Dont mind them. Ordinary shekau, they couldn't kill. Wadume was rescued by these same people , while they killed the police who went to arrest him despite identifying themselves to the military. The war is between Muslim jihadist and Christians in Nigeria. There's nothing like herdsmen anywhere. Ortom's aides and local govt chairmen were among those leading the guys to ortom to surrender their weapons and embrace peace. I was wondering why military omitted them from the list just to score a cheap goal. Yes he may have killed many people and Im sure that relatives of his victims will be happy that he has been killed. However, his extra-judicial killing by the military will only make things worse.

He has already surrendered, gave up his arms and presented himself to the authorities. For the Army to grab him and kill him shows that the Nigerian Army are unprofessional, lawless armed thugs. This will also send a message to other militants all over Nigeria that are considering giving up their evil ways to carry on since doing so may lead to their summary execution

Another thing this does is that whatever is left of Gana's men are going to likely seek revenge on the authorities for his unwarranted killing and this will lead to more unrest and more people being killed.
