Oddly enough, I recently watched a video on YouTube about this. It depends, if it's Wakandan Vibranium, yes. If it's Antarctic Vibranium (AKA Anti-Metal), no.
EDIT: forgot to tag the actual question.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by Nobody: 4:22pm On Mar 16, 2018
I saw Black Panther on Thursday, 8th of March 2017 and I must say I was impressed. I fell in love with the Movie most especially their Technology, hey don't look at me that way, didn't you see that amazing holographic car and jet made by shuri and also that amazing shoes shuri named sneakers for only GOD knows why. How I wish Nigeria will be Technologically advanced that way but as they say if wishes were horses beggars would ride.

Well, below are my two cents about the Black Panther Movie.

1.) The fact that Sambisa Forest was shown in the movie pricked my heart. Come to think of it, Nigeria, the so called giant of Africa is now been known globally for negative things like the Book Haram saga.
The Boko Haram scene was even about them kidnapping certain women and girls which depicts the Chibok girls and now the Dapchi girls saga. We Also saw that one of the Boko Haram fighter was actually a victim, a young boy taken or kidnapped from his family by the men from Hell to become a fighter (which I know will be forcefully), who was almost killed by Black Panther himself before he was saved by Nakia.
That scene not only touched my heart because Nigeria is been known for negative things (Thanks to our Leaders or best Rulers because we don't have leader, we only have rulers) but because lots of people are been separated from their loved ones and made to become pawns in the hands of terrorist either as wives, sex slaves, means of income (Ransome) or soldiers.
But the question is, who are we to blame? or rather, what should be done to stop it?
The Line, "walahi, I will shot her" really got me. They really depicted Boko Haram in the movie. That's to show that the movie production team actually knew what they were doing.

2.) One of the things that made me fall in love with the movie is the fact that this time around an African nation is been seen as technologically advanced rather than a poverty ravaged country (third world things).

3.) I also love the fact that everything in the movie depicted Africa, right from the theme songs to the languages to the phonetics or diction to the culture and tradition (especially the part where shuri and T'challa referred or called their Father, Baba. Truly African). Everything in the movie just depicted Africa, no deviation.
The movie actually showed respect for Africa and it's cultures and tradition.
I even heard the movie was directed by a black man which is way to go.

4.) One of the scenes I love was where Shuri told T'challa to strike the upgraded black panther suit the second time at the exact spot he stroke it at first. When he did that the kinetic energy stored by the suit was released and it tossed T'challa away while Shuri recorded it. T'challa was like "Delete That Footage". Mehn that scene was damn funny.

Another funny scene was when T'Challa told Shuri that she and Nakia will head the Wakanda International Aid Center which he recently bought certain buildings to establish. Shuri didn't believe him and asked him if he was joking, T'Challa's reply was damn hilarious. He replied her by exclaiming "HEY". Now what made that scene funny was the way T'Challa exclaimed "HEY", in a typical Nigeria way whenever they (Nigerians) are surprised or shocked. It was really funny.
Another funny scene was when T'Challa kissed Nakia. I guess Nakia was shocked and surprised at his action judging from her expression. T'Challa who kind off felt awkward and embarrassed wanting to save himself from it said "Don't blame me, I almost died". That scene was hilarious. Mehn, I was like is that the best line you've got, to save yourself the embarrassment and awkwardness. seriously how is kissing Nakia and him (T'Challa) dying, related.
I guess we all know how that scene ended. Kissing Things (hey, don't give me that look).
Another funny scene was when Okoue was given a wig to put on to cover her bald head during the Klaue extraction mission at South Korea. She was like "I can't wait to get this mission done over with so that I can get this thing off my head". Gosh it was damn funny. Her (Okoye) reaction and Nakia's reply was damn funny.
Although she later removed the wig tho not after the mission but during the mission (fighting things).

5.) At first, I had an issue with the Black Panther movie which was the fact that the Dora Milajes, the king's personal bodyguards were armed with spears. I wouldn't have had any problem with that if wakanda was just a third world country but the fact that wakanda was a technologically advanced country was what sparked that reaction.
Common, how can the personal bodyguards of the king of a technologically advanced nation be armed with spears, like seriously, do they still see or view Africans as primitive beings. You say a nation is technologically advanced yet you armed the personal bodyguards of the king with spears. Why weren't they equipped or armed with better technological weapons. How will it feel or sound to see the personal bodyguards of the president of the US to be armed or equipped with weapons like spear. It will be weird right? and guess what, it will be impossible for such to happen but why is it so in the case of Wakanda, is it because of it is an African nation?

