This technology existed more than 8 years ago on a Samsung phone, the Samsung Galaxy Beam. It was commercially launched but the series was later discontinued

That was done more than six years ago but probably didn't sell very well and was slightly bulky so production ceased

Them no know. Y9 2019 I am using, bought since Jan 2019. Best phone with value for money. Better than the Samsung I used earlier.
Got y7p for daughter early this month too. Fantastic phone!

There are No Google Play Services on this device. No Play Store, No Gmail, Assistant..etc. It's good for the Chinese market but for those heavily dependent on the GMS, I would steer clear of Huawei devices until they solve their issues and bring back GMS.

Modified - The Y7p can sideload GMS. Their high-end series like the Mate 30 series and P40 Series don't have Play Services. You're good to go as long as you're on the budget end of Huawei and Honor smartphones...I guess.

Says who? I use Huawei Nova3i and I can say categorically that Huawei issa wonderful brand; it uses Google Play Services and the others you mentioned.

I'll buy Huawei products over and over again!!!
