It is not an inverter AC but because of the low voltage technology in it due to the compressor type makes people say it's inverter. But it doesn't consume power at all.

1.5HP is very okay. As for the Brand, I'll advice you go for either Thermocool inverter or LG inverter. Avoid Hisense or Midea.

my LG 1hp dual inverter AC blows cold air for a few seconds then starts blowing warm air till i turn it off. Fouani says the board is bad and is quoting me 170k to fix it, has any one encountered something similar and solved it for less. The AC is 5yrs old and out of waranty.

Panel related problems. If you have funds, sell off, add funds and buy a new unit. N170k just for repairs makes no sense to me. If i were you, i wouldn't wanna take my chances in repairing especially for a unit I've used for that number of years. If you add funds to that 170k, you'll get a new unit or a relatively new one from relocation sales.

Yes, LG is very good. I'm using one and no issues whatsoever.

LG is a better Brand than Hisense. I cannot recommend the purchase of Hisense even for TV for anyone. LG has a name and even though Fouani happens to be the company selling both Brands, you cannot compared the quality of LG when compared to Hisense.

Go for the LG for TV. Picture quality on Hisense isn't like LG. LG is by far better and ignore whatsoever you were told by the sales rep. Many times, they try to rope you in because of their sales commission they may wanna get.

As for the AC, you either get LG or Thermocool but not Hisense.

No, they won't be but will last better than those Chinese brands. For instance, like midea, the way the components are arranged isn't like Samsung or Panasonic. The engineering is quite different especially in the area of the Panel.

The Chinese made of Panasonic will still have same technology as the ones manufactured in Malaysia or South Korea or even India. But quality of parts used in manufacturing will differ anyway. Again, price won't be same as those brands you mentioned from China.

1hp should do well in your mini flat apartment and again, will consume less power.

Non inverter ACs are good but will consume more power compared to the inverter ACs especially if you will be using on prepaid meter and voltage isn't so good in your environment as well as being cheaper.

LG is better than those Brands you listed.

It will work but quality won't be same like the one manufactured in Malaysia and Korea. Also, price won't be the same too.

Type of Brands = Your Budget. While also factoring the aspect of Quality, durability and reliability.

You won't go wrong with Panasonic, Daikin. But expensive. You can also go for LG but ensure you are purchasing from Fouani.

I won't recommend hisense. That was how i advised an inlaw of mine but he didn't listen and he's regretting today. For deep freezer, LG is the right brand and buy from Fouani. For AC, LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Daikin are brands i recommend all depends on your budget.

You can go for the 1.5hp inverter. And yes, your generator capacity will be sufficient to power it without any stress on it. There are other brands of inverter AC. If you can afford Daikin or Panasonic inverter, you can go for those. If you don't like LG, Samsung is another good brand.

Some ACs, we don't seem to find the original ones in the Nigerian market.

For instance, I went out with a client today to find Samsung ACs, we couldn't find Korean mades, only China models flood the market.

I think same with LG. We only see the China versions and not Korea.

Yes, that's another challenge. Same applies to Panasonic. The made in Malaysia ones aren't much out there but rather China. The China made is cheaper and I guess they are importing those to remain competitive in the market because the mentality of so many would be they can get similar ACs cheaper but they fail to look at the aspect of Quality and durability.

Just that Panasonic and Daikin are expensive for a lot of people. However, with the Chinese model of Panasonics, it might start getting difficult to be sure of buying the original Malaysia variant, IMHO

Yes, many result to settling for those unpopular brand names because of the price because the likes of Daikin, Panasonic, etc are pricey and not everyone will be able to afford it. Someone i know bought Midea and the difference is really clear in the aspect of Quality when compared to Panasonic of Daikin. Even LG beats it hands down in the aspect of quality.

Personally, i won't buy them and if i cannot afford Panasonic or Daikin, I'll buy LG which is cheaper and quality better than those unpopular brands they keep introducing to the market.

They may be good but i cannot vouch for their quality. Every brand new AC will work but the reliability, durability and sustainability are what we look out for.

What I noticed about type t-iv;

1. You can get the original that will last 100,000miles in Nigeria
2. Change it @ 15-20,000km
3. The prices varies from 11-N16,000 depending on the seller or location
4. Having used it for more than 3years, I still can't know the difference between real and fake

I made an enquiry recently and was told there's one for N40,000 and another for N17000. So i don't know why one is that expensive and the other fair in price. And again the difference between both of them.