Well the above were my reactions before I came to an understanding. I came to understand that despite the fact that wakanda is a technological advanced nation they still have cultures and traditions which they keep, observe and preserve which includes that of the Dora Milejes in terms of their dressing and weapons. The wakandians only use technology when necessary and in situations where doing or carrying out certain things or activities by their culture is required, they do it without involving technology, for example, The Ritual Combat.
Also whenever there exist internal issues that need to be solved, worked on or deliberated or carried out, the wakandians always tackle it using their cultural or traditional principles except in situations where the use of technology is needed but when it has to do with external issues, issues that has to do with the outside world, the use of technology might be employed if required. Such scenario can be seen during the battle of wakanda between Killmonger and his Allies fought against Black Panther (T'Challa) and his Allies, crude weapons (permit me to call them that despite the fact that they were made with Vibranium) like spears, sword, Clubs, daggers etc were been used in the battle but when it came to the scenario where the wakadians under the rulership of Killmonger wanted to face off with the world, their technology was employed.
Aside that, the spears been used by the Dora Milejes and also the various weapons (even if they may be crude) been used by the various wakandian fighters are all made of vibranium [the strongest and one of the most powerful metals on earth (MCU)], and you know what that means.

6.) One inspiring and touching thing that made me fall more in love with the Black Panther movie is the fact that despite the fact that wakanda is a technologically advanced nation they still strive to preserve and maintain their cultures, traditions and values unlike the modern day Africa and Africans who are neglecting their cultures, traditions and values for the western culture.
Mind you I'm not saying we shouldn't copy cool stuffs, things or cultures from the whites like Western Education, Christianity, Science and Technology but copying them at the detriment of our Culture and Tradition is a NO NO with Caps. Africans are even copying cultures, things or habits that stands as a threat to our culture for example homosexuality.
How I wish Africa and Africans can learn from Wakandians.

7.) There is something I really want to know. Is T'challa going to be the last black panther?
Because after Killmonger ingested the heart shaped power plant, he ordered that the rest of the plants should be destroyed but luckily Nakia was able to extract one of the plant before the rest were destroyed which T'challa ingested regaining his consciousness, strength and black panther abilities.
Now since the rest of the heart shaped power plants were destroyed and T'challa and killmonger are the only ones possessed by it (plants), does that mean T'challa is going to be the last black panther most especially after the death of Killmonger?
Does that also mean the next black panther (that is if thee will ever be one due to the destruction of the heart shaped power plant) will only have to put on the black panther suit without any black panther's abilities? or is there a way (which I don't think there is for now) that the plants will be revive or remade?
Well, I hope Marvel is going to explain or shed lots of light on that.

8.) For me, I think the exposition of the heart shaped plant is not cool and right reason being that anyone can get into where they are been planted, stored or preserved and ingest it so far he or she knows the enchantment which I guess that most wakadians if not all know (take Nakia's, queen mother and shuri case as an example when they gave T'challa the heart shaped plant to ingest in his camatose state).
The plant is kind off exposed and accessible which is risky. Also consider, what will stop zuri and his cohorts from laying their hands on the plant and ingesting it if they want to and beside it tempting. Because of it accessibility and exposition, Killmonger was able to ingest it and even destroyed it.
I would have suggested that they made it in such a way that for one to be able to ingest the plant he or she has to be worthy or else he or she will die while ingesting it. And for one to be worthy he or she has to be from a or the royal lineage or line of Wakanda. But that is still risky and unsafe because anyone from the royal line can still lay his or her hand on the plant and ingest it.
My suggestion and opinion is they should have made it in such a way that for one to be worthy of ingesting the plant he or she has to be the reigning sovereign king or queen of wakanda (already crowned and instated) which without he or she will die while ingesting it, With that nobody can lay his or her hand on the plant and ingest it.
And also the Black Panthers strength shouldn't have been a plant (so as to avoid killmonger's eviction) rather it should have been a kind off incantation or enchantment which would have been said to invoke the spirit of the Black Panther into the body of the reigning sovereign king or queen.
My opinion tho.

