Why Sowore Should Tender An Unreserved Apology by netpro(m): 5:16pm On Aug 04, 2019
After President Buhari completed his first tenure as President of Nigeria, the 2019 General Election was a legal and legitimate time for Nigerians to decide whether to retain Muhammadu Buhari as President or replace him.

Mr. Omoyele Sowore like everyone else who believed they will do a better job as President joined the race, campaigned and shared their leadership ideas to the electorates. Nigerians considered it all and voted to retain the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari for another 4 years.

It is therefore unacceptable that a candidate like Sowore who lost heavily, couldn't even win a single State in Nigeria, will now resort to disguise as self help for a 2023 game plan when the new administration is yet to fully take off.

Mr. Omoyele Sowore must tender an unreserved apology to Nigerians for the following reasons:

1. He contested for President and lost, being a sore loser is pathetic. And starting a 2023 campaign now is unnecessary.

2. His call for REVOLUTION to kick out a duly elected President is a criminal offence.

3. The decision of millions of Nigerians who voted to reelect Muhammadu Buhari as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria far outweighs his self ambition.

4. His call for an uprising is a security threat, will disrupt public peace, bring anarchy, endanger lives and properties.

5. If Sowore has any thing meaningful to say, he could have posted it on his blog - SaharaReporters.

6. Sowore wants to light a match and lite a fire in Nigeria just to watch and see how much damage it can cause.

After tendering the apology, Sowore should endeavour and refund the over 150 million naira he ripped off his election supporters.

Sowore will be better off opening a Foundation or an Organisation.

- Offer free specialised trainings.
- Empower youths equipment for various business.
- Organized and empower new startup.
- Start enlightenment programmes of topical issues.
- Support the needy and the less privileged.
- Offer free medical, economic and educational services.

Do these consistently and vigorously for 4yrs, he will be at the forefront in 2023.

Disruption of public peace and safety is an ill-conceived strategy.

he should tender an apology

Op if tomorrow 52 persons were killed again or maybe a pre-nursery school of bus with little kids was hijacked & kidnapped by herdsmen.. what stupid post will you write as you sit there all being a coward ?
what has your article writing really done for the common man in the street ?
& when a man comes with a plan & action because he knows what the majority of lower class are going through.. you will still sit there to mock him & when another person dies via insurgency or depression all you will say is "Rip"

if you can't step up as a human being to oppose this incompetent government pls just shut up.
we know solutions to our problems but fail to act..the government in its clueless & self denial will keep taking our lives for granted.

if Sowore is to tend an apology (obviously to the government) & not to the majority of people who want change in the country.. I suggest you also write to buhari to resign since he & his administration has failed to secure lives & property.

Sowore is not proffering any solution to the challenges facing Nigeria. Rather he is pouring fuel to the flame.

If Sowore, Atiku or anyone else has a solution, they can do a press conference or post it online - this problem, here is my xyz ideas for a solution. If the idea is good enough, the public will support it and the government can include it in their plan.

President Buhari has been reelected for the next 4yrs, that is a done deal.

Any attempt to undermine the will of the people or disrupt public peace is unacceptable.

Sowore contested and lost, he cannot enter Aso Rock through the back door.

So anyone whose opinion has not been implemented should call for anarchy?

State Police is not being promoted as efficiency of the police. Most of its current proponents simply want their very own small "army" they can arm and command locally.

Restructuring is promoted by politicians who want to enclose their regions from others and by others who want to break away. For such folks, only when One Nigeria is not on the table will they accept.

For you that is what you want us to priorities - how to bunker Nigeria and enthrone regional warlords.

with yours assumptions that are only but excuses my good man..things should remain the way it is abi ?

Nigeria isn't USA..we are not only religiously & ethnically divided.. but geopolitically..divided.. there might be fears of the the two solutions but its benefits outnumber the risks than what is obtainable now.
a lot of decisions whether personally or sociopolitically has its risks..its obvious the one we find ourselves in is getting worst yearly why not try the other rather than allow the fear of what might be/the unknown be the high wall that will trap us to being engulfed by what is presently destroying us.

by mere perception its obvious you are a conservatist ..so change is your fear.. you rather choose we adapt to what is going on the country & the failed system without not giving a care for progress & wisdom

Sowore is free to go on any TV station or news media to have his voice heard by millions of Nigerians, but revolution means overthrowing a legitimate government.

In democratic settings, the best place to have your voices heard is at the polls and via ballot boxes, not through destruction, disruptions, or forcibly removing the government majority of Nigerians voted for and put in office,

The minority can not remove or take away the will and wishes of the majority.

Go back to the polls to register your voice if you truly believe in democracy.

then go out there and do something to make it work
Mandela did, Roosevelt did, Lincoln did.. & a host of others that said no the deplorable status quo of their societies.

Why is he unlawfully being arrested, if democracy is still essential within this rule. It's a peaceful protest, I actually believe the majority would stand with him. Most of the easterners would, southerns would, few westerners and northerns, that's the majority.

The protest hasn't being held, and there they are carrying out unlawful arrest within the middle of the night, Buhari is a demon and a tyrant. I'm stepping out 2moro.

& if said democracy is abused like our president is doing today with the undermining of the judiciary & stubbornness to release zakzaky & dasuki who are still in detention, or the elections having numerous flaws & evident foul plays or the system is certainly at a disadvantaged to many minority parties & ethnicities, & its the sitting president that's appoints the Inec chairman (both from the same religion & ethnicity)
how can a zealous person/group have a chance to make Nigeria better .

Any arrest based on incitement, violent disruption and removal of any legitimate and democratically installed government is pretty much a legal and lawful arrest.

According to Soworo, he is staging a revolution which is a violent removal of the government, not a peaceful protest or whatever you people trying to hide under, you are not Sowore sto stop speaking for him or twisting what he's trying to do. We heard him, we know what he's talking about and he's on video and audio shouting revolution we've seen his posters and revolution paraphernalia.

PMB went to the polls to secure his 2nd term in office via the ballot box, this is a democracy, but tyranny is having your way through violent revolution and illegal removal of a democratically installed government.

You people are either too young or just uneducated to know the meaning and implications of what you are agitating for, it comes with serious consequences.
