Oga leave this noise. The people in the know how have acted accordingly and you are here talking. Firstly, the FG acted wisely and maturely unlike the unrefined Wike. It doesn't take FG anything to remove Wike or render him powerless through a state of emergency due to security issues, if by any chance there is Intel that he is sponsoring militants. The highest thing is people will make noise online for two days and it will be over, yet government will do what it wants.
you can just wake up and declare a state of emergency?

why did he not do that when militants almost shutdown the economy in 2016?

I just only pity the gullible supporters supporting him even when he goes wrong.

Now they would start twisting their tongues for next story.

God bless Nigeria.!!!

He who fights and run away, lives to fight another day.
Wike has sent a message, and anybody entering his state will do well to inform him to avoid any form of embarrassment.
Sometimes when u can't fight a much bigger opponent, u make noises d loudest and those around will be begging u to calm down.
Once u heed that advice of staying calm, even Ur opponent can't tell of Ur capabilities and he will always respect u.
Wike is wise.
Abi he who fights and runaway, na cowardice dey worry am.

There's nothing wise there, if he was wise in the first place he wouldn't start such a needless fight, is Rivers state the least affected oil producing state in Nigeria? Did other governors needed to apply this agbero style of engagement before they could curb the virus? This act shows he acts before thinking which is very bad for a person who's the leader of a whole state.

The Governor should cool down. The way he spoke some days ago about 'fghting' federal might was not the way to go about it.

This capitulation shows that, at last, he has started applying some wisdom.

That is what he needs all along.

No, you cannot just stand up and do it. He didn't declare it because by all reasonable standard, there were better alternative and the situation was not uncontrollable. But let me ask you, if you are a president and a state governor declare war on your nation through sponsoring criminals to attack key personnel and national assets, what will you do? Remember, the argument was hinged on Wike sponsoring militants and creating a security situation for the government.

Whether we like it or not rivers state government is only government that has successfully tackles this corona virus due to it's promptly strict preventive measures. Unlike other states that allow their people to contract, treat, discharge or they died. The best way to fight this novel diseases so far according to ongoing research and available data is preventive measures. Financial gains do not equates life.

His intensions were not good, the police intercepted these guys at the border of Rivers state if his intentions were good he would have sent them back but he allowed them into his state. What if they were truly positive its an increase in Rivers state count and potential transmission of the virus. Politicians play on our emotions to achieve their aims.

Dakad:
In as much I'm in support of most of the decisions by our able governor Wike to ensure the spread of the COVID-19 is prevented, however, I'm not in support of his approach. Some things are better handle maturely rather than using these unprofessional approach.

In all honesty, he has good intentions and to an extent, he is making remarkable progress. He only need to come to term that this isn't campaign time and all hands must be on deck to curb this menace. Oil and gas industry is a very sensitive sector as that's the only thing keeping our economy at the moment. Also this aspect of taking the fight so personal, isn't helping at all.

I leave and do business in PH and I can say categorically that his intentions are perfect and working to an extent but he needs to refine his approach. We are not in banana republic. Most times, he government gives contacting information. He makes some announcements before consultation and that's not helping in this fight. Last week because of the pressure from some religious leaders, he lifted the restriction. The decision thereafter, showed he never consulted wide.

Overall, even though I'm not his fan but he has tried so far except the fact that he needs to refine his approach

The FG will lose of course in revenues but that's when they will turn the heat on Wike and I can bet you, he won't survive. On the long run the state may pay for those loses by having its allocation deducted at source. The chain reaction will have the gov holding the shorter end (if any) of the stick.

It's all about tact and diplomacy.