9.) According to the news report about T'Chaka's death, we found out that T'Chaka had two sons, T'Challa and an unknown son. And I asked why wasn't the younger prince (since T'chaka was said to be the eldest) shown or wasn't he in the movie.
Well I guess that's for Marvel to answer.

10.) The movie also had a pinch of Racism in it (I don't actually know if I should call it that). That was depicted after King T'challa finished addressing the UN. A white man asked a question, "what can a poor nation like wakanda offer to the world". That simple and innocent looking question totally describe the way the world and the whites look at Africa and Africans, they see them as an inferior and sub continent and beings. Well I won't blame them, rather I will blame Africans (including me) for giving them that impression, i also blame Africans and Africa leaders who have so refused to develop Africa.
But what made me go gaga with joy and excitement was T'Challa's response to the question, not only him buy his cohorts which included Nakia, Okoye, Ross and the Dora Milaje that accompanied them. They just smiled. At that very moment I was like go dudes, show them what you've got.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by Nobody: 4:24pm On Mar 16, 2018
CONTINUATION

11.) My review (permit me to call it that) about the Black Panther movie won't be complete if I don't talk or comment about the characters.
A.) T'Challa: Well I just love him simply because he is the black panther. What I admire about him is his empathical, compassionate and loving attitude towards people which could been in seen in how he spared M'baku, and also in his relationship with his mother and younger sister, shuri and also how he took the risk of bringing Ross to wakanda to be treated despite knowing the fact that his a foreigner, an agent and someone who is loyal to his country and also how he was willingly to offer treatment to killmonger to prevent him from dying. He is a good man at heart.
B.) Shuri: One thing I admire about shuri is the fact that despite her being super intelligent and smart and also owns a laboratory (that is if she isn't the head of wakanda scientific and technological laboratory or institute) in wakanda scientific and technological laboratory or institute she still show cased the teenage side of her most especially it naughty side.
I see her as a dual personality, this moment behaving like an adult the next moment like a teenager.
I couldn't help but laughed when she gave T'Challa the "F" sign, after he teased her about wanting to see the upgrade she did to her ceremonial attire, I was like this girl, the thing they for your body.
Another scenario was where she depicted her naughtiness at the coronation and ritual combat ground when Zuri asked if there was anyone from the Royal family or line that wanted to challenge T'Challa for the throne, shuri raised up her hands causing a stir and shocking everyone present. I know she raised lots of people's BP that moment only for her to say "This concert is really boring, why don't we just wrap it up and go home". Mehn, I laughed out loud seriously that scene was damn funny.
Aside from being funny, teenagy and naughty she is also brave, she even had the guts to confront Killmonger in battle.
C.) Nakia: She is just brave, that is what I admire about her, her bravery. Gosh, she had the guts to go undercover by allowing herself to be kidnapped by the dreaded Book Haram sect just to infiltrate and carry whatsoever mission she was undertaking. That's bravery at it peak.
She is also a philanthropist who just wants and love offering help and aid to people in need which could be seen in how she persuaded T'Challa to share their knowledge, resources and technology with the outside world so as to help the needy. She is even the inspiration behind the establishment of the Wakanda International Aide center by T'Challa. She has a golden heart.
D.) Okoye: I admire her for her courage, bravery, warrior spirit and her loyalty to the throne which could be seen in where she had to serve killmonger even if he was an enemy so far he was the king and also where she was ready to kill W'kabi who is her lover and heartthrob just to show her loyalty to the throne and wakanda.
She also has this commanding and choleric attitude. She even ordered T'challa during the Klaue extraction mission at south Korea when T'chakla and Nakia were discussing, when she (Okoye) said to T'Challa and Nakia "you guys should focus", That moment I was like don't this Chick realise that she is talking to her king, why must she talk or order T'Challa in such manner. And you know the funny thing, T'Challa actually obeyed her without saying anything. Well that's one thing I admire about T'Challa, He just just humble (you wouldn't even know that he is a King of a technological advanced nation called wakanda) and he always gives everyone freedom of speech and fair hearing, that's the difference between him (T'Challa) and Killmonger.
E.) Klaue: This dude was so far the most annoying character and personality in the movie. But guess what, he is my favourite character in the movie, he is so because of his obnoxious, irritating and annoying attitude. Andy Serkis really nailed the Klaue Character perfectly, I give him a standing oviation for that.
F.) Killmonger: He is on the list because he is the villain. A young tough untrusted guy (which could be seen in how he killed his girlfriend and klaue just to carry out his personal pursuit) who is seeking to avenge his father's death. He is also seen as someone who is empathic on blacks because of the oppression melted on them (blacks) and who is seeking to use wakandan technology to help the blacks worldwide freeing them from the oppression of the whites. That's a good motive but the problem here is Killmonger isn't empathic on the blacks but rather he is hatred filled towards the white (which could be seen in his reactions and actions at the museum in London) and he wants total dominance of the whites and the world at large, this he wants to achieve by seeking to establish a wakandian empire by using wakandian technology, resources and weapons.
His statement "the world is going to start all over and we are going to be on top" says it all.
I think this killmonger of a guy was over hyped, don't get me wrong, he is badass villain but not that badass as he was over hyped to be.
For me, Steppenwolf of Justice League was a more badass villain than him because of reasons best known to me. Don't ask me why, because I'm not gonna say anything about it.
F.) M'baku: What I attracted me to this character was his integrity, honesty and lack of greed although he may be sarcastic. Come to think of it, he was presented with the heart shape plant which will enable him to become the Black Panther which is what he always wanted to be which was why he challenged T'Challa in the ritual contest, what an opportunity you may say but guess what, he rejected it because he knew he wasn't the right person to take the plant rather he led Ramonda (Queen mother), Nakia, Shuri and Ross to T'Challa who is the one worthy of the plant. That attitude and action of him is just priceless.
G.) W'Kabi: I see this fellow as a confuse and easy to buy over kind of person which could be seen in the way Killmonger bought him over to his side simply by presenting the dead body of Klaue.
I see him as a confuse person which could be seen in when he didn't think about his love for Okoye when he and his armies attacked Black Panther, Nakia, Dora Milaje, Shuri and Okoye who is his lover but when he found out that he has been overpowered by Okoye that was remembered there is something called Love and he started playing the Love card with her, who does he want to decieve? I'm happy Okoye didn't fall for it.
I thank GOD for him that he finally got his senses back by surrendering.

