Sigh.... This is just mischief on the part of the Op and whoever pushed this to Front Page!!!... You just felt the need to annoy people, and bring about ridicule on the already longsuffering church!!!

I find such posts quite reprehensible!!!

Which of them shouldn't have been on the list?

All of you saying negative things here are ass holes.... When was the last time you saw any Muslim create a thread and cast their imams in bad light even as we all know that both pastors and imams are all for the moneyy unlike what we have those days of the missionaries ...

But they would never do such, we keep casting the image of these men in bad light and when the clueless government comes after the church and reduces the church to nothing, we all would come here to complain that the government is indirectly practicing communism etc.

If the church fails because of many of us and few bad fake men of God, we would all fail.

The church and Christianity are one of the pillars holding this country together.

Continue with your hypocrisy and invoke the wrath of God on yourself.

This is getting out of hands.

Muslim don't castigate their imams because imams stick to their original recommendation of Mohamed when it comes to issue of giving...Our own men of God/Pastors diverted from the true teaching of Christ....

The thing is that they will mount the pulpit and tell their members that poverty is a virtue with several motivational speeches but would not come down to the level of their members

And all the militants that have jet

hmmmmm

ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU A former governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, he purchased a second jet around May 2014. Reportedly a brand-new Bombadier Global Express XRS valued at $50 million (N10 billion), it is believed the jet was extensively used during the 2015 presidential campaigns which later saw to the victory of Muhammadu Buhari.

Richest men on Earth?

Maybe you mean the richest church leaders on earth, because they're not even the richest men in their own states.

Luke 12:15

And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Matthew 6:19-21 (KJV)

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

What sense does your quotes made?

That men of God shouldn't enjoy money on earth or what?

For your info and to those castigating men of God, men of God are supposed be the richest on earth. Is a taboo for unbeliever to be richer than the men of God who created the heaven and earth. 2 Corinthian 8-9

I doubt op is a Christian. Even myself that doesn't believe everything bout pastors and men of God won't going bout judging them this way just for laughs, likes and front-page things.
respect people's beliefs. live and let's live. everyone has the right to their various beliefs. why talk bout some Bible believing people and intentionally cast them? it means u have no loyalty to your belief.
mind you, I like to be recognized as the enlightened one. I'm not a religious person and I respect every religion.

Kenneth Copeland said he bought private jets from church money because commercial flights harbour demons. Makes you wonder why a strong "man of God" is avoiding demons, shouldn't he go after these demons instead?

Jesse Duplantis, who at the time had 2 private jets already, said God wanted him to buy a better jet, why? because the new jet he'd buy can go to any airport in the world without needing to refuel.

The part of their excuse for owning fleets of jets is that it's used to "Spread the word of God" but this doesn't make sense in today's world as airline companies have been terribly hit by the explosion of the internet. in short airlines made money in the past because interacting with people halfway across the world required you to be there or send letters Which doesn't usually cut it. now you can open your WhatsApp and video chat with almost anyone, you can send a message and it's instantly delivered. This has made airlines lose money so you don't need a jet to spread the word.

At the end of the day, it's their money they got from gullible individuals who can't sit to reason beyond what the pastor says and try to reconcile it with what they do. A lord's chosen pastor tells you to buy his expensive reflective jackets and wear them for both spiritual and physical protection and you believe him even though he uses bodyguards

Oyedepo would preach faith healing to you but won't hesitate to fly his wife to world class hospital aboroad when she was sick

the bitter truth is that Religious belief is an invisible security blanket for insecure individuals.
Closeted minds will continue to allow brainwashing and indoctrination by religious leaders that there is a 'god', and there was a 'jesus', in order that the people with closed minds allow themselves to be controlled so that the various Corporations (churches) remain profitable as the tax-free money continues to roll in. people center their lives around a fairy-tale. All that time, energy and money centered on a lie. For some it's a business, for others it is the central cause of division within their family. Religion sucks. All of them.
you made sense but ended woefully. You cannot disparage the belief in Christ that has stood over 3000 years by the actions of people he clearly warned us in Matthew 23 vs 4

What about this

ORJI UZOR KALU A billionaire and one of the few Nigerians on Forbes list, he is the former governor of Abia State and chairman of the conglomerate, Slok Group. Kalu tops the chart of private jet owners in Nigeria – he has five, the largest private jet fleet in Nigeria, and in the early hours of Thursday, 18 th September 2014, his fifth jet, a Gulfstream G650, made its maiden entry into the Nigerian airspace after it touched down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos. The following are Kalu’s jets: GULFSTREAM G650: He reportedly bought this for $72 million (N11.5 billion) making it most probably the most expensive jet in Nigeria. Even the French-made Falcon 7X of the Presidential Air Fleet bought by President Goodluck Jonathan does not come close – that cost just $50 million or N10 billion. GULFSTREAM IV (he has/had three of this). BOMBARDIER’S GLOBAL EXP XRS.

You pay your taxes, by fire, by force, and your leaders spend it on themselves, rather than on infrastructural development.
These religious leaders don't force people to give money, at least, not physical force.
Why the insult?
Some of you, your local government chairman has so much money stashed to buy a jet if he/she decides to. That's the extent of the corruption. Yet you don't protest, you don't demand better governance. But once you hear "pastor" your blood begins to boil.
To whom did you pay your taxes to?

This your comment reeks of extreme ignorance. If you know the number of people some churches are supporting you won't be saying this rubbish. All some of you know how to do very well is to bad-mouth churches. Government that is collecting endless compulsory taxes from us, we get scared to talk about them, but when it's church matter all of us go balance, carry am for head like person wey dey sell gala.
You may not have felt the economic impart of a church in your life, that is if you belong to one, but there people feeling it and they're thankful for it. Stop bad-mouthing churches because there's no gain in it.

What will you do to the Nigeria presidents, now that Nigeria is the world heatquarter of poverty? Or is it the pastors that caused it? Where is the tax you're paying? Pastors are carrying that too?
Direct your frustration to your politicians. Are Nigerians, probably, including you eating the 3 sq meal conveniently? Answer in your mind.
