Good morning. Please help a mum. My 15month old son has this catarrh for so long. Been using different catarrh syrup prescribe for us. It did not go still. Now, we have stopped using anything on him. Though he do have catarrh and after using drugs it will go. But this particular one has been over 2 or 3 weeks. Its not as if he is drooling, or the catarrh is running down from his nose oooo, but when he sneeze the catarrh will come out and even if he breath, you can sense it. Please what else can i do? Thanks |

Hello, good morning family, it's been long I came here. Pls, I need your help o. My 1year+ son is very strong, 3days ago I noticed he was passing out watery stool, is stomach was bloated n he refused to take anything, so, I suspected he is bringing out teeth (Molar). I administered flagyl syrup, baby rex n vitamin c n ORT but it got worst so I took him to the hospital yesterday. We did test n his malaria test came out positive, the doctor prescribed amoxylin suspension n Camosunste (Amodiaquine and Artesunate), which I started giving yesterday, but I noticed he slept all tru yesterday n in d night, he is very weak, his stomach is still bloated n he still passes the watery yellow stool. Pls, am very worried, who has experienced this, this is my baby's 1st time of getting ill. Pls, sabi mama's and doctors in the house, help me, don't ignore , couldn't sleep since yesterday. Is it only malaria test they ran? Although I see they gave him antibiotics too, did they talk about infection? How often is he stooling? Does he have fever? Please continue the ORS if he's stooling multiple times, go back to the hospital (or another one) and get a proper diagnosis Whenever tests are run for your child please ask questions and let the doctor interprete the test properly for you. Malaria shouldn't cause a bloated stomach or runny stool. Teething is not sickness, and babies should not be weak because of teething nifeseun: |

Were you given antibiotics in the hospital? For stubborn catarrh I usually do garlic, ginger, onion and a little honey. Blend and give a teaspoon 3 times a day NB for anybody who plans to share, honey is dangerous for children under 1 ftmum: 1 Like 10 Shares |

prettymaxy: Lol. My son wanted to try that thing with me, that day i made sure he sucked more from that same breast and i still offer it more to him now. Thats how i corrected it. In my case, i noticed that d right breast produces more milk and rushes out faster, so he naturally prefers that one cos he is a foodie. 1 Like |

nifeseun: Malaria should not cause bloated stomach and watery stool. Please let them do urine test and blood count to be sure its not infection. All the best and God keep them safe for us all |
