ECOWAS member countries are afraid of their own militaries taking a cue from the Malians. It's simply self-preservation.

Who says democracy isn't working?

There will be no internet if the Nigerian military was still in charge. And you will never be able to change the government. In 2023, Buhari would leave. In a military regime, you can't say so.

angry 3 year military rule? You think the World is stupid. That's how maradona dribbled Nigerians. No one should ever trust khaki boys, they're dubious
I tell you. The Ecowas force will send them packing. Thunder fire them. Stupid people. They want to begin a chain of instability and wars in Africa with the help of demonic France. The prosperity of demonic France boomed when Africa flowed with blood.

If military rule will make things work for them, I am totally in support of it. If democratic rule will not work, I'd kick against it. It's high time we stopped copying the Western world and do something that will work well for us by charting a new course in our continent and country's own growth part. Democracy isn't working for most W. African countries truth be told.

Kids all over the place. Talk to the elders before spewing your ignorance. Ask those who have experienced the "glory" of a millitary regime. It has never worked anywhere.

Rarely do you see independent thinkers in Africa especially Nigeria.

An educated Nigerian is simply someone who is capable of vomiting what s/he has been fed. S/he is bereft of unique ideas.

you dey mind them. as advanced as european countries are with millennium years of functional governance spanning from monarchy to democracy and military dictatorships- less than 60 years ago here Spain and France were ruled by military dictatorships - then na African country wey never reach 100 years of statehood you want to force democracy down their throats?

if you ask me - 90% of African countries are not ripe for democracy- for democracy to flourish- there must be a standard bar of enlightenment and tolerance of all political actors (the politicians and the electorates) and in Africa; especially in Nigeria, that bar is almost non-existent!

Ignorance at its peak. That you able to voice your opinion is bigger than all those things you enumerated.
Mind you during those period you listed several neighbouring countries with Civilian governments and little foreign exchange earnings did better than Nigeria. You definitely are too young to know the amount of money that was embezzled by succesive millitary governments in Nigeria to impunity. The Abacha loot is bigger than the GDP of some countries.

For those kids quoting me, let it be know today that all the mega projects and infrastructure Nigeria have was executed in the military regimes.

Your civilisation and democracy did nothing in Nigeria apart from empowering their friends and family.

How old are you? I bet you are a millennial - those born from 2000 upwards. What do you know about Nigeria and military rule? Who told you it was military rule that built all our infrastructures? How many infrastructures can you point that the military did despite the oil boom? As a matter of fact, the military made Nigeria worst than they met it.

Only Shagari’s 4 years in power dwarf all what the military could muster for good 35 years. May curse be upon any clown that wishes Nigeria doom with military rule.

We also tried civilian rule, not working

Nothing would work because we are greedy, corrupt and irrational people.

We don't believe in logic rather conspiracy theories.

We don't believe in science rather fight for religions that were enforced on us.

We don't believe in sustainability hence the unbridled need to acquire everything.

Africa would never change until logic, science and love becomes the guiding principle upon which every set of action is taken.

NIGERIA COULD WITNESS A MILITARY COUP D'ETAT if the civilian administration do not sit up and fix the country.

The only way African politician can keep the military out of power is to continue to improve on good governance.

At the moment country like Nigeria is sliding down economically and standard of governance is retrogressing.

Politicians are just fighting for their pocket.

See the way legislators are fighting the Minister of State For Labour over government jobs not minding that the jobs has a take home pay of N20,000.00

THEM NO GET SHAME !

You know nothing. If you're looking for the sponsors of instability in Africa, check France. Those guys can never survive without stealing from Africa.
China will never support military rule in Africa, why? They’ve invested economically, financially and infrastructural to the growth of peace and prosperity in Africa. Watch as the Chinese will help the Ecowas force push those clowns out of there. I see Nigeria leading the onslaught there. Mark this comment.

3yrs is too much. A year is enough.
Besides, Keita Should not be reinstated as ECOWAS ask. Since people are happy with the coup, let it be like that.

A year is enough though
