If it were to be in Nigeria, that car would have somehow found its way to Ladipo market.

It can never happen in Nigeria

It happens in Nigeria also, once in a while, just like this example from Zimbabwe.

The police are our problem here, take it or leave it. Never compare the discipline in their police with that of naija

No country achieved growth without doing something bad .. except the few small country with large resources ...it's a matter of time they would soon drop too

You are a major part of the problem.

Honestly, good still abounds in Nigeria.
Same could happen in Naija if the Jack is well employed.
Someone like me can do so too, cos on many occasions I had worked for a security company in Events Car park
We took car keys, park em well and keep the keys till the owner returns.

I'm a proud car owner too.

I once had a similar experience in Kenya. Unlike you, I was worried that my bag will be stolen but I met it in my hotel room. Unopened!
That day I wanted to throw my Nigerian passport away!

Here people will blame the government for everything. The Zimbabwe government is as bad as ours but people are still doing the right things there. Thanks so much for this post.

Nigerians will blame the govt for their bad behavior but relocate to Dubai and still keep doing bad

Good and bad is not a question of Nationality but of personality. You just met a Good person in Zimbabwe, that doesn't necessarily imply that everyone in Zimbabwe is perfect. The same goes for Nigerians, we're not all bad, and they're places in Nigeria too where policemen Don't hold guns but battons. I guess the problem is that we keep mute about the good things in Nigeria, and its Good people, and only tell stories of the bad. That's what we should change!

Like I do always say, government is not the problem of Nigeria, but individuals. There's no excuse to be a thief, a thief is a thief. I've seen a lot of situations where Nigerians scam each others, is the government also responsible for that also. Nigerians just have bad mentality, all we could think of is getting joy by making others cry.

Don't say "government is not the problem of Nigeria". U should have said "government is not the only problem of Nigeria".

The Nigerian citizens are the ones that are corrupt because it is this corrupt attitude they take into governance. Nigerians are highly corrupt. Even some that are claiming to be legit business boys and girls here in Nairaland are very dangerous. No honesty and truthfulness in present day Nigeria anymore