12.) The scene were the line or dialogue "I have seen gods fly. I have seen men build weapons that I can't even imagine. I have seen aliens drop from the sky but I have never seen anything like this before" was said was scrapped out from the movie because I didn't see it. I think that line/dialogue was said by Ross when he woke up in shuri's lab and saw the technological marvel of the lab and it's surroundings but thanks to Marvel we never got to see or hear it. That's were I'm at logger head with Marvel, why must they scrap out that scene and line?
Gosh that was my favourite line in the movie, I fell in love with it when I heard it in the Official Black Panther Movie Trailer. I said and recited it almost every time to myself. That was one of scene and line I was looking forward to see in the movie but alas Marvel didn't allow that to happen because they scrapped it off.

13.) The coronation and ritual combat for the wakanda throne was spectated by few people (that is those present at the coronation ground). Is it suppose to be so? Common, a new king of a nation is about to be coronated and the only people that got to see it were those present at the coronation ground. What about the rest of the wakandians, don't they have the right to watch or see the coronation of their new king simply because they weren't present at the coronation ground?
I think the wakandians should have broadcasted the coronation and ritual contest ceremony live (giving the fact that they are highly technologicalized. that won't be a problem) so that every wakandian through out the coast of wakanda would have seen and watch it live and direct.

Well all in all, Black Panther was an awesome movie. I really enjoyed seeing it.
Will I see it again? NO.
Why? because I don't see or watch movies twice.

NOTE: I'm not a Marvel fan, I'm a DC fan but I'm also a lover of good movies irrespective of the company or studio that produced it.

I'm a DC fan to death and nothing will ever change that, not even DC's flopping movies and Marvel's Cool movies.

That's what been a fan is all about. A true fan sticks to whatever or whoever he or she believes in or is fan of no matter what whether in good times or in bad times and not the other way round.

