Please house, what is the cause of delay even after 2weeks of receiving BVL? The person applied with an upfront medical which was updated to pass on the 28th may, on 7th June, she got a BVL and since then, no decision. Is this normal?

Yes. My other friend that got a pick up mail from vfs yesterday also got his final decision mail.

I believe they rejected him for no actual reason. Cos this guy is a big business man and has traveled all over the world with business and personal account of over 70m.

All documentation was top notch.

Reason they couldn't come up with a refusal excuse

Thanks a bunch!

Being the HR/Admin Personnel of the Company; I solely drafted all the official letters to the best of my knowledge.
Candidly, I need assistance on what to do next cos I've exhausted all my Administrative knowledge.

Could the Visa rejection also be traced to the fact that I'm going for a Diploma?
Kindly help.

It could be, but with a very good and convincing sop you could scale through that. How early do you intend to reapply?

Sometimes its not all about how much in the account but how well one can convince the VOs through an SOP.

Hey guys, for those who booked with Ethiopian airline, how did you do it? Every effort to book directly on their site or mobile app doesn't work, it rejects my Gt card, both naira and dollar card.

You can't book online for now if you're from Nigeria . Go to their office at No 3 Idowu Taylor. Go with your ATM card . They have POS . Take care

Hello everyone

I’m new here, although I have been a silent reader and this platform has really helped me a lot with some important details regarding my application but I have a little problem and I am seriously confused and tired
So I applied for my student visa to Canada via the paper route on the 21st of May 2019 and I just got a correspondence letter today 21st of June 2019( exactly 1month). I’m getting really scared because I was told it’s better to get called for medicals before they send the biometrics correspondence letter.
I applied from Nigeria and it seems my application is being handled in Nairobi. I applied for a second degree course in the university of Manitoba and my dad is my sponsor. Please do I have anything important to be worried about Should I do my medicals ahead?? Is there any positive sign in all of this Please someone should help me with something

From what I have been seeing here, it is a rejection if you get biometric correspondence letter before medical letter.

I advise to start gathering your documents for another application.

And to give back to the forum before I travel, I would like to willingly assist few applicants finding it difficult to secure MSc funding admission, including magic tips on how to charm a supervisor lol.
Also note, first impression matters and that determines the rest of the positive interactions depending on the supervisor’s response.

I was once in their shoes and I know how frustrating it can be, this is the best I can do!!!

Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! shocked I must confess that this is the best application that I have ever played an active part starting from the admission process down to the packaging of the visa application cool. The approval didn't come as a surprise to me, because I was too sure about it's favourable outcome after been up and about for several nights, writing and cracking my brain in an effort to put up an undeniable application, considering that she had a 38,000CAD$ full scholarship from Brock University. Documents were bulky yet very clear and readable. @Dera12345, I have always known you to be a self-motivated and relentless maiden who aspire to attain greater heights in life. We have been in this tedious process since last year and I can tell how many times you were rejected by potential Supervisors. I am extremely delighted that the whole struggles and hurdles ended with a remarkable Victory. Thanks once again for trusting and believing so much in my capacity my dear Dera12345 kiss. It's indeed a great honour to be part of your TRV crowning achievement and I wish you the very best in all your endeavors.

Accept my Congratulations my dearest Dera12345 grin

Over 70M, and still got denied?
I think there's something wrong with his application. Probably, his SOP lacks some vital information.

[Sometimes it is unnecessary to make hasty generalizations. Please be informed that the embassy places calls to sponsors every now and then. I feel this is done when they need clarification on issues. This usually happens after they have spoken to the bank.
It is not strange for a sponsor to end with "feel free to contact me if you need any further document".
At this juncture, when a lot of applicants are waiting on a decision to be made on their application, the least we can do is brush issues aside, we should take every issue seriously and learn from it. It wouldn't cost us anything to give our sponsors a hint to expect a call at anytime. To your uncle, the fact he lied doesn't mean it doesn't occur. Thanks.

Bros,

Like I said, there was a clause in my statement which says I maybe wrong.

To the bolded above, we should learn but not take it seriously and also make sure we do the right thing.
We are all entitled to our belief and opinions and I spoke based on my own instincts which doesn’t fail me. I maybe wrong to some but I work with convinctions.
This is a faceless forum where so many pple can come up with fake Approval news. Won’t you believe?
I have a very close friend, he paid agent for work permit in Canada, agent keep telling him that they will soon call him for Biometrics.pls tell me does biometrics take up to 2years?

See, I have a lot of experience on this traveling stuff that’s why I make sure I do proper research before I do my things.

I may be wrong anyway but we are all here to learn but still I believe in convictions that why I gave such response.

