Education / NECO Postpones 2015 National Common Entrance Examination Till April 25 by solaugo(m): 9:15pm On Mar 19, 2015
The 2015 National Common Entrance Examinations into secondary schools scheduled for March 21 has been postponed till April 25.

Mr Abdul Mustapha, the Abuja Liaison Officer of the National Examination Council (NECO) disclosed this in an interview with NAN on Thursday in Abuja.

Mustapha said that postponement was necessitated by the anxieties of parents ahead of the general elections rescheduled to hold on March 28 and April 11.

According to him, registration for the examination will continue until April 18.

”The idea of postponement was brought by the ministry and after consultations with the council, we decided to shift it.

”There are some concerns as to whether parents will leave their children in schools with the uncertainties ahead of the elections.

” Mustapha said it would be better to write the exam in a relaxed atmosphere after the elections.

A parent, Mrs Bridget Emoha, said the postponement was a welcome development as parents would like to have their wards at home during the election period.

“This is a good move from NECO; the extension of registration will enable candidates who had not registered to do so before the new date,’’ Emoha said.

Another parent, Mr Benjamin Ikpegbu, said the candidates for common entrance were still very young children who should not write examination in a tensed atmosphere.

According to him, the general situation of things in the country will be calmer and more conducive for examinations after the elections. (NAN)

Politics / Buhari Advertorial: Fayose Has The Right To Express Himself - Fani Kayode by solaugo(m): 9:32pm On Jan 20, 2015

PDP presidential campaign organization spokesperson, Femi Fani Kayode says the sensational advertorial by Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose on APC's presidential candidate, Buhari yesterday January 19th was solely his opinion and not a representation of the PDP or President Jonathan.

Fani Kayode stated this while speaking to newsmen in Abuja today January 20th...

"Governor Ayo Fayose is a distinguished leader of our party. A democratically-elected governor and someone we have immense respect and affection for, but he released this advert in his own name. That represents his own personal opinion, which he is entitled to. What I can tell you on our part, as the presidential campaign organisation, is that it does not represent the opinion of the campaign organisation or indeed that of the president.

It is his opinion, which he is entitled to, and he is somebody that we have immense respect for; he is a leading member of the party. I have spoken with him and we respect him, but for anybody to suggest that this is the position of the presidential campaign organisation or President Goodluck Jonathan, that will be most unfair.

Politics / Call Your Supporters To Order, Jonathan Tells Buhari by solaugo(m): 8:14pm On Jan 11, 2015
Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation has called on the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), to call his supporters to order and ensure a violence-free election.
Director of Media and Publicity of the Organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, made the call in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja against the backdrop of the violence, arson and destruction unleashed on President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign buses at Zololo Junction along Bauchi road in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State on Saturday.
Fani-Kayode warned Buhari and the APC not to prepare the ground for the re-enactment of the post-election violence of 2011.
According to him, “It is on record that General Buhari’s utterances since 2011 have fuelled violence especially the post-election violence in parts of the north which claimed the lives of many youth corps members who were deployed as ad-hoc staff members for that year’s election.
“It is sad that up till now General Buhari has refused to apologize to the Nigerian people for that barbaric and shameful incident or show any remorse for the actions of his supporters. He could not even bring himself to tender an apology to the families of those young corps members that were hacked to death and murdered in cold blood by his agents.
“As if that was not enough tragedy unleashed on the polity, General Buhari recently said that the ‘baboon and the dog would be soaked in blood if what happened in 2011 repeat itself in 2015.’
“The Jos attack on the campaign buses of President Goodluck Jonathan would appear to be a pointer to what the opposition APC presidential candidate is planning before and after the February 14 presidential election.
“We therefore call on well-meaning Nigerians and members of the international community to speak forcefully against this development, which threatens our elections and democracy and which falls way below the standard of best international practices,” Fani-Kayode added.

Politics / Dele Momodu Apologies To Buhari; Says "I Was Wrong In 2011" - See Tweet by solaugo(m): 6:55am On Jan 09, 2015

Read the 2011 article below:

As ex-coup plotter, Buhari not qualified to rule–Dele Momodu, NCP presidential candidate

Sunday, March 06, 2011

Dele Momodu

Those who underrate him, those who think he is just another political wannabe must have started asking themselves this crucial question: have we been fair to Dele Momodu?
The answer to that poser is as clear as daylight. But in a political climate that has been seriously polluted by desperadoes and dominated by people with obscene wealth, it is quite easy for some people not to want to reckon with him as a ‘serious’ contender in the race to the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.

