Governors of Nigeria’s South-East states have said that they know nothing about the Army’s Operation Python Dance in the region.

The military campaign, which was used to clampdown on the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra and eventually led to its proscription by the government, led to the deaths of many members of the group headed by Nnamdi Kanu.

As a result of the incident, IPOB vowed to attack all top ranking government officials including South-East politicians suspected to have supported the military exercise that stifled their activities in the region.

Speaking with journalist after a meeting of stakeholders from the South-East, Ebonyi State governor, David Umahi, explained that he and his colleagues never invited the military to the region for Operation Python Dance.

He said, “South-East governors never invited the Army nor were South-East governors informed of any of their operations on Python Dance until the operations started in the states.

“South-East governors would like to write to Mr President to request for a meeting with him and all the security chiefs to douse tension in the region.”

Recall that members of IPOB had attacked former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, in Nuremburg, Germany, on August 17 during an event to celebrate New Yam Festival.

The organisation went further to say that it would continue to attack politicians from the region suspected to be against its activities.

The threat by the group has since sent shivers down the spines of politicians from the region with many allegedly cancelling overseas trips for fear of being humiliated by IPOB members.

You see why its good for things to be done in a civilized manner??

Politicians in Nigeria have so much succeeded in messing up the country and pitching one against the other for their selfish interests.. But now that one of them have experienced first hand how civil protests are handled by security forces in a civilized environment, others are taking stock gradually.

Even Ekweremadu seem not to have learnt anything by foolishly running back home to organize kangaroo protests and paid solidarity walks in Enugu State.

Had it been in Nigeria, the ekweremadu incident would have seen even passerby's locked up in police cells for not less than 6months..that is how useless the political class has rendered elements of state.

Let them continue their meetings and issuing statements. As for me, I'm a million % in support of distributing the Ekweremadu treatment to all politicians from the S.E who step foot outside the shores of Nigeria.

Let them stay here and remedy the mess they've put the SE in.
Its really heartbreaking to see companies and infrastructure built by the late Sam Mbakwe abandoned to decay all over Imo and Abia states.
Enyimba hotels at waterside Aba has been abandoned but almost all these politicians have their own hotels fully functional and someone says they don't need brain resetting beating.

Yes indeed, the fear of international beatings is resetting your brains.

You people claimed you never invited "PYTHON DANCE" to south east but what did you people do to at least avoid the senseless killings of unarmed civillians?? Nothing simply because of your stupid political ambitions.

Right under your noses, your people were massacred like chickens unjustly and proscribed terrorist when they are only protesting, and you all sat comfortably and watched, because your own kids were not shot.

Did the south east governors forum issue any statement then to exonerate it's self from the killings of unarmed protesters??

Did they even request a meeting with Mr. President on how best to tackle this issue without necessarily killing unarmed civillians??

Have they made any effort as regards the proscription of IPOB??

The answer to the above questions is No.

I guess now they also have seen their foolishness considering the fact that herdsmen which is the fourth deadliest killer group is yet to be proscribed.

Thank God for the Ekweremadu treatment as it has speedily reset the brains of the foolish governors.

More international beatings on the way.

The fear of IPOB has become real for these guys.

I had always said that the whole buhari and Japan thing was a stunt to send shivers down the spine of other politicians who would not have any form of security when they travel abroad.

IPOB always knew they would not be able to get close to buhari but they had to make the noise so that politicians would know they are out for them.

Now these guys are scared not only for themselves but for their wives and kids "safely" kept abroad.
