In other news. Lateef Omidji has confirmed the invitation for the under 15 championship from Nigeria. He said it will be an honour to rep Naija in the championship which will commence from July.

I see some of us arguing unnecessary, in few years time we will see that most of those we actually fought for might be another uchebos, reuben, nwofor, Igboun and so many flash n a pan, then we will start looking for excuses to give for our stupidity.

Hope we know that world cup is not the end of someone carrier, lets give these players we defended 2 yrs from now and see who is better.

Thats my own piece.

Forgiveness only called Nwakali a flop in the context of club football na.. Or let me rather ask him, how would you rate K. Nwakali's performance against Atleti?

Walahi! If I say I was not impressed, flabbergasted, dumbfounded etc by his performance in that match,I dey lie but since the unit measurement standard has been set here by the two faced double standard fellows, I have to stick to the rules na. grin

However, as Komekn said consistent performance at the top level leagues should determine the factor for invitation into the National team. With that, I concur.

Moreover, after watching the replay of the friendly, I discovered that when Athletico Madrid decided to keep the ball, we were dominated for about 25 minutes but as soon as we scored, they decided to give up possesion in the middle and hit us on counter attacks which eventually worked for them.

It was not as the result of our dominance in the midfield but the tactics Athletico Madrid used made us florished in the midfield.

Awaziem proving to be the best deadballist in camp with his ability to bend the ball either ways with top notch accuracy Dat gives the keepers big headaches. It is no surprise bkus he did it several times for Nantes this past season.

It's a plus

Didn't I say the boy is an attack minded? He is also good on the air.

ehen, let me correct the one I can correct

Forgiveness listed Simy and Iheanacho's stats, from a FULL season, and compared it to Kayode's stats from HALF the season and concluded, quite CUNNINGLY, that Kayode deserved a call up.

Selective amnesia issa bastard

SMH. Where did you see that?

What edi287 said is the truth. It's not about whether forgiveness is used to it. The question is, is it right, this unceasing accusations?

He's come out to say his children's language is eastern, his wife is Niger deltan.

And yes Humility017 called even pleaded for Nwakali's inclusion (of course out of a clean mind) but the point edi287 is making is that if forgiveness were to do that he'd be called a tribalist and it's easy for non regulars to settle into the mental frame some of us have created here to accuse forgiveness of tribalism and this must stop.

I couldn't bear komekn's views. I stopped reading them.

This accusations must end. It does the thread no good.

And you saying edi287 didn't come to your defence is to me a bit disingenuous cos the context in which the incident you are referring to played out is quite different from this diffused accusation going on here. Even at that many people, not one, not two defended you.
it's okay. I think I need drop This nwakali cry...too.
moreover I am not in way related to the dude by blood or tribe....
just want the good of our super eagles.....

to be true... rarely will one not likened sir forgiveness words here from a tribal angle...
I later come see him as a very controversial person.... though kind of interesting too .

so let us rest...

the talk get as e be.

OK statistically Kayode had a better season than some of the players we invited so what's wrong with forgiveness pointing to that as a credible reason for his call up to the national team?

Then some will say that national team form is all that matters but how many opportunities has he had to hut form for the national team?

On the other hand, Iheanacho's had a bad season but then we give excuses like no preseason, injury and lack of game time ( all of which Kayode suffered at some point as well) and if forgiveness uses the same logic for Larry he is a tribalist. It used to be funny now it isn't anymore but then that's why this country is in a mess. see me now I have to function twice as normal because JOHESU don go strike, keeping me occupied much more than usual, no love in this country

The bolded is right on point.

If we are frank and sincere we would acknowledge the fact that Kayode has not been given an opportunity to show what he's got.

The talk about him being given an opportunity is absolutely false. Opportunity is not cameos. If cameos are opportunities then let no one excuse Iheanacho(yes I will mention him again because his situation presents an apt example) not being given opportunities by Puel.

In this context opportunities mean run of games not cameos.

Bias I can accommodate but bias masking as fairness I cannot and that's what we do here and when forgiveness takes our biased units of measurements and applies it to other players he is tarred and blackened.

oga how many players had the opportunity they wanted, players like nwakeme, onyekuru even agbo is looking for opportunity, Ebuehi did not even get the opportunity even when shehu was ineligible to play

My point is why kayode Why can't you people make case for this other players, why kayode on this thread always. Is he better than the other players dropped.

when did Kayode suffer injury?

People that have sense already told forgiveness why Kelechi is in the list as opposed to Kayode, but some people no free hear word

Statistically, Niangollan had a better season than others in the Belgian team, he dey list? Statistically, Icardi also had a better season than others in the Argentine team, he dey list?

So, what exceptional thing did Kayode do that we will not hear word on this thread?

See for yourself. He was injured.

Besides, who questioned Iheanacho's inclusion on the list? Me? shocked

You are just insinuating.

That's the point na. Somebody was crying Dessers sometimes ago. Nobody called him a tribalist.

I myself was peeved with the way forgiveness went on with the Kayode thing for so long but does that make him a tribalist? That's what gets to me

You are making the point for me with the Iheanacho/Puel yarns. I don't want to mention a popular moniker here who constantly decried the cameos Iheanacho was getting as no opportunity. Mikeal2 insisted the cameos were good enough and I remember we came down hard on him.

And the bolded shows you either don't understand me or you deliberately trying to twist my points and it's best I don't go on cos in every post I've endeavoured to stress that I am even indifferent to Kayode and did condemn this constant wailing. So I'm surprised you'd say the bolded. Maybe we are talking about two different things here.

It's not about Kayode. It's about forgiveness, it's about contributors here. Take away Kayode, take away Iheanacho and my point remains: It's about those who are biased calling out another man for being biased.

LOL, I never said we don't stand a chance in hell.
We actually have a very good chance of making it out of the group if we play to our strengths. Let's maximise those strengths and we scale through. But how strong are the strengths? Despite the massive bounds we've made recently, the team is still average. That is my point. I support the super eagles, but that won't make me lose objectivity.