That is why Momodu, a man of humble beginnings, who has been ruling his destiny through dint of hard work and unwavering commitment to his cause, has come out smoking, flaunting his capacity to project more receptive political personality than most of the ‘big men’ traversing the country’s chaotic space.
To convince doubting Thomases that he has what it takes to be president, come May 29, the Ovation publisher-turned-presidential candidate of the National Conscience Party (NCP), goes back in time, tracing his political trajectory to 1983, when he was appointed private secretary of the then Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Chief Akin Omoboriowo. He impresses with how he coursed through the riots that turned Ondo State to a huge hell on earth, as well as his involvement in virtually all the country’s major political developments since that date, the biggest being the June 12, 1993, watershed.

Momodu adds up all the highpoints of his impressive credentials and declares that he is more eminently qualified to rule Nigeria than General Muhammadu Buhari, incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan, and other ‘big men’ now strutting the land, angling for the soul of Nigeria.
Here are excerpts of the interview:

From the way you spoke just now, it appears you are not quite with your colleagues, journalists, on this race…
It’s not as if I’m not pleased with them, but some of my colleagues, journalists underrate me. But I’m not surprised. Right through when I was in school, I was always underrated by people who thought I was playful. And my secret was that you would never see me when I am working. You can only see me when I am playing.

Why was that so?
Because I am the type of person that always do things my way. So, it is very difficult for you to know precisely when I am busy. And then I have this demeanour of someone who is not serious because I can joke with anything. My life is easy-going. I don’t compete with everybody. I only compete with myself. I don’t hate anybody, but rather people hate me. That is just me. If I am hungry, you won’t know because I am big.

The only hunger you used to show when we were in Concord was the hunger for your Guilder.
(Laughs…) You still remember, my brother. I was one of the few people who could bring a bottle of beer into the newsroom. You know that we used to have a ‘bush canteen’ in Concord, and if you want to drink you have to go there. But I broke all the rules even when I was in African Concord. For instance, we had something like a tariff that guided travels. If you are a reporter, you cannot spend more than N30 a day. N30 was not a small amount of money then. If you are a staff writer, you cannot spend more than N45 a day. But in my own case, I will travel and bring a bill to Louis Obi (the Editor-in-Chief), and say that I spent N100. The man will flare up and say, ‘you are getting too expensive, Dele.’ And I would say ‘yes, my stories are getting expensive too. He would just say, ‘okay’ and he would sign the paper.

The only person I could not bully was Bayo Onanuga (Editor), who is an Ijebu man. Anytime I came, and Bayo was acting editor, I would hide my claim until Louis Obi would come back. Oh, we had fun. I could do all that because my stories were stories that editors loved to have; and because I was good in writing, in fact, Mike Awoyinfa wrote about that many times in his column that I was an editor’s delight, because when I write, it is final. There is nothing an editor needs to do again. In fact, Louis Obi gave me a theory that he prefers to hire a writer than a reporter. He said that a writer can report, but a reporter may not be able to write. He just goes there, gets the raw material and usually, if you are not able to write, you may not be able to present the report well. That was why he preferred good writers. That was why he had people like Ike Okonta and the rest of them. That was what happened. He made sure that the writer was king.
But some editors prefer the opposite. Some editors prefer reporters because they (editors) can rewrite the stories reporters who couldn’t write well bring in.

Oh yes. I used to re-write a lot. Even in the days of May Ellen Ezekiel (the late publisher of the defunct Weekend Classique), when she was writing a column for Weekend Concord, that was what brought me close to her. Then, there was a particular period when I was doing the SAP (Structural Adjustment Programme) riots in May 1989. We had just started Weekend Concord when the event occurred. She saw me writing a story, with one of my legs on the table, and as usual, my bottle of Guilder by my side. So, she said, ‘How can you be writing a story and you are drinking?’ And I said, ‘Well, whenever I have very tough situations like this, I like to have a pint of beer.’ And Concord was still like an Islamic Empire then, and people didn’t expect me to get away from things like that. But I think I got away with so many things because of my work. I was a workaholic then.

Meanwhile, in the first edition of the paper, the headline was Black Wednesday in Lagos. I was not in Lagos when the riot took place. I was not in Lagos when the first edition was produced. I came after they had produced the first edition. I told the editor, ‘this is nonsense’. I had a different perspective. And that was one thing that drew me close to Mr. Mike Awoyinfa. I could talk to my boss. I came in and I threw the paper on his table, and I said: ‘Editor, how can you produce this thing? You are saying Black Wednesday and the paper is coming out on Saturday? From Wednesday to Saturday, it would have turned white from black.’