Nevertheless, I really appreciate your response.

Good day house, I want to do upfront medicals. my question is: can I do it just after online submission of application and send to CIC or it should be before the application submission? suggestions from those who did upfront medicals will be appreciated.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by crusader6(m): 6:58pm On Jun 21, 2019
This denial issues isnt getting funny atall.. Those guys are heartless now. I personally think theres more to this stuff than just a good sop, documentations or financial asset. Its obvious that people going for higher degrees like msc and phd are well considered before those going for college programs and bsc. they should be specific when giving reasons for denial.. Other than the normal generic reasons which often prompt us to reapply and end up being refused with another generic reason.
I know the number of Nigerians trying to migrate into Canada is very high currently and as such they are left with little or no option.
What if they have certain number of international students they allow into a particular province yearly or into a particular college yearly? Theres definitely some kinda trick or standard they are using... Lets keep our faith Alive.

since you have the money and wanna do it, do it before you submit your application, so that you can just upload the medical sheet once and for all.

Please can you send me your contact in Uniben. WES has sent them a mail to verify my degree. Please assist. Thanks

Well. I know I paid UNIBEN 2k to respond to the email verification from WES, while UNILAG did not take anything. I believe the school has their price. (Do they know what to do?) maybe you need to find out exactly if they know what they are to do.

I totally disagree with you bro. Its is very possible for them to call sponsor after passport request. Infact I know two cases where sponsors were called and bank also contacted applicants about their banking documents. All this is happening after passport has been requested and submitted. I spoke to the VFS manager in Abuja and he said that over 60% of applicants are using fake documents, so CIC is verifying every document submitted especially banking statements. And when the sponsor doesn't bear the same surname as applicant or when there is no proper documentation showing a relationship between applicant and sponsor. E.g Mr Olalekan sponsoring Mr Chukwudi. At times bankers are paid to print bank statements of someone with millions without the persons notice, that's why they call. He also pointed out that CIC check social media accounts (LinkedIn and Facebook). I have a case of an applicant where his documentation showed he was part of directors of a company while his LinkedIn showed he was just a staff. CIC have smartened up. They are getting every single thing now. Even after passport request, they still review. At point of entry they can still cancel your visa and send you back. Please if you plan to change DLI, do that after you have gotten to Canada or notify them 30days before your intended date of travel via your mycic account. I am speaking from experiences I have had. People involved. Peace

To a very large extent you are you a right but I am just curious like you said and what your statement means is that background check is always on till they request for and after request for passport??

The way some agents or relative treat applicants during visa process as if they are thin God is part of my assumptions to what contributed to some reactions.

So many pple have stories to tell but then, we should be careful of the pressure anybody want to give you during the tension period of waiting for approvals.

I will only advice people to tidy up their applications, do the needful, avoid agent at all cost, ask questions on this forum and do more research like I just learnt something from you too.

I appreciate your response on this forum.

You're very right. How can they deny a person with over 70m in his personal account and properties worth over 300m in like 3 states in Nigeria.

Will he leave his business and opt at living in Canada for life?

I had a degree in Mass Communication in '08, with over 5 years of experience as an HR/Admin personnel.
Basically, my knowledge in my present field was gotten from on-the-job training, hence I intend to undergo a 2 year Diploma in Business Administration from one of the Canadian Colleges since I had no formal certification of HR/Admin profession.

In my previous Study Application, my employer stood in as my sponsor and every doc needed to buttress the claim was submitted:

Company Statement of Account
CAC
TIN Cert.
Study Leave
Affidavit of Sponsorship
Award of Study Assistantship letter
Letter of Recommendation

Other doc submitted includes:

Tuition deposit receipt
Personal Statement of Account reflecting a transfer of 2M made by my Employer, from the Company's Acct I submitted

There is a particular VO in Kenya that derives joy in refusing application. Check his/her ID CODE on GCMS notes, u will identify him.
His style of CAIPS notes is
"PA has prior travel and good home ties which are positive factors but I will attach little weight to this positive factors. The PA study plan is vague and poorly documented and not a reasonable expense. Based on this, the PA will not return after his study in Canada. On this reason, I am refusing this Study Permit.

You will find this notes in his notes whereas the practice direction and the manual for Canadian Visa Officers emphasize that once an applicant has a substantial positive factors, the VO needs no further proof of the likelihood of the applicant returning back to his/her home country.
Many of the VO decisions against Nigerians cannot stand the legal scrutiny of judicial review. It is just that it is a bit expensive.

Important but not compulsory. So many people have gotten their TRV without it, if you apply without it and CIC needs it they will ask you to go get it while your app is been processed
