Hey everyone! How did the summer holidays go? I trust we all survived? Lol What new life enhancing skill or tip did you adopt or learn? I for one managed to get my kitchen properly organised to a tee! I disposed excess items ie plastics and the likes snd now everything has its place and so on. Fingers still crossed on punctual meal times but God will help me. How's everyone else? Striving on your resolutions of getting the children in school on time? God dey By the way I hear putting away 500 daily from now till December 20something will ensure you have nearly 50k in savings which can of course be put to good use. You may wanna consider that! Cheers people 7 Likes |

People of the world my face is suddenly filled with wrinkles oh..... I need ya epp with recommendations on what to do . I hear a tumeric facial mask /wash daily can help? Has anyone tried this? Then I’m also looking for referal to local massage people! Please help ya girl I have 2019 so paramount on my mind! Yep I know this year isn’t over yet but God sparing our lives I’m beginning to consider mentally what I wanna do next year! Has anyone here done that before? Prep early for the next year that is. One Facebook group I’m in emphasises a lot on goal setting being prepared in this life. I’ve learnt over the years to set goals in different ways. One could have monthly , quarterly and then yearly goals . It doesn’t have to be big it could be as little as ‘work on my weight ‘. Then of course one breaks it down into the steps to achieve that and so on. There are individual goals and couple goals, financials goals and health goals. All in all the overall aim is to ensure that one takes charge of the year and tackles it in an organized fashion. I encourage everyone here to try it today. Ensure you write down it helps to remain focused and of course one can modify as may be needed Am I making some sense? XOXo !!!!! 2 Likes |

MNDE 18 Randomly stumbled on your diary.... these tips may help during your omugwo visit 1. Have minimal expectations and accept any gestures with profound gratitude. In fact make an exaggerated show of accepting or being thankful for any gestures to you and or the baby. 2. Be prepared. Arrange for a weekly cleaner to help with the heavy cleaning during that visit you cannot do it alone and already know that mama will not mop the floors for you. Minimize asking your hubby to do chores while she’s there such people will likely read meanings into it and could cause ruckus based on that. 3. Bulk shop and bulk cook as much as you can. Even if it’s just having fried meat and pre boiled pepper on standby it’ll ease cooking stews and the likes. I find that cooking okra, beans, vegetables, egusi and ogbono half way before freezing helps to make it taste freshly cooked and so on and last longer in the freezer. 4. Be organized as much as you can. Arrange baby’s things and sort yourself too. Present yourself as ready for the challenge up ahead ie having a baby. Don’t be naive and act like you aren’t sure of how to care for the little one. Accept her instructions but be assertive when you need to be. 5. Pray pray and pray 6. Avoid potential quarrel triggers and overlook wrongs for the overall good. Eg mama can call you lazy for sleeping till 8am just ignore or smile and say “I was really tired ma”. 6. Serve meals timely as much as you can. Don’t ask what she wants make the meals and serve. Make a timetable for your own sanity. 7. Prepackage a gift for when she’s leaving. Fabrics, slippers or foodstuff (like a hamper) usually would do the trick and depending on your purse and envelope of some cash too! Other mamas will add as we go along. Good luck 8 Likes 3 Shares |

I keep wondering about this and thought we could discuss it It’s discipline as it were for older children Do you smack your children? Would you smack your children? Should you smack your children? What discipline methods should you use that would effective? I smack my smallie sometimes but only when I’m at my tether ‘s end:.... the older ones have received a fair share of my hand and mr do good. I’m looking to explore other means of discipline for smallie. What works for you? |

babythug:I hope not to be beating my children. That's a promise I'm making. Though I know it might be difficult, as kids would always be kids. My mum's discipline for us was correct smacking with tongue lashing.. I honestly don't believe that works, all It did was made me scared of my mum hence we didn't grow close which is something she always really wanted with her children (closeness). I envy people who gist with their mums like they're sisters. I want me and my kids to be like best friends . God help me to teach my children discipline 2 Likes |

Hello guys! We have so many posts up on www.nefescorner.com, we discussed Feeding your baby, Discipline, Sex, Fashion, Health and Safety and so much more. The blog is a curation of several voices a collective. So if you're getting tips on Discipline, you're getting it from a Mum whose children are in their 20s. If you're getting Health tips, you're getting them from a Dad or Mum who's a Doctor. Our Sexx tips were from a Sex therapist who is also a Mum and a former exotic dancer who had twins some years back! This way, we try and give you experienced voices, people who have walked in your shoes and know what you're dealing with. We have different sections, our "It Happened to Me section are real-life stories (yes, even the first story there was true ). So please check it out and enjoy. I won't always be able to drop links here (I may be leaving Nairaland) but you can always subscribe. Thanks for letting me speak 5 Likes |

Senior mums, i need help. My son is 6months +, we just started solids, so far we do solids maximum of 2times a day. Sometimes, once and at other times, he takes just a few spoons and wants nothing with it. Since we started solids, sometimes he poops once in 2days, at other times, twice or once a day. Now, this is day 3 and no poop yet. I'm yet to give him any food today, yesterday he ate solid once and 2days ago, two times. He drinks his water well and still on breastmilk. Please what can i do? I'm trying not to be worried cos he farts ALOT and it is smelly, stomach isn't hard and he is his usual self. Can i give orange, maybe dilute it a little? Pls answer biko. Cc babythug |
Re: The Graduation Spot And Other Room! by babythug(f): 12:12pm On Oct 06, 2018 |
rvpbae: Yes please give him a few teaspoons of oranges or puréed pawpaw |
Re: The Graduation Spot And Other Room! by rvpbae: 12:29pm On Oct 06, 2018 |
babythug: Ok. Thank you Do you think i should hold off giving him solids? Atleast till he poops? My layman thinking is that i may worsen it. |
Re: The Graduation Spot And Other Room! by goodhairdiary: 1:10pm On Oct 06, 2018 |
rvpbae: What solids do you give him? Maybe you should give him puree with fruit mix, that should help Or blended oats, it helps too |
Re: The Graduation Spot And Other Room! by rvpbae: 1:24pm On Oct 06, 2018 |
goodhairdiary: I'll work on the fruits. He takes blended oats with veggies. Pap, rice, all with veggies. Thanks 1 Like |

rvpbae: Sorry been caught up with chores! Surely pooping mode will change once a baby starts solids. But let’s clear his bowels first before adding new meals |
