The final piece of this series on education because (sniff sniff) I can't afford to keep paying the writers in bottled groundnut. Please thank them in your comments, they really tried.

We do what is known as Structured Play and it usually gives better results than regular teaching. We also use it to expand our curriculum, you would ve shocked at what your toddler is able to absorb. So we put together some examples of ones we did:

This one wey everybody dey recommend blue seal. I honestly was using only blue seal and noticed that area was peeling, I switched to powder, after a while, it started.

Maybe I go try the vaseline again then. Thank you very much.
Also, try to air his bum time to time. Just lay him bare on something that can absorb his pee and allow breeze reach his bum. Leaving him tied up in diapers all the time can cause sores too

I was using blue seal but I noticed it started peeling, hence my using powder which stopped it for a while. Now it's peeling at that same place, just between his legs.

I'll try ori.

Mummy, thanks nne. like today,I didn't wear him diaper on time. I took him to his poo like four times nothing. I also notice the poo face,I rushed him,put him down. he ran away and the poo ceased. that is what he used to do. that poo sit is like a motor to him.
but I will keep trying,I want to achieve this before he starts school by September.

Adanne and bobo are good. thanks my sis. pls do send my regards.

Mamas abeg for those who have baby boys, what do you guys used as barrier cream between the legs? You know the groin area, the two folds around the thighs.

My boy is 7weeks and we use powder but I noticed the skin there is starting to peel as at yesterday. Please help o.

Powder is supposed to absorb excess moisture. It sounds like you're drying his skin out. Try a regular moisturising diaper cream. Pat him dry down there during changes.

Well done mama.

Thanks o!
Meanwhile, the momma that showed us her kid's playfood, sent more pictures. Her child goes to a Waldorf school (no plastic allowed, they drape their schoollights and do a lot of nature walks) and if you see examples of playfood eh! Even me, I want to play. We found these ones. We will hopefully do a tutorial on them (if I can get everyone to stop running to Canada!!)

Blue seal vaseline.

@ d bolded, I remember the nurses use to tell us then that we should not use powder as a barrier stuff for babies. That it can make them have rashes i.e urine will make the powder to stick to the thighs. I don't know how true though but I use vaseline for my boy all through.

I'll go back to vaseline then. He doesn't have rashes tho, just that area that is peeling. Thanks

I don't pat dry normally. Use wipes, air dry, powder, nappy. I'll start patting him dry now. Thanks

Stop the powder for now though. Keeping the place moisturised and lubricated is more protective than over drying it as well. smiley hth

Nice one! We should learn to foster creativity in our children. Margaret Mead said "children must be taught how to think not what to think".
