So you are no longer a christian! But you are clearly anti-Catholic? So what would motivate a non-Christian to make this type of post?

Yes Im anti-catholic if that is what you call it. I'm no longer a Christian doesn't mean I don't believe in God. Catholism is a religion of deception, try to justify it as you may but it doesn't change the fact. They do and believe in lot of things that are not biblical.

You may need to buy a pair of glasses. I said "IF"

This quote shows how shallow your knowledge of the Catholic Church is, or the Missal

You would not find this in a Catholic Missal. You could as well snap the missal if you have proof that is in the missal.

I saw where he got the content from. The site was more of meditation on the glorious mystries of the rosary. Why not email the owners of the site to explain what they wrote, he is busy harassing every catholic he see online.

A seminarian cannot separate rosary from mass. And busy jumping from one website to another, picking up crumbs to castigate the catholic church. This shows how serious he was then, maybe busy showng off to avalanche of girls that litter the church, which is a yardstick the alter knights value so much.

Do you believe the above? If yes, and you an no longer a Christian, then you have been deceived.

So you don't believe the bible. You don't believe Jesus is the Way? You have bigger problems to worry about!

Neither is there salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved.

Can you say same for our Muslim brothers? Cos many of them were born into it too, not having a choice of their own and we all know how brainwashing from early childhood could be very effective look at the suicide bombers for example..... when you’ve been associated with something for a very long time changing your beliefs system is very different (especially when ever other denomination out there has been called fake and demonic by the Priest)

When knowledge increases the understanding of the bible increases too, if our parent that couldn’t read the bible nor do certain research in history accepted the catholic faint blindly, now that we are grown it’s only logically we think of ourself and don’t rely on our parent or grant parent decision..... we should think with an open mind study the bible make valuable judgement and choose a more logical path inline with the bible to seek God.

Oh yes there are retreat organised yearly to that effect and you know it always has poor attendance and let’s not go into how ppl get shut down if they ask question not in line with the topic of the retreat.

funny enough you talk of Catholics born in to Catholicism but you forgot protestants can be born into Protestantism, you guys also indoctrinate your kids teach them your style of prayers etc but you rise up and condemn Catholics for bringing up kids according to their faith.

Good news is that everyone has a chance to check out the claims of his religion and decide whether or not he agrees so I don't get why you seem pained about Catholics raising kid according to their faith, the Bible itself encourages it.

Maybe attendance in your area is few not in mine.

I have been there before and I can clearly tell you that 80% catholics either don’t own a bible or personally don’t study the bible...... why should they do that anyway when the bulletin is there for Sunday and almost every other society (except the Catholic charismatic renewal) in the church placed their focus on Mary and/or have a Manuel or pamphlet of selected prayers and order of worship...anyway that aside.

Technically speaking it wasn’t the Catholic church that coupled or put the bible together, it was emperor Constantine I (who happen to be a pagan and well celebrated in the occultic world) he even baptised at the time and also mind you that meeting had bishop and delegate from Catholic Church, Eastern Orthodox Church, oriental orthodoxy, Assyrian church of the East etc in attendance.

Also it’s Important to know his reason for putting the bible together and unbanning Christianity.
It was simply to gain political support among Christian bishop and for the unification of the Roman Empire which he did by unifying Christianity and pagan worship, that is clearly seen in the tradition, doctrine and dogma of the Catholic Church today...... I can give you a list of them and how it connect to pagan worship of you want me to.

It’s easy to think that the apostles taught directly in the Catholic Church but you seems to forget that for the first 280 years of Christian history, Christianity was banned by the Roman Empire and Christians terribly persecuted..... we were often told then in church that apostle Paul is the first pope, till date I am still searching for biblical, historical or archeological evidence to support that claim.

