Give us Biafra and watch how we would dust the rest of West Africa.

Igbos are not united enough to get Biafra

For where...

Check and see how the people in Abuja will pass a law to kill it.

Its either UNN will be denied further grants or a bank will come and claim UNN is in debt...

Nigeria is configured to fail...no matter the good intentions...

Too bad..but truth..
Things can change. We have to change our mindset

Road side technicians also produce cars. Why buy Japanese and German cars? If you're not a Mumu, you will know there is a difference between nokia torch and state-of-the-art smartphone.

By the way, what havw you and your entire village produced? You only produce words on social media.

ojietu:
This is terrible for Nigeria if at this point in time we are celebrating university graduates producing inverter when road side technicians have been producing them for long.
I weep for my country.

Yeah... The result of the 8yrs is what we have in the picture

Seriously?

They took a bunch of pre-existing components and crafted something as simple as an inverter, the schematics and blueprints of which could easily be found online for free, and you are all here celebrating this mediocrity?

And to think they call it an "age-long research" project.

MIT and Caltech discovered gravitational waves. UNN is building inverters
I will actually say we should encourage this type of work.
I have a prag inverter and it is doing perfectly well, could this inverter (UNN made) beat the prag inverter?
Will the UNN inverter be cheaper than the prag inverter with the same specifications?
Then if answers to the questions above are yes then let us go for their product.
Many of the products that are made in America are not made with components solely made in America.
NOTE: I am not from the East, I am actually from the West and since nobody told us the names of those involved in the design and construction of that inverter we could safely conclude that anybody from Nigeria could have been involved afterall, it is University of Nigeria and not University of Biafra grin grin grin

Ibos are always fighting with themselves.
You think anyone give a shìt about you while in reality, your existence is not adding any values to our lives.
You can have your biafLa LefeLandum if you want, it's not going to solve your problem. Your problem is deep within.
You people don't even love each other.
There's no unity among you. That's why you call yourselves OSUS. OSU-ALUSI, ORU OHU EMU ETC.

Even in church, just recently, the pope summoned a church in Imo state because they refused to accept an ordained priest. The reason is because HE IS FROM ANAMBRA STATE.

To be honest, it's a shame that students from unn are celebrating something like this. Inverter is too basic for a final yr project sef, unless u are improving on the research already made, but from what I read they was no improvement here they just build the same old thing everyone is building.

Everyone is building high capacity pure sine wave inverters? nawa for u

Inverters are just 2 transformers on alternating revolutions of the solenoids.

Nice one this is good we need things like this in Nigeria.. Waiting for those ones that will start shouting 'mediocrity' when they can can't even make anointing oil and they call themselves chemistry student.. Can't make ordinary rotor and they call themselves engineering student..
Only if we have a good working government who actually supports creativity trust me Naija should be competing with China because we have all the resources.

The road side mechanics can only produce "modified sine wave" inverters. These undergraduates produced "pure sine wave" and not only stopped there...made it work in tandem with a menu system and remote function. Stop hating! It kills!!

Afonjas and envy are like bread & butter.

What nonsense did you just type. Hate is blind folding most of you from seeing reality. Here in Benin City Brightens electricity has been producing sine wave inverter, locally made. Its office is close to UBTH. If you wish to learn the technology, he is even willing to teach you. I think the training is 100k(not so sure of the amount)

Abeg forget about that, we have been building inverter since year 1992, if you need the circuit, tell me, I will post it here for everybody to know it.

I don't depend on PHCN before I use power in my house, I generated gas from my soakaway, I don't make noise about it. If you want to know about how to do this, I will post it here.

Can you create a thread for this and mention me. Thanks
