You should have wait for your passport to return before buying ticket. Anyways it takes 8-10 days for passport return and for you to know your visa has been stamped, check your online status, if you find approved, it means it has been stamped.

Thank you dear was able to track the postman down yesterday and got my passport back.

Hi everyone, my brother submitted his family visa application on June 21 while his son biometric letter has been received on his application portal the next day, he and his wife have not yet received their biometric letters respectively till this moment.

Has anyone experienced this and what can be done to solve it?

Actually, I know someone who's biometrics letter didn't come through on time like yours. Guess what, she mailed them after 1week and she received the biometrics letter that same day. What we don't know for sure is if the email did the trick or it was just a coincidence.

Anyways, here's the email address if you want to try as well:
question@cic.gc.ca,
lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca

Send to one and cc the other.

Make sure to include your - Full name, Application No, Payment receipt no in your email.

All the best.

Hello everyone. I have been following this thread since my hubby mentioned visiting Canada,( it was never on my list of tourist countries)lol. Anyways I have read this thread from Part 1 to Part 2 in the last 2 months. I am about to start my application process and i will like to ask a few questions and they are as follows
1. Do i open one application form for my husband and I or separate forms?
2. If yes, to same application form; do we both need different letters of purpose of travel/itinerary breakdown?
3. Can my "Letter OF Introduction" by self also entail my purpose of travel and Itinerary breakdown or each letter should stand alone?
4. Do I write a separate letter explaining my bank statement in a situation where one is involve in Thrift aka Ajo?

Thank you very much.

i asked this earlier 2weeks ago no one replied me.

Hello I was rejected on the following grounds.

Travel History
Family ties
Purpose of visit
Current employment situation
Personal asset

Now the thing is that all the above mentioned, I presented documents for them including travel history as well, I also presented family asset because my father is my sponsor and his financial statements was about 18m.
My application process took less than two weeks and a decision was made.

Could it be that I made an error feeling my application form. Or what do u guys think

2. If yes, to same application form; do we both need different letters of purpose of travel/itinerary breakdown? No you will complete separate forms and you don't need separate letter all u can do is both of you can sign a single letter
3. Can my "Letter OF Introduction" by self also entail my purpose of travel and Itinerary breakdown or each letter should stand alone? Yes you can just give each subject it's heading
4. Do I write a separate letter explaining my bank statement in a situation where one is involve in Thrift aka Ajo?Not necessarily you can just explain as a paragraph in the letter

Thank you very much.

Do you have family in Canada?

Are you working in Nigeria?

1. Separate applications
2. Attach the same letter of introduction to your application.
3. Yes. And if you are employed a letter of introduction from your employer too.
4. As long as your account has inflow and out flow and maintain a reasonable balance no need of explanation.
