Nigeria is a football nation, which means, all the best athletes aspire to be footballers. Those who fail to make it as footballers typically go into other sports. That's why you'll find a plethora of Yoruba sportsman in other sports, as they aren't very good at football. |

But Igbos are naturally conservative in personality (I don't want to say boring). Sorry but when it comes to SWAG, Yorubas na BABA Yoruba culture is too strong abeg. Go to Brazil, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, Cuba etc; and see the swagerlicious effect of Yoruba culture. Igbos cannot measure up. Its not an insult. Its just the reality on ground. One thing I will give Igbos is Nwankwo Kanu : the 2nd most beautiful football artist this world ever produced. The first is Socrates (the Brazilian legend). I was sad when Igbos were falling over themselves to 'worship' Thierry Henry when he came to Lagos. They were calling him Igwe. Respect that they never showed to Papillo. Thierry is just a goal scoring machine. Kanu is a true football artist. 5 Likes 1 Share |

rdokoye: Rashidi Yekini's goal record for 9ja is YET to be broken. In fact you have to beat Obafemi Martins goal record first before you touch Yekini. Igbos have produced just 2 great players: Kanu and Okocha. The rest is just QUANTITY. Walahi. 6 Likes |