Also you said something about word of mouth teachings, let me state here one of the reason that council of Nicaea happened was that at a point in time a lot of teaching and letters were in circulation and most were not verifiable, traceable nor in line with the doctrine of the bible, thus it became confusing for Christian which teaching to follow and which is fake.....thus putting the bible together was more like verifying some and disapproving some letter and teaching in circulation. now if you are saying some of your doctrine, dogma or teaching not found in the bible was taught via word of mouth how can we verify that? especially when it not only goes against biblical doctrine but it is also out rightly condemned in the bible.

Mind you I was a catholic and I almost became a priest until I started studying the bible...... I am not trying to insult or fight over this I am just trying to wake up my fellow brother and sisters who might still be sleeping.

Be sincere to yourself my brother the disciples in the bible from what we’ve read and understood about them, do they fit into present day catholic or present day petecostant..... I leave that for my opponent to answer.

A dude here @pachukuwma made a post blasting tithe payers he just exposed his ignorance cos he clearly don’t know that the catholic pay tithe too.
constantine was not there when the bible was canonised that is a lie.

Secondly the council of nicea didn't canonise the Bible.

Thirdly, there was no eastern orthodox or oriental orthodox church when the bible canon was been set at hippo and Carthage another lie.

Lol. You want to explain mysteries I don't know to me? Me wey been carry Legion of Mary for head. You explained the first three glorious mysteries with staunch bible reference. But the explanation of the last two that has to do with the Virgin Mary is flawed. You cannot say that Mary is coronated upon the fact that she is the mother of the David king. I would also like to see the writings of the early Christians you so talked about, let's know where they get their inspirations from

There is nothing flawed about it every mother of the king in the davidic dynasty is a queen mother having her own throne besides the king.

Mary gave birth to Jesus Christ a king according to Luke 1 of the davidic dynasty, his mother is automatically queen mother... Simple as ABC as for early Christians see them below.

St.Jerome tells us "We should realize that Mary means Lady in the Syrian language."

St. Peter Chrysologus says "The Hebrew name ‘Mary’ means ‘Domina’ [Lady] in Latin. The Angel therefore calls her Lady so that the Mother of the Lord, whom the authority of her Son made and caused to be born and to be called the Lady, might be without servile fear."

St. Ephrem has Mary say:
"Let Heaven sustain me in its embrace, because I am honored above it. For heaven was not Thy mother, but Thou hast made it Thy throne. How much more honorable and venerable than the throne of a king is his mother."

He also says of her:
"...girl, empress and ruler, queen, lady, protect and keep me in your arms lest Satan who causes evil exult against me, lest my wicked foe be glorified against me."

St. Gregory Nazianzen calls her "the Mother of the King of the entire universe" as well as "Virgin Mother who brought forth the King of the entire world."

Epiphanius of Constantinople said that the unity of the Church would be preserved "by the grace of the Holy and the con-substantial trinity and by the prayers of Mary, Our Lady, the holy and glorious Virgin and Mother of God."

St Andrew of Crete tells us "His ever-virgin Mother, from whose womb He, being God, took on human form, He today transports from earthly dwellings as Queen of the human race."
also : "the Queen of the entire human race faithful in reality to the meaning of her name, who is exalted above all things save only God himself."

St. Germanus says to her : "Be seated, Lady, for it is fitting that you should sit in a high place since you are a Queen and glorious above all kings."

St. John Damascene calls her : "Queen, ruler, and lady"

An Anonymous Eastern Father calls her "the perpetual Queen beside the King, her Son...whose glorious head is crowned with a golden diadem."

St. Ildephonsus of Toledo proclaims "O my Lady, my Ruler, Thou who governs me, Mother of my Lord...Lady among the handmaidens, Queen among sisters."

You wish, I am not against raising kids in a particular beliefs system or religion but I think Everyone should have a right to think and make necessary choices regarding serving God, but giving thst child the bible so he could search for the truth, there is nothing as fulfilling as personal convinction.

There is a saying that if you don’t know where you are going to every bus stop will look like your destination.