Everybody there laughed. So, he said, ‘what are you suggesting?’
I said, nobody has had the courage to write about what led to the riots in the first place. Everybody just said there was a riot, but nobody wrote the nitty-gritty of the events. He said, ‘can you write it?’ And I said ‘I am ready’. You will not believe it, I produced what I believed was a masterpiece. It was one of my best stories ever in Concord. I started by saying, ‘A rumour developed wings in Benin City, and like a bush fire in harmattan, it took on a new dimension in Lagos.’ And I was painting very vivid imagination of what happened. Fortunately, Chief M.K.O. Abiola had just come back from a trip abroad and he brought us the latest Ebony. Those who were carrying the rumour said it was published in Ebony, in America, that Maryam Babangida owned one of the biggest boutiques in France, and that the then First Family stashed so much money somewhere.

We checked the magazine, page-to-page, there was nothing like that. So, in my story, I quoted what everybody was saying and I said we have a copy of Ebony with us. And number two, Ebony was not known for writing rumours, and we did a bromide so people could see. So, even if government wanted to get angry that we were repeating what people were saying, there was balance in the story. And that is what helped me in journalism, even till today. I always balance my story.

Then there was another great story you wrote on Mike Uyi…
Yeah, he was the president of the Student Union Government of the University of Ibadan. He was an occasional student, and he stayed so long on the campus, he would not graduate. People, at the time, actually believed that he was a government agent. At the end of the day, he himself bowed to my style of reporting. That was one thing about my stories, even if you didn’t like them, you could not fault the facts. They were clear.

Most people who watched you from afar would wonder what used to drive you. Whenever you go for story, you always got the story?
I came to Lagos out of joblessness. I was always mindful of my background. I was always mindful of the fact that I came from a very poor family. We didn’t have a single rich man from the first generation to the last generation in my family. So, I was desperate to break the jinx of poverty in the family. My mother was growing old and I had lost my father at the age of 13. And I knew my huge responsibility within my family. I knew that the only key that would unlock my future was hard work. That was what propelled me.

Politics / Channels TV Terminates Pastor Bakare’s Broadcast Over Alleged Critical Comment by solaugo(m): 10:22pm On Jan 04, 2015

Channels Television, a Lagos-based independent 24-hour news station, on Sunday suddenly terminated a broadcast by fiery pastor, Tunde Bakare, over claims the tone of the message was critical of the Nigerian government.

Moment of Truth, a one-hour recorded paid programme, through which Mr. Bakare broadcasts messages he preaches in his church, Latter Rain Assembly, runs every Sunday on the Lagos channel of the station, between 5p.m. and 6p.m.

But 45 minutes into the programme on Sunday, Channels terminated the programme just as Pastor Bakare was making comments considered critical of the Nigerian government.

“We had to hurriedly take the programme off air after he (Pastor Bakare) began spitting venom against the government and saying things we cannot defend,” an official of the station, who asked not to be named because he has no permission to speak on the matter, told PREMIUM TIMES.

The official did not say what those comments were, but he insisted they were serious enough that Channels could not afford to allow anyone to spread them through its station.

When contacted, the General Manager of the station, Kayode Akintemi, confirmed he received complaints over the pulling of Pastor Bakare’s broadcast.

He however said the station was looking into the matter.

Pastor Bakare told PREMIUM TIMES he and his church had not been given any expectation for terminating the programme.

“The broadcast is not free,” Mr. Bakare said. “ It is paid for and those in charge will write them tomorrow to demand explanations.”

The pastor insisted Channels had no justification for pulling his broadcast.

“There was nothing I said in that broadcast that is subversive other than warning the nation that the forthcoming election is laced with disaster and that if we must plunge into it, we should be ready for the consequences,” he said.

In the broadcast entitled, “The Gathering Storm And Avoidable Shipwreck – How to Avoid Catastrophic Euroclydon”, Pastor Bakare accused the government of plunging the country into political and economic disaster and warned of an impending storm.

He spoke of the “fundamental flaw in the polity” and the gathering of the cloud ahead of a major storm.

Accusing the government of ignoring warning signs and allowing criminality to thrive, Mr. Bakare argued that the Nigerian economy had now crashed because it could no longer sustain the massive corruption in the subsidy fraud.

The pastor, who declared his loyalty for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, later identified the danger signs facing the country and the steps he said are necessary to avert crisis before, during and after the forthcoming elections.

