It was initially Cameron, now it's May.

I do hope the next PM will not resign before this brexit that is always coming soon.

Just so you know, we voted for Members of the European Parliament just yesterday.
Please read my post. Can the people vote for who becomes the leader of the EU? Can the people vote to have a controlled border? Didn't the EU threaten Hungary when they democratically wanted to fulfil the will of the people by banning Muslim immigration? Buda!

This, being the only thing you said in your very agreeable post, I can't understand why people say it! Cameron should have known the majority would vote to Brexit. He apparently never knew, never prepared, and had to resign because he lost his Remain mandate. And I think he should be tried for treason for getting us in this mess in the first place.
David Cameron committed no treason. He promised the people that he would deliver a referendum and he did, what's wrong with that? He wasn't prepared for the result as he thought the remain campaign would win and he didn't want to soil his reputation by being undemocratic to please the bosses in Brussels. He might be incompetent but he is not a traitor for calling a referendum.

Imagine! UK exits from Europe! Doesn't it sound like we'd have to move all of Britain to off the African coast or something to exit Europe? Or is it the Britons who move leaving the land in Europe where it belongs?
Lol. Europe is a place while the EU is organisation. Just like Norway, Britain can leave the EU and still be in Europe. What you just wrote is absolutely ludicrous. grin

They gave May way too much to do and broke her. We'd see how this all plays out come Halloween.
Lol. Theresa May, a staunch remainer, accomplished nothing. She purposely delayed brexit, crafted terrible deals and extending article 50 despite promises to honour the votes of members of parliament even if it meant a no deal brexit. She always went back on her promise, extended article 50, brought back the same deal and ordered a new vote. Have you read Theresa May's deal? What sort of deal is that?

She is a traitor of democracy and a traitor to her nation. I rest my case here, I shall say nothing more on this issue.

Apination:
Even those who know nothing about Brexit are calling her useless. Whoever manages to get them across, the people would come for his head sooner than later, because the EU has decided to make them the perfect Scape goats for anyone thinking to tow the same path. If they are to return to the EU they would be treated as newbies with no seat on the table and if they finally leave, the economic impact would be devastating, companies would leave and British companies would be taxed to death abroad just to name a few. Theresa May knows this and that's why she tried to push for a second referendum undecided

Britain would certainly survive, nay thrive post Brexit. You honestly think the second referendum is about whether to remain or exit? Nah...the decision to exit is sacrosacnt. .even May knows that, which is why her deals have been about the terms of leaving. The proposed second referendum was meant to be a choice between Theresa May's deal and no-deal Brexit. Britain is certainly better without the parasitic polish and the criminal Bulgarians and Romanians. Whatever shocks they would experience may only happen for a few years. Admitting unequal countries into the EU would certainly create problems for their biggest economies especially if they are welfare States as Britain is. Turkey and Ukraine are knocking on the door.Thats scary. Brexit has to happen to restore some form of sanity and control. Boris Johnson would deliver that.

Democracy, 39. If the numbers are there for what you suggest that's exactly what would happen. Just you observe the results of the election held all over Europe yesterday. The European Parliament are worried we'd all vote for people who would implement those policies you stated. Thankfully, those policies are not what we want, as you'd see by those we have voted for.

1) what are the policies I stated?
2) what are the policies you don't want?
3) what do you mean by "we"? Why try to speak as if the british people are on your side?

Anyway, let's end our discussion and wait for the results. Have a nice day.

That, 39, is the exact definition of beans is not beans, lol! But anyway, back to topic.

Euroskeptic parties have always existed within the European Parliament. But they’ve struggled to wield substantial influence. Their staunchly nationalistic views aren’t exactly a successful formula for cooperation in the pan-European political body. But the current crop of far-right leaders are trying something different this year: attempting to build a cross-continent alliance of anti-EU parties. They’re betting that by working together, they can weaken — and remake — the EU from within.

If the parties listed in the article win enough seats they'd be proposing the policies you listed.

I presume.

Martinez39:
2) what are the policies you don't want?
Banning people because of their religion, to name but one. We (Europe), have been there before. Read up what 'we' did to the Jews.

Martinez39:
3) what do you mean by "we"? Why try to speak as if the british people are on your side?
"We", "the people", as democratically determined by a majority, and not by some fringe minority like those few you mentioned in Hungary!

Lol. Theresa May is a traitor of democracy and a traitor to her nation. The Britian does not need the EU infact, the EU is collapsing and needs Britain. The EU knows this and are afraid hence they are using fear mongering and name callings. When Hungary banned immigration of Muslims, did the EU not threaten thunder and fire? What have done to Hungary? Nothing! Absolutely nothing!

Britain is better of without the EU. Without the EU and with a hard brexit on WTO standards, the UK can enjoy the following privileges :
1) regain their sovereignty and can make their own laws.
2) they can control their borders and effectively obviate the destruction of their working class by the uncontrolled massive influx of immigrants.
3) they can strike trade deals with other countries on their own terms.
4) they can boldly protect their culture, values and identity. These are under threat given the clash between Islamic values and western values. The vices and unwillingness of illegal immigrants to integrate can be tackled without the fear of being called "racist," "xenophobic," "islamophobic," and fear of losing your job or being expelled from school because you happen to be "right wing."

@bold
The remain economic experts said all sort of things would happen if the British people voted Brexit. Did those things happen? No! Why should you believe them?
Brexit is far beyond Islamphobia. If you follow Brexit it is very complicated. The UK can't just breakout. There are a lot of things to be done and is very difficult for the UK. Infact the Brexit is now unpopular in the UK. The intricacies are so much, infact they never saw it this way. The issue of Scotland, Ireland, border, economy and trade is making it very complicated

Lol. They've started again with the talk of how complex the process is. Oga, the process is not complex. The main reasons for brexit votes were: 1) the issue of uncontrolled mass illegal immigration, 2) the need for sovereignty and 3) the protection of their culture, values and identity.

Is China not a civilised country ? But they have a life President. All humans are naturally greedy and would want to cling unto power for as long as possible.

The system and structures in these countries won't condone a life President or a dictator. That's why they finally cry when living office, they wish they could stay. But the system and structures are just too strong for them.

I was not too impressed with her. Her talkative nature did not help either. I really appreciate the fact that she acknowledged her failure to deliver brexit.
That's what true leaders do, unlike here where our own leaders are always busy shifting blames to others for their failures and misdeeds. Difference between civilized people and savages.

Lol. Before the referendum, every major player for brexit and UKIP said leaving the EU would also mean leaving the single market. Besides, the people never voted for any deal. Besides, have you read her horrible deal? That deal is what prisoners of war offer their captors. A very terrible deal of surrender it is. Brexiteers never voted for such a deal. They voted to leave the EU and single market.

Mrs. May promised that even if her deal was rejected by the Members of Parliament, she would honour article 50 and deliver brexit without a deal. What happened? Each time her deal was rejected, she extended article 50, brought her deal again and called for another vote in parliament. This happened again and again coupled with the fact that she bought time because, according to her, she was negotiating with the EU. Theresa May's deal, in it's current form, also includes the possibility of a second referendum — what a traitor to democracy and her nation.
