Hi guys, my apology for the slow (weekly) updates as I can feel ur discomfort with it. I'm still a work in progress to standing by my commitments as I like to do my things slow but steady.
I really appreciate your lovely COMMENTS and LIKES, they had been really inspiring. At this juncture, I would love for you to correct me on some grammatical errors you've noticed so far as I would really love to learn from u guys as well so I would inculcate them as I make further updates.

keep it up bro.. You are actually doing a great job in here! Kudos to you and more ink to your pen! I believe your use of grammar is very okay and easy to understand, the plot, the names you use and the way everything played out can be awestruck! Well as for me you are one of the few writers I read their works here on Nairaland.. So keep doing the good job.

CHAPTER ELEVEN

MESSENGER OF DEATH

_______
Amirat stood stiffened in the corner of the kitchen where she hid herself and Tom beside her, she covered the little boy’s mouth with her hand to prevent him making any noise. She felt her heart hitting rapidly upon her chest with her body dripped of sweat as she heard footstep approaching the kitchen, then it stopped like it owner was thinking against it. She wouldn’t come out of hiding knowing for sure that wasn’t her brother’s style of stepping, Jamal wasn’t the type of man to take gentle steps in panicky times. Amirat tried to guess who it could be but no one came to mind, neither she nor Jamal had ever invited friends to the apartment, at that moment she wasn’t sure if Jamal had broken the rules by inviting one of his numerous customers to come check-out his artistic works rather than taking it out to the street or market.

“Who could that be?” she thought as soon as she heard the kitchen door slowly opened. She could hear her heart beat furiously within her quiet space, she thought of her brother, wondering why she couldn’t hear his footsteps or voice anywhere around. She had a great urge to come out of hiding from behind the fridge but she held back sensing something wasn’t right. The footstep stopped abruptly right in front of the fridge and it owner sniffing the air.

“My little Tom, it’s alright, you can come out from hiding” a soft spoken voice urged. It was a familiar voice and that prompted Amirat to meet its owner.

unmhnmmm I'm thinking about that too, but I don't think we can figure it out especially with the way the writer writes this particular piece, bringing and taking us back into different times and dispensation, let's just seat and watch, I guess we are close to the concluding part of the story.