Don’t put a child in Legion of Mary and make that child kneel down saying repeated prayers to a statue of Mary, that’s is not biblical (it’s actually idolatry) and isn’t a path to the truth.... bear in mind that child might never see a need to actually study the bible even when he or she grows up, and the mind set will be “ cos I was born into this I can’t leave nor question it cos if it was false my parent and grandparents would have known”

Let me lend some historical perspectives from D world oldest surviving institution(D Catholic church). In our 1985 years of existence we do not define truth unless errors abound on the matter(Act 5). There was no canon scripture in the early church, in other words there was no bible. The bible is the book of the church, she is not a church of the bible. It was the church; her leadership, faithful people guided by the authority of D spirit of truth(Jn 14: 16-17) which discovered D books inspired by God in their(apostles) writing. The church did not create the canon, she discerned the canon. The council of laodicea in 360AD produced a list of books similar to today's canon, but Pope Damasus in his decree listed the books of today's canon after the council of Rome in 382AD made a case for it. The council of Hippo created the list of both D new and old testament books in 393AD as it is today. The council of carthage(N.Africa) did D same in 397AD & 419AD. But D final infalliable definition of canonical books by D catholic church came from council of Trient in 1556AD, which upheld today's bible as it is. Only 27 from hundreds books written by the apostles. Contrariwise, Constantine who know only of Biblia(books) and not Bible(book) died on 22nd of May, 337AD. So your write up is based on malicious gossips, blakmail & backed by no-facts or evidence except what wikipaedia and the some other men on the web were able to gabaged together the other day, so no leg to stand on. Teach the catholic church history because you were once a seminarian.

The council of Laodicea (363ad)took place about 38 years after the council of Nicaea (325ad)

You know about the council of Laodicea but you don’t know why it was held, Let me tell you why.

The council took place soon after the conclusion of the war between the Roman Empire and the Persian Empire, waged by Emperor Julian. Julian, the last Constantinian emperor, attempted a full revival of paganism and resumed discrimination against Christians ( after Christianity was unbanned by Emperor Constantine)

Talking about the council of Nicea Pope Sylvester I was in attendance ...... if you are well versed with the succession of your Pope you will be very much aware that Sylvester rules way before Pope Damasus came to power.

Here is a link from the official catholic website, it contain facts and figures about the same council of Nicaea you all are saying didn’t happen.

my parents who raised me certainly made sure I had and read the Bible, both privately and publicly daily and more importantly they made sure I had access to how it has been faithfully interpreted in the Christian Church for 2000 years so I will not be deficient in biblical knowledge or half cooked in exegesis. No protestant can say the same, you may be giving a Bible but it is usually with your own private interpretation or the interpretation of pastors so and so which is why Protestantism has a big record for heresies.
The Bible was never written so that every Tom dick and Harry will decide for himself what it teaches, the Old Testament was written for the Jewish community with authorized teachers, the New Testament was written to the church who already knew the gospel in toto as a reminder. So I am happy to read scriptures under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and in the right context.

In that right context joining the legion of Mary is not even wrong as it is a dedication to Christ in the example and under the intercession of the blessed Mary, it is both good and holy.

I can’t be going back and forth with you..... now you sounding pained, take it easy.

I said Eastern Orthodox Church sir,

Anybody with internet can get the history of the origin of the bible, I mean anybody and don’t act like you got information not available to the public(those kind of information are locked up in a secret library in Rome that even most cardinals cant access)

Anybody can read the bible and understand with the help of the Holy Spirit, and you will be playing yourself if you think or believe that the Holy Spirit is found or available only to catholics cos at the end of the day God is not interested in which set you belong to be it Anglican or Pentecostal.

Your last paragraph really got me laughing, Legion of Mary is both good and holy .... what makes it holy sir educate me? Is it biblical? You talking about intercessory or mediating, if you claim to know the bible so well wouldn’t you have known that 1 Timothy 2:5 says? JESUS is the only mediator between man and God and nobody in between wasn’t that what Jesus died for? ( and pls don’t tell me about that wedding at Canaan that happened before the death if at all)

I have some questions for you sir...

