Not necessarily my dear !!
For even now, there are some select opportunities out there. ...if only u could look a bit deeper.
The truth is; the ability to spot both unsustainable optimism and unjustified pessimism is what would usually differentiate between an intelligent investor and the unintelligent one.
...the former is always a realist who sees opportunities in both the bull and the bear market, while the later often times ends up been the pig who gets slaughtered along the way.
That also explains why the former usually succeeds 90% of the time from the many misadventures of the later.

In all, just like its ok to not be overly optimistic, its also good to not be unduly pessimistic.
The problem is that some persons may now become deeply engrossed in their current fear and pessimism that they end up missing out on some juicy opportunities in the market.
...often times they get carried away by 'the many extraneous market noise' and probably end up buying when others might be planing to sell. ...because of their wrong quest to time the market.

It's very important for any investor/trader to learn the act of knowing when to draw a thin line between FEAR and GREED.
The key lies in having a plan that is unique to ur investment style/strategy and doing well to remain faithful to it.

Is this statement applicable to Nigeria Stock Exchange?

By the time fbnh trades at #40 this time next year, you'll still come back to say you rejected it at #11 naira grin

I know you think it's not possible. My guess is, had someone told you FBNH will trade at 15 naira when it was on 3, you would have said the same thing grin

Fbnh was just used as an example, could as well be any of the others you listed

You don't understand my question.

Have you asked yourself why overbought line (high line) is 70 and not 80 or 90 and oversold line (low line) is 30 and not 20 or 10?

Should RSI overbought and oversold lines be the same(30/70) for all stock?

Adjusting these lines means you need to understand why the inventor of RSI used 30 and 70 and 50 for neutral line.
cp has said it, you are making these arguments for the newbies to comprehend, and I am really learning

Investing in the stock market ought to be a hobby where one should catch fun in a relaxed atmosphere.

Following and monitoring the stock market 24/7, could be dangerous to our health and networth.

There is life outside the stock market, we should not build our lives and most of our plans on the success of the stock market.

Doing this is misery and disappointment waiting to happen .

Waiting for the bull or expecting the return of the bull before you can hammer or prosper means you don't have a well thought out plan for your financial success.

Pls wheb is zenith paying dividends. I remember selling my zenith units just before payment of dividends and immediately after dividend mark down the thing started rising. I would like to know if it would follow that same pattern this year.
