Awol1: Good morning. You are a real Enugu person!! Only an 042 smart person like you will understand the nonsense happening here. I honestly don't have issues with Enugu leaders building stuffs in their home, but why relocate an existing system in the city to your town, why can't they conceive a new idea and develop it in their town. How many times are we going to relocate ESUT or ESUT related faculty. Every LGA in Enugu has a general hospital dead from abandonment, they should fix them starting with the ones in their home town. Build economy driving systems starting from anywhere they want, I don't care. Create a private sector driven portfolio supervised by any of the big audit firms to support youths in SMB and farming with free land allocation, they can start from their home town. Why do they keep moving existing institutions? This is just crap 3 Likes |

PortHarcourt2: This one fine, see another area of Nsukka, they don't have roads, school, healthcare facilities, they have virtually nothing in that jungle, no electricity. That's how backward Enugu state is.

Awol1: For your information, the project is not in Nsukka LGA. It is in Udenu and Igbo-Eze south LGAs. Each of these two LGAs is bigger than Ezeagu LGA. Map of Enugu state will be of great help to you. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Enuguplkln: If it is true, then Nsukka should be given more attention in terms of development. They need more infrastructure than any other part of the state, considering the fact that they even have over 60% of the population of Enugu state and bigger land mass as well. This is justifiable. 1 Like 1 Share |

Am a student in parklane and i support this change in location because there is no more space in the capital for hostel expansion and building of more faculties.. currently only medical students stay in the hostel because it only just three hostels which is not enough for all students making it hard for other students like med lab, Anatomy nd nursing to find accommodation. Also no lands to expand the faculties making the classroom not enough for students. Kudos to the governor. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Ugwuanyi Inspects Ongoing Projects At ESUT Teaching Hospital, Igbo-Eno by Amah70: 8:20am On Sep 18, 2020 |
Awol1: But that’s how it’s supposed to be if in the past everything was wrongly concentrated in state capital. In Imo state, they have refused to remove things that were wrongly located in the state capital because Imo politicians settle in state capital with their families. Enugu politicians get head to understand that other parts of Enugu state must have projects to induce development in them. 4 Likes 1 Share |

eginaP: I agree with you totally, the issue of relocating institution will continue to retrogress our progress as a State. Definitely any new elected governor will keep dragging it to his Local government unless we found a good leader that have a good vision of allocation. |

Amah70:You don't develop a state by moving existing institutions that have been on a location for years. Why not initiate new ideas, or is he that bereft of ideas? We are complaining that the man is doing nothing and even when decides to do any at all,it was to replicate an already existing institution in another town.. how do we reason in this country for goodness sake. Nigeria is the only place I've seen where rural and backward towns are developed with universities and schools. They will carry a university and site it in an undeveloped town with no roads,no internet,no water supply, poor power supply, terrible health care facilities, poor security, high cost of rent due to inadequate accommodations and overall horrible social amenities and begin to suffer the innocent students in the name of developing the town and spreading development. Look at the jungle where this buffon is going to build our state University! Why not use the money being wasted here and bring the infrastructure in these rural towns at par with the city standard and see if the so called development won't begin to trickle in. I don't know who turned our brains upside down in this part of the world. 2 Likes |
