Madam Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, the ECOWAS Head of Election Observation Mission to Nigeria, has called on all candidates in the Presidential and National Assembly elections to accept the results “in good faith”.

Johnson-Sirleaf also said the elections were largely peaceful and transparent as voters were able to cast their votes freely, NAN reports.

“ECOWAS, AU and the UN call on all candidates, political parties and indeed all Nigerians to continue to exercise patience, calm and restraint, in order to allow for the full results of the election to be released by INEC.

Protest is not against the law. We are talking of peaceful protest here. Many successful nations passed this route. We must stand together irrespective of tribe to reject impunity. Majority of Nigerians are hurt by this experience.
