The greatest problem we have today is the fact that we have greatly underestimated this book haram group. I use to think it was a rag tagged bunch of extremists in their hundreds. Not more than 300. I thought it was because of their small size that was why they have been able to evade capture.

Please. Nigerian army can't handle boko haram. The magnitude of this war is beyond us. Not even ECOWAS can clean this mess because the bulk of ECOWAS is actually Nigeria. We need help and fast. Countries that will sponsor us and join us in defeating them. Truth be told. We lack the resource and know how to deal with this.

Swallow your pride and send SOS to the international community for help. If it means accepting to host united states African command (Africom) in Maiduguri or anywhere else in Nigeria, so be it. Remember that book haram is no longer a local organization. It has metamorphosed to an international state sponsored organization. Funds are coming to them from Muslim Arab nations sympathetic to their cause. Nigerian army do not have the funds to match it.

They are still growing. They can be stopped if they are still under ten thousand. But if you let them cross and keep adding to their fold, then Isis which is today already sponsoring them will look like child's play.

The greatest mistake we made as a nation was to pay ransom to them and release their members. It has only embolden them.

Melete was a disaster, Boko Haram is a dangerous army willing to die. Instead of criticizing the army, please join civilian JTF or ahut da hell up.

Fighting terrorism is obviously a daunting task. However, bragging that Boko Haram has been defeated or even degraded even in the face of so much show of audacity by then is outrightly shameful.

The FG said they were still facing pockets of resistance. Boko Haram is not beans. Their survival so far has been retreating when there's an offence against them, then when things are calm, they regroup in full foece. They are intelligent as well. They also dont fear death

I predicted this two years ago, here on Niaraland. I warned that Nigerians believe that Nigeria is the worst Nation in Africa when in fact Nigeria is one of the better ones. I argued that this belief by Nigerians that they are the worst Nation in Africa is blinding them to the true deplorable state of Africa for which Nigerians should be making preparations to defend against in case of continental anarchy . Africa is full of useless nations, with Hopeless unemployed youths that will readily join Bokoharam. Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia and a few others are just the few hopeful African Nations vulnerable to repercussions that may flow from the African flaw.

The African Flaw: now, Africa people mentality can be hopeless and self eviscerating. I believe the origin for this lies in African peoples not having had time to evolve an all encompassing life philosophy. Humans are born with the spiritual need to believe in something greater than themselves -hence the creation of religious beliefs systems. Since Africans largely never created any of these holistic philosophies their need for worship finds expression in the elevation of other races above themselves and conversely a hatred for themselves or and any group within themselves that shows signs of being better (thus the crabs mentality). In a warped sense, let us state, 'in the African religion of White Worship, a progressive black/blacks is/are an apostate, blasphema'.

Nigeria being better than other African nations, her culture dominating, her people more progressive has drawn much hatred to Nigeria from other Africans, both progressive ones and none progressive ones , so that it is inevitable that Bokoharam and sponsors will find ready supply of recruits in Africa where many hopeless nations abound, eager to come partake in the destruction of Nigeria and her people if possible. With the West gleefully pulling strings in the background, if or when Nigeria falls, then in a few years to come hatred will shift to another African Nation, any African nations that shows Nigeria’s capacity especially if that African nation like Nigeria does not show a predilection to deriving their sense of worth from worshipping all things white or none African.
