I need to share this experience or better still advice to the house(especially newbie on ehailing) since have also gained from stories and experiences from people on this forum. I got a request at mma1 airport today, I called the rider a female to know where she was, when I got to where she was which is just at the arrival, I decided to wait for her to come into the car since she was very close to me. Before I knew it men of the underworld clipped my tyre as she was about to enter. I said oga this is my passenger right in my car that am leaving now, she was close to me that was why I decided to wait some seconds for her to come in. The guy said I was not supposed to park at all to pick a passenger. To cut the long story short they took the vehicle to their office gave me a ticket of 10000. I begged and begged infact this should be my longest begging if there is any grammar like that. I eventually paid the money. So please like I said for those just coming in incase you find yourself at the airport mma1 in particular make sure you are very careful and smart if possible use the car park. Those guys are actually terrible and heartless. You need to see the way the were impounding vehicles today even while I was leaving their office more cars were still coming. I even heard from sources after my experience that those guys themselves now make request and setup Uber drivers. Please guys try as much as possible to avoid them you may be wrong you may also be right they don't care at all.

Once you get rid of the bed bug, go get seat covers for your car seat so that when next you see bed bug you can easily pull off the seat cover and soak in hot water and wash.

Don't get it wrong, I did not allow the car to enter their station, I vehemently oppose that and when they see my reaction, we decided to park close to the station, just like two houses after the police station. I did not enter the station, they never ask me or my driver to enter their station.Secondly, either myself nor my driver entered the sstation, there was no need to as the people we were dealing with sef dey their checkpoint they control traffic. Thitdly, we did not write any statement, as no one demand for it. They jus keep us for road, for more than five hours. Ny driver did his best for the first two hours before he called me. The only tin they have is d car key.
Seriously, I don't know why you are getting yourself worked up on this inconsequential matter. Oga, there is no issue here as far as am concerned. Nigerian Police na police? Even if your driver like let him pass that same route tmrw and wave to them, they won't even recognize him or the car. Do you know how many people they impound their vehicles everyday? When dealing with those guys you have to be smart. Abeg go and give your thoughts to something better and meaningful not this one.

So sorry about that bro, big lesson learnt. Airport work is for the brave and strong hearted. Anytime I find myself at the airport no matter your personality when I pick your request you must come to the designated car park. Sometime last month, I accepted a request on uber at the same local airport and the man called immediately and asked me to drive to the arrival and pick him, I made it clear to him that I cant do that that he has to come to the car park which is the pickup point. The man insisted that I come that his a military man. I just locked up and cancelled the request. This is one of the reasons why so many drivers don't do airport work.

Heya!... I don't pick up at arrival, but I have picked up over 1000 riders from departure ( ie the fly over route) you are allowed to stay 2-5mins there.

Next time, just tell your rider to come up to departure by taking the stairs linking down to the park. And make sure he/she is upstairs at the departure b4 going there.

Also note that for drop off, go to departure but if the rider is going to the arrival just drive into the car park straight b4 you end the trip. Park fee will be added to riders fare straight up. And you can wait there for the next rider to request.

If you are already in the car park before a request comes in. Don't drive out of the car park to pick up. Walk out, trace the rider and take him/her to where you parked your car.

God bless y'all

I have a car on ehailing with a driver for the last four month and he's trying for me to be honest. This morning around 8am, he called that police arrested him with the car for traffic offence. Rider decided to jump out of the bus due to mad traffic witness today in most part of lagos. He was arrested for that. He did all he could but the officer insisted that he won't release him, and that d case will go to court. The car was impounded and parked in front of their police station. I was called and I went there, offered everything I cud but d guy insisted, about 8 police traffic officer on one uber car. They wanted miney no doubt, but they also wanted to frustrate u first and later demand for one outrageous amount, that was their plan. The car key was seized but no doc was collected, I was there frm 10am to 1pm, I was really really angry. Then something struck my mind, the car was parked like 2 kilometers from where the officers were seated. I took a bike home, brought the second key and informed my driver to leave them alone and walk away. I just jejely carry my car with d second key and I left the other key with them. Guys wat do u think, any risk, do I have to do something or still reach out to the officer maybe like a month frm now. I need opinion, suggestion.

Leave them alone, let them take the other key to court. Dumb policemen, they will never report it because it will make them look silly. I'm sure they don't even have the plate number

For the people that live around ipaja-egbeda, how much is it to vi?
I mean for the commuters that go to VI that always flag vehicles down as early as that 5 am.
Responses will be appreciated.

Been following this thread for a while. I have an 05 camry. Unfortunately, it's the 3.0 V6 version. How viable will this particular vehicle be on the taxify/uber platform? I am particularly worried by the comments of most partners here pertaining the v6. The mpg difference between the V6 and the 2.4L inline 4 variants of this vehicle seems to be only 2-4mpg. How feasible will this be?

Not a big deal. Go for it. You can always stop if it's turning out not to be economical.

I am very happy reading your post because you are very smart
Don't worry about the keys you left with them, they don't have your particulars so they don't have anyway to trace you, but try to install a car tracker to your vehicle it's very important.

U don’t have a problem, I have done this before at iyana oworo bustop. It was early in d morning, I was trying to get some passengers to ajah to make up for my fuel but a particular policeman forced his way into my car and told me to park. He started demanding for my key. He said if I don’t give him d key, he won’t listen to me. I stylishly removed the car key from d bunch of keys while I was still pleading with him and gave him d rest. The foolish guy just left me there to go arrest another car. In his mind, he’s impounded my car. I just enter my car and drove off. Na my house key I give am

I have been using uber to work for 3 weeks now for some personal reasons. I have used uber for about 39 trips within the 3 weeks. 31 out of the 39 drivers I encountered are crooks. The trip maps always show something I don't understand for the same trips o. These guys are just out to cheat. I am tired of reporting them to uber. Why do we have dishonest people everywhere in this country. Even the female drivers.

I do not agree with you that 90% of then are fraudulent, the new uber app is the problem, its only comparable with Iphones, Uber have even recently been telling all drivers to get iPhone 6 and above. The Techo and infinix brand are guilty of this location change or zig zag movement, its happens when drivers update their phone operating system, without calibrating their compass on Google map. And most of them are not even aware of this. To drivers in the house please learn to recalibrate your compass as often as possible......God bless your hustle.
