National Assembly can only legislate on federal government money while State Assembly will legislate on State potion. The money in excess crude account belong to both Federal and State government therefore is not under purview of national Assembly. Nigeria constitution does not envisage a situation where federal and state government will have a common purse except consolidated revenue account. The excess crude account remaining illegal account.

You don't know that if sufficient cause is found by the American congress that Buhari has not been honest in this deal, they can block the deal from being actualized despite the payment, and they can force the U. S government to suspend his visit due to concerns about constitutional breaches?
You don't also know that just one person in America can write to his/her congressman expressing concerns about fraudulent activity in the war planes deal and that congressman is obliged to look into it and possibly bring it to the attention of the whole congress? There's no any constitutional breach anywhere. The account is not under National Assembly purview and that people are saying the account is illegal. GEJ withdrew from the account uncountable times without any appropriation and that's why governors then insisted on sharing the money.

It has been on and on, on the radiowaves today. The purchase of a dozen Super Tucano ground attack aircraft for some 400 or so million dollars, last tranche payment as ordered by the former Jonathan administration. So I went online and checked about the aircraft in question.

Ideal for developing countries defence needs where operations are essentially low tech, assymetric in nature. It will essentially be a cheaper and more effective platform to operate than even the Russian gunships, our present hround attsck capability.

However like everything else, the price. Wiki indicates each unit goes for something like 14 million dollars. We are buying 12 so the math comes to about 200 million. How come we are spending more rhan double that. Granted it will be a package which normally includes training, logistics, spares and stores, I can now see why this purchase was rushed through without congressional approval.

It just doesn't make sense and it is obvious someone has been paid off or someone has stolen.

I think a petition should be written to the U.S president, both houses of Congress, and the American public be made aware, that, the President of Nigeria in a democratic setting, and in clear breach of the constitution, which is the hallmark of all democracies, that America champions, unilaterally caused the release of almost $500million,without recourse to the National Assembly of Nigeria,as expressly required by the constitution!
If the American congress and populace are made aware, they would force the American government to halt his trip to the U.S. and start asking relevant questions!!

As much as I dislike Buhari, what in the hell are you talking about? I better hope for your sake this is some type of joke

It's impossible to impeach the President of the federal republic of Nigeria.

For the very same reason the youths of this country can never embark on a bloody revolution.

The same reason that motivated the first coup plotters to kill politicians from all other regions except from theirs.

It's called ethnicism.

My Problem with PDP is the brazen Shamelessness with which they conduct themselves thess days.

They have not exhibited enough remorse to show that they actually regret what they ve put this country through.

Rather trying to reduce the magnitude of their crimes to child's play

Credit must go to PDP for sustaining 16yrs of democratic governance without the kind of palpable tension and looting going on in this country now.

Nigeria is dancing at the precipe of a civil war if those communities in the North and South being plundered by Fulani herdsmen decide to pick up arms for any reason whatsoever.

Think before you type.

That is why president Buhari sent his loyalists to invaded National Assembly and stole away the Mace in order to impeach senate president so that he replace his loyalists in charge of the senate for him to have impunities to steal taxpayers money whenever he wants.

Buhari must be impeached he has stole nation treasury withe impunities.

History is repeating again.

You're awfully too small to be so hugely irritating. Are you not done with Ignorance?

A low IQ president who doesn't know the law, doesn't know that Excess Crude Account (ECA) is a joint account of the Federal, State and Local government, which means non can withdraw it without the other.

You're one of the reasons why Nigeria has high illiteracy level, because interpretation of everything goes down clan and religion.

Your problem is you think sufferhead is the same as hardwork? how has your hardwork affected electricity in Nigeria?? how has your feeding your family fixed the road or made herdsmen vanish? like your father before you, your generation is going down without 24 hrs electricity and your solution is to work harder so you can buy a big generator right? you are your father's son, no sense of anger toward the establishment, please save some money to travel out so can enjoy 48 hours electricity without generator everywhere and you would see why Nigerians are traumatized, angry and sometime abnormal.

. The account is illegal and since no legislation established the account, signatories have unrestricted access to the account meanwhile, governors approved this withdraw. The only option available for any person not pleased is to ask court to declare that account illegal and balance shared. GEJ also withdrew from the account in the same manner.