- Do you know Praying repetitive words using Rosary beads is forbidden.

If you truly read your bible you should have Seen that in Matthew 6:7

- why does the pope have to choose who are to be called saint and who aren’t ? Was the average Christian in the church at Philippi called a saint, in distinction to bishops and deacons? You can check these scriptures to confirm 1 Corinthians 1:2, Philippians 1:1 .......Maybe you missed them when you read your bible sir

- Do you know every according to the bible every bishop must be married? Check 1 Timothy 3:2-5 How come the Pope woke up on morning and felt celibate men commit less sin and ban priests from getting married also see what the bible says regarding those dogma and culture against marriage Timothy 4:1-3

- Do you know Baptism is full immersion in water, not sprinkling? It’s still in your bible

- Do you know the Dogma and culture originated by the pope is forbidden by God? It’s in your bible in Mark 7:7-9

Let me not even go into the Bowing, knelling and kissing of images of Jesus and Mary both at the grotto and on good Friday ( also practised in Legion of Mary and almost every society in the Catholic Church)

Let me no go into infant baptism too.

I can go on and on and on..... before i left the Catholic Church I wrote over 1000 of such practises that were against what the bible says.

If you truly read that bible you would have seen so much contradiction, ask questions and do a lot of thinking.

I bet you don’t even know the connection between the Catholic Church (Jesuit priest) and the Freemasonry.......

The deception is real my brother.... peace be with you.

I mean, if you are not a Bible believing Christian, why does it bother you that another does an extra biblical thing?

Bible Believing. Lol. You think your Bible is some divine write up. The Old Testament is the original work of the inventors of Yahweh. The Romans copied and related their Jesus to it. Today the Jews don't believe Jesus to be any thing more than a mere mortal. They practice Judaism and uses the Torah which is the same thing as the Old Testament, so will you call them bible believing or not?

Do yourself a favor, open Wikipedia and Search for the page "Yahweh". Read and digest the article, it will do you a lot of good.

You never answered my question.

It may also interest you to know that the Christian Bible is a merger of two Covenants - the old and the new.
The old testament isn't just the Torah(law). It consists of the Torah(law), the prophets and the writings(I thought you knew this but you obviously do not).

The Christian Church believes in Yahweh(the God of the Jews by your understanding) and she believes in Jesus Christ and so, it is only natural for the Christian Bible to be made up of the old and new testaments.

So, what makes the the Bible, Bible isn't just the presence of the Torah - (which you ignorantly believe to be the only old testament book and even equate it to being the Bible), but the merger of the OLD TESTAMENT(covenant) which consists of the law, the prophets and the writings and the NEW TESTAMENT(Covenant) which consists of the Gospels, the acts of the Apostles, the Epistles and the Apocalypse.

Now, I ask again and this time I want to believe you'll be honest enough to answer me, since you are not a Christian (and as such, do not believe in the Bible of the Christians), why does it bother you that a particular group does extra biblical things?

You have fallen a simple trick of someone who neither believes in Jesus Christ nor in Christianity. And are busy arguing with yourselves.

However would love address your concerns, in a different tread

I saw where he got the content from. The site was more of meditation on the glorious mystries of the rosary. Why not email the owners of the site to explain what they wrote, he is busy harassing every catholic he see online.

A seminarian cannot separate rosary from mass. And busy jumping from one website to another, picking up crumbs to castigate the catholic church. This shows how serious he was then, maybe busy showng off to avalanche of girls that litter the church, which is a yardstick the alter knights value so much.

Lol..... you don’t need to lie about the rosary and mass things, wen you start reading the bible and the Holy Spirit start ministering to a lot of stupid looses their value been practice there.

Ubenedictus:

Why don’t you show us the bible to back up the adoration and worship of Mary sir..... educate us on that sir