I criticise a Movie when and where it needs to be criticised and I praise and acknowledge a Movie when and where it needs to be praised and acknowledge irrespective of the company or studio that produced it, be it DC or Marvel or Disney or WB or universal or Paramount or Columbia pictures etc
For example, I criticised the Justice League movie where and when it needed to be criticised and I praise and acknowledge it where and when it needed to be praised and acknowledged. Below is the link to that;
https://www.nairaland.com/2262387/dc-extended-universe-film/167#65269167

Looking forward to Avengers: Infinity war and Aquaman.
Those are the movies I'm really looking forward to seeing this year. Mind you, I didn't say I won't see other movies but all I'm saying is that these movies are the ones I'm super interested in and earnestly look forward for. Actually, Black Panther was among my must watch or see movies this year but since I've seen it, it has been scrapped out.

In conclusion, on Thursday, 8th of March 2018 I travelled to the land of Wakanda and I must confess, it was fun filled, Wow and Awesome.
For those of you that hasn't seen the Black Panther movie, I advise you to go see it and your eyes will never remain the same. LOL.

Black Panther as a movie was and is a box office Success, grossing over $1 Billion. Can you beat that. Something Justice League couldn't do.
Black Panther Is Bae.

All in all, my rating of the Black Panther Movie is 8.9/10.

THANK YOU, NAMASTEY.

I'm really overhyped. The little glimpse of Thanos shows he will be an unstoppable villain.
Apart from the badass thanos , the other highlight of the trailer includes the conversation between starlord and stark and spiderman meeting Dr. Strange. grin
Starlord: Let’s talk about this plan of yours. I think it’s good, except it sucks. So let me do the plan, and that way, it might be really good.’

Tony: ‘wow.’
I'm ready for their banter grin

You are right. The movie will make a lot of money but that
doesn't stop it from being clearly over-bloated.
Too many superheroes with their supporting casts from their own solo movie/s,too many henchmen/women,exposition,too much CGI,action sequences, obligatory(sometimes dry)marvel humour etc.
The fanboys won't mind though.

it cannot be Thor, the trailer shows him meeting up with the guardians of the galaxy and then going on to forge his storm breaker weapon. my bet is on either captain America or iron man (it would be cool if both of them bite the bullet) them don try for mcu. I even think Loki will die sef. after he hands over the tesseract to thanos, he'll be executed by the black order grin

The first meme is pointless, you guys are quick to forget that DC ruled the superhero genre with superman and batman classics in the 90's and made billions long before marvel came into the game.
Have you forgot TDK trilogy that made billions and became the first and only superhero film to get an Oscar...something that marvel has never achieved.

The DCEU is only 5 movies in compared to MCU 18 movies and u guys are already jubilating like DC is dead undecided

DCEU is still laying foundation, even the MCU had problems at early stages.

The DCEU is only 5 movies in compared to MCU 18 movies and u guys are already jubilation like DC is dead undecided

Wrong
Spiderman 2 won an Oscar before TDK hit the theatre's

I just did a research
DC actually has 5 Oscars compared to Marvel's 1 grin

And i'm here thinking it's only 1 not knowing that they have 5! And Marvel thinks they've crushed DC grin.

ya moniker says it all - pained DC crybaby tongue
Ordinary meme na im make you wan cry grin

Black Panther - 97% & $1.2billion grin deal with it

Spider man 2 and big hero 6 have oscars tongue .....keep deceiving yourself, the only thing DC crybabies console themselves with is Oscars and nothing else,News Flash: Every movie in the MCU except Incredible Hulk and Thor:TDW have at least one award grin last time I checked DC had like 4 razzies, marvel have 0 grin,go and use your Oscars to revive your dead cinematic universe tongue.....what problems did the MCU have in it's early stages,I'll wait undecided at least marvel did not release mega flops like Batpunisher V Synderman:Yawn of Martha or JokeSh!t League grin in its early stages

Even the deadpool trailer looks better than the DCEU grin, more memes to make you cry tongue

DCEU is still laying foundation, even the MCU had problems at early stages.

DC is leading Marvel in every aspect except cinematic universe.
Your MCU is your only bragging right, DC leads in every other thing.
That is why every time a Marvel fan wants to troll DC, they attack the cinematic universe...that is the only thing they can troll.

Why not troll their video games, the comic books, animated series, Oscar wins etc.
You know you can't do that cuz DC is in the lead.

And after looking for something to attack, the cinematic universe is the only thing you found.
SHAME.

Marvel fans make the loudest noise but the truth is bitter.
