I have never heard of any administration in the world who is as callous as Buhari led administration. You stole all our resources, mortgage the future of the unborn Nigerians and now this?
Lol. You all will continue to cry as the despoilers do exactly what they know how to do best. After this, they will come even for the money in your pockets until they strip you of all your belongings.
Some people still think they have a country. Chai!

Only if FG would be transparent on how to spend the money.

Still better for FG to get the loan from the dormant accounts than allowing those crooked bankers to be using it anyhow.

This is exactly the same stupidity that made your likes campaign for a Buhari govt. 5000 for unemployed. TSA...BLABLABLA.

YOU'D PREFER THE GOVT TAKES A LOAN FROM DORMANT ACCOUNTS, WHICH WE KNOW THEY'LL SHARE AND LOOT, EITHER WAYS NO PLANS ON GETTING RETURNS ON THE LOAN COMPARED TO THE BANKS THAT WILL UTILIZE THE FUNDS, WHICH WILL GENERATE PROFITS, WHICH THEY WOULD USE TO PAY THEIR STAFFS, MAINTAIN EMPLOYMENT, AND STILL ENSURE THE MONEY ISN'T LOST. INTEREST IS RATHER GENERATED. Your likes prefer the govt takes those funds.. may o ask what happened to 360billion bail out funds? Not only did they loot it, there's nothing...nothing to show for it..Even salaries didn't get paid..

But I thought these people in government are educated people. What are they not being smart? How come banks will borrow FG monies from dormant account? What happens to these dormant accounts if the owners decide to reactivate the accounts?

An opportunity for banks to start informing family members where bread winners left money in unknown accounts

They used to keep quiet for legal reasons but also to chop the money

Now is the time to do the right thing

U can keep making deposits into the account every 6month or 1year even if na just 2k. Even if u don't withdraw, , it cant get DORMANT. Even banks take money from account that have money and not active for many years. I am talking with deep understanding of the banking system. So many dead people whose family are finding it hard to survive have unclaimed millions in banks which the banks claim after so many years of observing the account.
Nigeria Banks are just too wicked. They make it so hard and almost impossible for the families to claim dead peiple's money. I know 2 cases like that.

That's it. The banks are the ones against it. This is their fight cos they will lose more. Moreover since the govt only want to borrow, it shouldn't be a problem, the banks should only make them accountable.
It is just a matter between 2 thieves. It shouldnt concern the citizens.

oga, don't throw around baseless accusations on bankers, not all bankers are crooked.back to the topic, so it is this visionless, clueless government run by a president with a high level of ethnicity that is not crooked read and understand the fears expressed. by experts and you would understand why this borrowing from dormant accounts would end up being a disastrous policy.

We understand that their are rogues inside the bank using money in dormant account anyhow, it doesn't mean we trust Nigerian government either. They should leave peoples money alone ooo before we'll start hearing of people committing suicide because they've been frustrated in a bid to reclaim their own money by government run by wagon of borrow and share criminals.
