yes you can play music stored on your phone or sdcard.. try exploring the app a bit and you'll find it..besides this days streaming is the better option than hoarding a truck load of songs you don't listen to often...you stream what you feel like listening or make a playlist online..easy

And I used to okay my offline songs through the app

It separated my premium songs from my offline songs


I could listen to the both offline unlike apple Music which I'll have to stream

Just finally installed YouTube music. And yes, it doesn't load local music...totally.
I have 1000+ careful curated music and it didn't load any.
I trimmed it down to 20 or so and it loaded.

Well, I guess it's actually not worthwhile.
BlackPlayer has been my default and will remain to be so.
IMO, nothing really beats playing music locally especially if you make interstate movements or network is very inconsistent.

I rather use deezer to scream than YouTube music.

They should they should better bring back Google play music.

and why is that, is it because they don't allow people to listen to songs once they leave the app except on premium?

That is even better than deeper method of going through random sings before getting to the song you want to to listen to, that would on my make sense if you like most of the songs of an artist

I've tried most of the major music players and Spotify stands on top but since we in this region don't have access to it

YouTube music is the next in line to me

The reason why majority abroad use Spotify is because you can listen to songs outside the app and without skipping much like deezer which for some reason gives you 6skips per hour not that you'll end up getting to the song you want for free only that you'll experience ads

you can't play music on YouTube music when you're out of the app. You need to be in the ap before it plays or you purchase the premium version
