I don't like the stamped concrete either, looks too colourful for my liking. prefer well finished concrete driveway and well manicured lawn on the Rest of the plot

I understand. The issue is that most of the folks here seemingly went tot he same school or for some reason the materials are not readily available here. These are some samples that I am still searching for someone to do.

Baba, when the need arises you’ll understand why interlocking bricks are far better than concrete floors.

It’s not just about pipes only but everything and anything else that might need to pass underground.

You can see I was quick to talk about having no wires fly around in my compound. What I didnt share is that I’ve been racking my brain on how to relocate a pump for years now all because I don’t want to break the concrete.

I just want to move the pump to my generator house. The options given aren’t ok with me so I’m currently living with it.

To the best of my knowledge it's all about being creative. It all gets down to how much one intends to spend in getting it done right.
The option I described if done in an orderly manner and with a pre-cast slab will serve its purpose and also serve as added design on the plot while the other section takes the stamped concrete.

All it takes is to make the plan(s) from the beginning on paper from the layout designs and follow accordingly.

The list of designs is endless. A not common design will mean the contractor will have to purchase the design mat or hire if possible to accomplish the work to be done.

I've been designing a particular landscape for the past one month, each problem I think would arise in the future, I look for a way to solve it in the design phase. As per ur relocation, installing this or something similar under ur hardscape during the construction phase would have prevented your current headache

I disagree with this definition. At least from an American perspective. A walk in closet has nothing to do with a toilet.

No. it is, we don't really separate toilet from bathroom over here, Baths are always attached with toilets, therefore, they go along with each other.
Our definitions and interpretation too could be slightly different.

Tbh, I did and I got almost 99% of the plan right but the pump part just missed me.

We used to have many sand/granites suppliers here but nowadays they have all dissapeared. I dont know if they are all out of business or just dont frequent NL anymore.
Recently I contacted one of them for a friend, and he told me has since gone out of business. So, I dont know o.
Thanks.

Hajji M.
]My Oga, the reason is simple, majority of them are not suppliers they are in here by some people here to stand against me, i have no monopoly of the forum & this forum remain no man property.

Many of them can not come back because they have one case or the other to answer. Fendorf & Smilely are doing fine but i wonder why they choose to back out, maybe due to some reason best known to them,

I can see your estate’s deed restriction. Just state clearly exactly what you want and the estate requirements and we can get you the Lagos Building you wanted. grin

Do well to share pics of the nicest structures in the estate. It helps too.

Or orherwise, link me up with any of the guys in your estate office. I know exactly what to ask them.

This story is getting too long bro!

Dear,,,,

I must commend you -

In Architect, EVEN IF and i repeat EVEN IF the president of NIA designs a flat (as small as that is) - a year 2 student of Architect would fault it and be justified..... THERE IS NO 1 SOLUTION; just a client brief and a design that best suits that....

However, your comments are constructive because you have attempted to solve any client concern that arises....

KUDOS

Thanks bro.

You become more valuable by adding value to more people.

Personal experience
If you don't have pipe running below I do like concrete floor
But if you have pipe below interlocking bricks is better
Concrete is more durable if compare to interlocking bricks
You have the grass growing out from interlocking bricks

I almost finished building my house. There are few questions remained, like choosing glass staircase to my living room. I've checked so many articles about building own house/design attributes and staircasedesign recommended some options to choose. I guess I would check some of their interesting reviews even more often.

If that's a joint. Introduce pillars to it. And possibly chain the exterior with 12mm reinforcement to avoid those cracks from reoccurring.

Will work with this suggestion. Thanks a lot.

In my opinion it’s the foundation/German floor.

The gap got increasingly wider towards the top.

And what might be the solution sir?

I'll prefer a solution but please listen to the engineers on here. I think it's settling. If it were me I would pull the wall down and rebuild it. But again please listen to the experts.
