While it certainly had it's flaws, I really enjoyed it as a cross between Cyberpunk SciFi and Neo-Noire.
- Derry Girls - This is effing hilarious! It's rare for any TV writing to surprise me with originality, and far rarer still for a "comedy" show to exhibit enough originality to catch me off guard, but this is a piece of abso-frecking-lute genius!
- The Young Offenders - Much more fun than the movie. The Male version of Derry Girls.
- Counterpart - Season 1 is still ongoing. I really do think that it's the best TV series out there right now. The plot and the acting are stellar, and I'm glued to my seat every time it comes on air.

NCIS
NCIS LA
NCIS NEW ORLEANS
LAW AND ORDER (and all its variations)
NUMB3RS; This has more to do with scientific than behavioural profiling but is still a great show with obvious Criminal Minds feels to it.
The MENTALIST; Drawing logical conclusions from minute details is what the exceptionally good mentalist is all about.
HANNIBAL; Has more to do with emotionally profiling criminals and is a whole lot more macabre than Criminal Minds.
DEXTER; Well, a lot more blood flows in Dexter than Criminal Minds but you should find it interesting and intriguing. Most fans of both shows see it as an antithesis of Criminal Minds. Seeing as how you are given the front seat in the mind of a criminal.
LIE TO ME; Although unlike Criminal Minds, this has more to do with literally reading people (facial expressions, body language and all) than their psychological profiles, you are sure to find appreciative similarities you'll enjoy.
