I did it twice while some persons did for more than 3 times

But you have to work harder next time

Reduce your presence online and focus on your books. If you continue to take JAMB and fail it, you are losing time...unless you have an alternative to higher education like doing business, sports, music, etc.

How i so wish she knew education is not a prerequisite for success in this age. I've seen alot of graduates out there with first class earning peanuts in private schools. The government has no plan for graduates in this Hell-hole. Your skill set would go a long way in moulding you up in this country also in this age and not education, I repeat not education. Education would only broaden your horizon so as to have say in the society. If you're boxed up financially, you'd have say too okay. Say No Suicide!

I registered for Jamb in the year 2001, seeking admission into one of Nigeria university. I prepared well for this exam, attended many lessons and tutorials to pass gallantly.

I have had all my waec subjects d previous years with 4 As. I remembered my teachers in our lesson always telling others to emulate me and come close to me for explanations anywhere they have difficulties in these subjects vis a vis physics, chemistry and Biology. I was really on fire then. lol.

Gradually the examination day came, I took my bath, ate, and I was ready to go to my centre. I then proceeded to take my photo card where I securely kept it inside a well secure file, because we will use it as a passport to sit for the exam and identification too. Alas, my photo card was nowhere to be found. I ransacked the whole house, I could not find it. I cried, I prayed, all these could not produced my photo card.

I went to the examination centre to tell d supervisor if they will considered me and allow me write the exam, but I met d opposite,I was chased out of the examination hall. I almost ran mad that day, a lot of thought was coming to my mind to commit suicide.

Thank God for my mum of her blessed memory who consoled me despite labouring to find the exam money for me. She kept her eyes on me throughout that week, she gave me pounded yam and encouraged me to keep pressing on.

She went the following week to obtain Lautech predegree form for me. Then, I have not heard about Lautech. She was my pillar and saving angel who prevented me from doing the unthinkable. RIP mummy

Y kill yourself because of Jamb. Na wa o. I wrote jamb 6 times before i got admission and now i am a graduate. There is no point giving up, keep trying. For those who failed jamb pls dont give up, u will definitely pass one day.

Why should you kill yourself over jamb result? What made you think even after graduation with 1 class you will get a job pay of 20k?

Ignorance is not an excuse

Allah the Almighty says,
And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right. This has He instructed you that you may use reason [Qur`an 6: 151],
and,
And do not kill yourselves [or one another]. Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful [Qur`an 4: 29].

Thabit Ibn Al-Dahak narrated that the Prophet [peace and blessings be upon him] said, “Whosoever kills himself with anything in this world will be tortured with it on the Day of Judgment.”

Definition of suicide
It is the act of killing oneself [intentionally].
The ruling on suicide
Suicide is prohibited in Islamic law according to evidence from the Qur`an, Sunna, and the consensus of Muslim scholars. A person who commits suicide commits a major sin, though this does not take him outside of Islam.
Washing, shrouding, and praying over a person who commits suicide
It is considered a fard kifaya [communal duty] upon Muslims to wash and shroud a person who commits suicide as well as to bury him in a Muslim cemetery. This is because he is a Muslim and is subject to the general rulings that apply to deceased

Active suicide: This means taking active steps to carry out a suicide. Examples include [among others], using a sword, spear, rifle, poison to kill oneself, jumping from great heights, throwing oneself in fire, and drowning.
Passive suicide: This means refraining from making an effort to stay alive. Examples include abstaining from food and drink, neglecting a treatable wound, staying motionless in water or fire, not trying to escape from an animal when one has the capacity to do so.
The ruling on committing suicide to avoid evil
It is impermissible to commit suicide to avoid evils such as rape and torture for instance. It is impermissible for a girl to commit suicide for fear of rape; she must defend herself against her attacker even if this means killing him. If she is killed in the process, she is considered a martyr because she died to defend her honor. The same applies to those who face humiliation and torture. They should resist their assailants and it is impermissible for them to commit suicide under the pretext that it is more honorable to kill themselves than to accept captivity and torture.

A Muslim is obligated to exercise patience at times of affliction and fight injustice to the best of his ability. He is not commanded to commit suicide to escape afflictions.
May Allah forgives her and us all.

we are just raising a spoilt generation of cowards who just think life should be easy, our fake celebrities are part of the problem with their useless show off on the red carpet claiming successes that does not truly exist.

Symptoms of failure in parenting. Because of hustling for money, we end up nurturing weakling. For the past ICAN three diet, I have been battling with only SFM. To make it more painful, I pay for it out money I don't have and end up eating cassava flakes for many weeks just to achieve one thing. Yet ICAN will return it to me and I am yet to even dwell over my failure for 48hrs at a go. May God help children of nowadays.

whyyyy....why.. whyy?? I wrote jamb like 4times, I even got an admission but after a year in sch we were asked to go. I started another school, yes I was depressed, yes I felt like my life has ended yes I even hated my life. but see me today.. after more than 20years. it all got better. I now have new struggles everyday.

All these senseless and unnecessary pressure from peers and family members have caused the death of this young and promising lady!

Most people in this part of the world always believe 'failure is not an option'!

Simple because you fail jamb you commit suicide,how about us that we don’t need to fill jamb form,our name is already in the system when ever we want to reapply,someone need to hear this school is not the end of your problem,there is still looking for job problem and and trying to live in Nigeria problem,if you fail,try is again and again and again,I have failed several times,but when ever I listen to others own I know my own small.
