“Their interests were far more important than the collective interests of the APC, even when most times such interests are at variance with the ideals the party stand for.

“You would recall that it was under that leadership that some impudent members of APC called the bluff of the party by imposing themselves on the National Assembly as leaders contrary to the position of the party. Where was the party?

“Where was the discipline when this happened? It would be difficult to calculate what lack of courage to assert the party supremacy cost APC over that period.

“The consequences of the inaction of the party were unimaginable. We all saw the consequences on governance as the National assembly practically held our government to ransom.

“The impunity, which President Muhammadu Buhari has rightly described as lack of patriotism, constituted an unfortunate hindrance to the smooth running of government.

I'm not saying Oshiomhole is a SAINT, Nobody is. But i know he gat some conscience and will not accept or condone any act's of indiscipline from any members of APC. This is why Nigeria is the way it is, non implementation of laws and rules because of sentiment.
If you must eliminate cancer from a pat, you must face it squarely with radical treatment and the lots of normal cells die and the whole body suffers along till the cancerous cells are eliminated and the whole body slowly recovers to full if it doesn't die.
Fear of the dying because the radical treatment does give room for the cancer to persist for cancel that Oyegun allowed to grow hence, Oshiomhole must be radical about the cleansing. If he succeeds other members and future members 'll fall in line and they gain credibility for 2023.

Oshiomole is doing what any reasonable party captain would do : reign in renegades while appealing to the voice of reason and loyalty . He isn't forcing anybody but you can't ride on the ship of APC and sabotage APC especially when no noble but selfish principles are involved. It is called indiscipline and there are consequences hence we have structure guiding the affairs of a political party. By pedigree and historical exigency , Oshiomole is the best party chairman to emerge in Nigeria in recent times. Didn't he go to beg Ortom when the Benue debacle got out of Oyegun's frail hands; or didn't Oshiomole give the party structure back to ungrateful Okorocha when it had slipped away from his selfish hand only for him to greedily and stubbornly hand over the whole state to PDP ; or who would tolerate an Amosun for sponsoring another party to the chagrin of all sane folks; or you dont know that osho baba has also warned that young thug in kogi that if salaries and pensions are not paid he should forget second term ticket? We can't be complaining about a bad country and at the same time frown at the efforts aimed at reforming it.
