I have been to Windhoek and I have also lived in Surulere , Windhoek is a well planned city with central water and sewage systems which are both impossible in Lagos.

The comparison here was not with windhoek. The guy said that one of the roads in the pics looks like Bode Thomas and it's true.

The scuba and deep sea diving on the Lagos lagoon as well as the several private beaches is exquisite and I have travelled to many European, North American and African cities.

"Better than" or such absolute terms have no place when discussing beauty. Beauty is by its very nature subjective.

You are confusing state with city. Ikorodu is a town in Lagos state. Ikotun is part of Ojo town in Lagos state. Egbeda is part of Akowonjo a semi urban community in Lagos state and a suburban of Ikeja city.

Lagos city is a city in Lagos State and Yaba is part of it.

Yaba and Surulere are part of Lagos City and they are planned to some extent.

You are the real confusion.

Originally lagos mainland were ebute meta, surulere, yaba up to fadeyi. That with the 4 lagos islands made up the federal capital of nigeria.

what you need to come to terms with is

1 - the word Nigeria was not created by the people living in the geo-location called Nigeria.
2 - Nigeria consists of multiple ethnic nations which means ethnic nation A can be hateful of the progress ethnic nation B is making
3 - back to point 2, ethnic nation A and B are both called Nigerians but they have different goals and objectives.
