- The Shield S6 - Just finished it. The season started off wonderfully with that awesome premiere. It kinda slumped after the third but even at its weakest the season provided great scenes. The penultimate ep was really good and so was most of the finale. However, I still felt that it ended less spectacularly than I wanted. As usual, the writing is topnotch with excellent callbacks to previous events and intricate plotting. There's also Emmy worthy acting from Michael Chiklis and Walton Goggins. Overall, it's not as consisent as seasons 4-5 (imo) but it still riveted me more than the early seasons.
- Peaky Blinders S1 - Only 3 episodes in. Idk about this show. It has great actors (Cillian Murphy, Helen McCory, Sam Neill) and setting and a cool soundtrack. But I'm still not fully sold. I feel that compared to other crime/gangster shows (e.g. The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire), it's not as enjoyable to watch. I can't say why but maybe it has less stuff to work with (). Hope it gets better.

OK, Just finished back to back episodes of both altered carbon and Cardinal S02.
Altered carbon:- A very good syfy show with a captivating storyline to match. There were obvious flaws, yes but it is to be expected since they were weaving the story on a complex premise different from your run of the mill syfy show. It also has one of the best worldbuilding (futuristic) I've seen in a syfy show. The shows that came close in my opinion concerning the worldbuilding aspect,have got to be Almost human and Minority report. All in all, a very very nice show (there's always room for improvement though).
Cardinal:- One of the "realest" crime shows out there. Holds nothing back in giving you both the good and the bad. Nothing cliche about it and definitely deserves more awards than it already has. I repeat, it is real as f**k.

Yep so true. I don't know how anybody can't be team axelrod. Just like you said technically the bad guy yet I really want to know what's up with him asking Wendy to help him find his way back and what she whispered in his ear in season 2 finale. Perhaps, we are going to see a more humane Bobby for the season 3.

I'm glad someone else liked Cardinal. Every element is in place, great story, perfect pace, outstanding cast, cinematography which could not be better. You might wanna check out the following (assuming you haven't watched them already). They are similar to Cardinal in terms of mood and plot, except even better.

- Broadchurch
- Top Of The Lake
- Happy Valley
- Line Of Duty
