PING!!! grin

Hello everyone! Please I need some information (urgently) from active uber/taxify drivers (uber in particular). what is the vehicle inspection process for uber like? I would like to have a comprehensive list of issues that can arise during the vehicle inspection process of uber/taxify (uber in particular). I look forward to your contributions, thank you smiley

Safety equipment such as c caution, fire extinguisher, Jack and spanner, extra tyre.
Then they will check your radio(not music player), ac, interior, lights, tyres.
Then exterior.
After that they drive the car for wheel balancing and alignment, brakes etc.
If everything works they will give you a pass, if something is bad they should be able to fix it for you.
You might want to get all this before you go there because of they do it for you, it's going to be more expensive.
They'll also check your car papers.
Up to 24 hours after inspection, they will send your inspection report to your email.
You should take that inspection report to www.partners.uber.com and upload it there.

You also need to upload your insurance cover.
Uber's insurance is not very adequate for its purpose, for instance, you aren't covered even if you are online but have not got a request. If anything happens during this period, you could fall through what is known as the ride share gap, where you are not actually covered by Uber's insurance.

Taxi App Guy has entered into a partnership with AXA Mansard that allows us to give you the best deal on ride share compliant insurance. You don't have to worry anymore whether your insurance covers all your ride share activities. Because it now does.

Its the best deal in town, hands down. We offer you cash back on your AXA Mansard insurance.

Here is how it works;
- Contact AXA Mansard and ask for their price quotes.

- Contact Taxi App Guy and compare price quotes just to be sure you are getting a better deal.

-If you are satisfied Taxi App Guy is giving you a better deal, and you would like to go ahead, an AXA Mansard representative will be in touch with you, usually within minutes. Taxi App Guy does not collect any payment or handle any money from you. We only facilitate you getting better insurance for cheaper.

After your comprehensive insurance has been installed, you can contact Taxi App Guy for your cash back, and we will process it and send your cash back payment, usually within a week.

It's all very straightforward and Taxi App Guy never handles your cash. After indicating you want to enter our cash back program, we immediately hand you over to an AXA Mansard staff, so you deal directly with AXA Mansard at all times.
What we do is take advantage of our relationship with AXA to help you procure the best deal possible for your ride share vehicle.

A friend of mine who gave his car to a driver didn't know the driver has been sub-renting out his car to SARS officials here in Lagos, this might not mean anything if the car owner cares about just money but then the car can be marked and he might get in trouble someday we all know what SARS stands for these days there might be retaliation from victims and the driver who rented it out might not be the one behind the wheel.

So in as much as we want to make money let us all not be so desperate at it, the car in question has been abused you would think it's a Danfo, the car has been mishandled it was later my friend found out the car was been used by SARs officials.

. Over sense. Far better. Imagine using 2k fuel to make close to 20k on daily basis. Spending less on maintenance and servicing. Spare Parts easily accessible and readily available and not expensive. It can withstand our bad roads. Suspension is good for bumps.

That is why we tell everybody to sign an agreement.
In our Agreement template, it is explicitly stated you cannot sublet the car unless otherwise agreed.
Partners must bring up these discussions upon entering into an agreement with renter/hirer.
-You cant take it out of the state unless with permission.
-You can't smoke, drink or have sex in the vehicle
-You can't sublet the vehicle.
-You cannot use the vehicle for other purposes than it was agreed. Which means you can't use it for along rides, using it as a hauler carrying heavy items etc.

So that when such happens you can pull out your agreement and deal with the matter appropriately.

Don't play with your investments, don't wait till there is a dispute before you sign an agreement. By then it is usually too late.

What happens to those drivers that get paid by riders to leave the car so that they can have a private discussion with opposite sex in the car.

The driver that leave the car with A/C on, do not know whether they are talking or talking.

Lol, personally I do not leave my keys in the ignition when other people are in the car and I have to leave.
If you want to 'talk' with the windows up in the sweltering heat, fine, but I'm not leaving my keys in the ignition with perfect strangers, even if I had the best insurance and tracker in the world.

Most especially for 'nefarious' activities.
Small time they will ask for room service. grin wink

Imagine how stupid I would look, if someone paid me tops 5k for that arrangement and then zoomed off. Even me, I will not be able to report it to police.
I will just go home.

Car Owners should install remote CCTV inside the car to monitor if bedroom activities is taking place in the car.

What of drivers that sleep in the car overnight?

What of drivers that collect Uber fare in kind when the gal is out of cash?

grin cheesy grin

Am just looking for small trouble ni jare.

But to be sincere, without any form of monitoring after the agreement has been signed, abuse is bound to happen because how would you know when such happen inside your car when it's with the driver.

The agreement is not for whether you will smoke or you will not smoke, it is so that the day the partner finds out, he can have something to fall back on in his argument. Otherwise, it would be that, "We never agreed I couldn't smoke and burn your seats, did we?"
Agreement in itself cannot stop anybody from doing anything, and that ironically is precisely why we sign them. Otherwise, people would do anything. grin

You are correct about being blocked the question now is why? Earlier the feedback i get on my home screen when I try going online is your account have not been activated. For a account with over 100 completed trips. Then it changed to the screen shot I posted.

I will try having a live chat with them tomorrow if that does not solve it then I will find time to go to their office tomorrow.

Good Morning House,

What is your take on steam washing your car engine, is it still advisable, and if not what are the other options, to ensuring the engine is clean from dirt.
I am about to change my car alternator and i suspect from the little online research that i have done, that using high pressured steam washer could be a likely culprit. Your opinion would be appreciated.

You can use it on Uber/Taxify but the question is how long can it withstand the heat?

Some cars are not suitable for the job

Driver might shy away from this and getting one can be an ish

You should be expecting anything below 35k/weekly

My opinion, sell add money and get any of these cars (Toyota Corolla,Hyundai Elantra, Honda City or Toyota Prius)
