This is what I want you to do. After you have set the LNB right and the MBC frequency still did not pop. Then I want you not to loose anything yet. Just pretend that your MBC LNB is your primary or priority, then connect your MBC LNB wire to your tracking device and track the MBC frequency first. Once it pops up. Reconnect the wires of other LNB one by one and test/ align for signal. That also does the trick 1 Like |

Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by adubam(m): 4:43pm On Oct 07, 2020 |
samhwande67: QSat G23 has a better video output. But Csat Pro 8 + output is not bad per se. |

goaldynboy: Well done bro. If you have the money please buy another dish to enjoy better reception. You can even get 90cm for N500 if you know any pantaker market as we call it here in the North. As for the LNBF even if you cut it open don't leave it without covering it with a nylon, because if water enters that is the end of the LNBF. 1 Like |

goaldynboy: Then you need to get an equivalent of 70% for your receiver, only then will the MBC TP pop up |

adubam: Even after several years of being obsolete (in the world of FTA things get obsolete too quickly),QSat boxes still have one if the best hardware out there. I think they just need to work on their software outside that;it's a very solid receiver. This is the same reason why 4669x wouldn't go away soon, most installers without satfinders still use it for tracking and street-to-house cable tv,very clear RF signal. I still use 4669x when tracking C-band,most satfinders out there have poor C-band reception 2 Likes |

nbolaji: I am going to make this simple for you. From a personal experience over the years. I have come to a resolve that buying a decoder that is embedded with premium = African movie Foreign movie News Music And probably sports ( even if not live football) That you pay little or nothing to watch, before you start thinking of adding other dishes or satellite position to watch other free to air station is the Way to go. Because in do so.. You don't have to worry if the stations will someday go off or totally get bored of not actually getting anything premium or reasonable to watch, for yourself or family members. Whenever you turn your TV on. As of today, only two decoders can actually give you that safety ( I stand to be corrected) So which are they you may ask? (1) Strong 497S (price for decoder, around 20k or above) has a guaranteed embedded premium stations for African movie, foreign movie, news, news. That you pay not more than 2k5 to 3k yearly ( depending on where / platform you are using to subscribe from) . Which is achievable with just one dish. After that you can still decide if you wish to add an extra dish or 3 more dishes or LNB to get whatever free stations is out there. ( MEANING IT CAN STILL BE USED FOR FTA ) it's H.265 compatible and it multisteam. (2) OURTV decoder ( company price 11900 naira but can not be more than 13k from outside source) It also has a guaranteed embedded premium channels for African movie, foreign movie, cartoon, news, music, sports ( though not live). All receivable with one dish. After that you can still add three more dishes or LNB ( MEANING IT CAN STILL BE USED FOR FTA) However there is no software for now to make it multi stream but it's H.265 compatible . However, there are still many decoders out there in the market that can be used to hunt for FTA stations but don't come embedded with premium station from factory. TSTV decoder has their own channels as well and can still serve for FTA purposes but I am not confident enough to add it to the list yet. Judging from history. So meditate on where your priorities lies, for in doing so, you will make a better choice on which decoder in the market suits your real needs. One love 5 Likes |

Spy360: Yes it does.. Depending on the strength of the satellite signal you're tracking. For example I have seen signal in 16e, 28e.36e 51e still firing on so badly rusted dishes. Just saying. |

waleayeni1: Hello, if you are installing Nigcomsat as primary on the dish, once you hit green on DSTV. change to the Nigcomsat frequency and move your dish down and to the right a little, while standing behind the dish. You should pay close attention to your signal bars. if you see a slight increase at any point, blindscan, not successful move the dish again when you see the slight signal increase. try it again. You can also skew you LNB in little increments, sometimes just 1-degree can make a big difference. 3 Likes |