According to him, the signs include:

Poor level of election preparedness

Acts of lawlessness and partisanship of security agencies

Security risks across the country

Likely minority king-making

Looming constitutional and legal crisis

Impending post-election tension

Looming economic collapse

Potential religious confusion, betrayals and persecution

Politics / Pastor Tunde Bakare Address The Nation; Calls For An Interim National Government by solaugo(m): 4:46pm On Jan 04, 2015
BEING TEXT OF SPEECH BY PASTOR 'TUNDE BAKARE AT THE STATE OF THE NATION BROADCAST

ON SUNDAY THE 4TH OF JANUARY, 2015.

VENUE: THE LATTER RAIN ASSEMBLY, 4, AKILO ROAD, OFF OBA AKRAN AVENUE, OGBA, IKEJA, LAGOS.

THEME: THE GATHERING STORM & AVOIDABLE SHIPWRECK: HOW TO AVOID CATASTROPHIC EUROCLYDON

CENTRAL TEXT: ACTS 27:1-25 (NKJV)

ACTS 27:1-25 (NKJV):

INTRODUCTION

Fellow citizens of our country, gentlemen of the Press, ladies and gentlemen:

At this crucial juncture in the history of our nation, I bring to you a word in season which, in time to come, may turn out to have been a final warning regarding the imminent storms threatening to hit our nation. At the same time, this is a word of hope; the assurance that despite the looming chaos, Nigeria in the hands of God is going to be the biggest miracle of the century.

First, I must reiterate in unequivocal terms that my position in the unfolding political situation of our nation is that of a nation-builder and not a politician, and that my desire is to see a nation that works in my lifetime. On the 16th of November, 2014, as I stood on this platform to share with you “The Nigeria of My Dreams”, I laid it bare to all and sundry why I would rather incline my ears to the melodies within my reins as to the beat of a distant drum. Although the position I stand here today to declare may appear as controversial to many, I do not go about seeking controversies. It is the Lord who has a controversy with the nations, with the inhabitants of the land, and with His people, because their counsel is contrary to His, according to

Jeremiah 25:31 (NKJV):

'A noise will come to the ends of the earth - For the Lord has a controversy with the nations;

He will plead His case with all flesh.

He will give those who are wicked to the sword,' says the LORD.

Let me therefore declare upfront my desire for a successful transition exercise irrespective of political party interest. About this time five years ago in 2010, when the nation was engulfed in a constitutional crisis that bordered on the refusal to transmit power to the current president, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, and the hijack of presidential powers by a cabal following the incapacitation of President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, as I was inspired by God to take action, I gathered the heroes of democracy with the help of civil society organization leaders at The Sheraton Lagos Hotel, Ikeja, and the Save Nigeria Group (SNG) was born. We marched the streets of Abuja and Lagos until the Doctrine of Necessity paved the way for the restoration of constitutionality. After President Goodluck Jonathan was sworn in, we, at the Save Nigeria Group, had a series of meetings with him in the bid to chart a new course for our nation offering him what we termed “A Contract to Save and Transform Nigeria”, which we consider an irreducible minimum standard of governance below which the Nigerian people should not be subjected. We sought to lend capacity to a man in whom both God and the people had great expectations. We thought that, having come from a part of the country that had borne the brunt of our lopsided political structure, Mr. President would understand, like the Biblical Queen Esther, that “for such a time as this he was brought into the kingdom” to be the facilitator of geopolitical restructuring and national integration. However, when we could not find fruit of genuine commitment to these ideals at that time and when it appeared to us that the president had chosen a path that could lead to the antithesis of what we consider his unique role, we went across the nation talking to leading political contenders in search of the most suitable candidate to whom we could lend our support. On the 31st of July, 2010, we brought together those we called 'Arrow Heads' who could constitute a team of transformational leaders for our nation, including the likes of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, ex-governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, Nuhu Ribadu, Fola Adeola, Jimi Lawal, Hon. Wale Osun, Yinka Odumakin, amongst others. Meetings were held in my home where I made it clear that I would not be seeking political office so that people would not think I convened Save Nigeria Group for that purpose. It was thereafter some of us found General Buhari to be the most suitable of the leading presidential contenders. When, months later, he invited me to be his running mate on the platform of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), I flatly refused until after much persuasion and corroborating counsel. Details of what transpired in that period will be out in my book, Strategic Intervention in Governance: Volume I, which will be presented to the public on the 4th of February this year by God's grace. I say all of this to make it clear that I do what I do just because I desire a Nigeria that works, not because I seek any political office. However, it is my considered opinion that capable men and women who love God and love the people must offer themselves to serve when the opportunity arises, for, as Plato said, “the price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men”.

That is why I am so grateful to God and thankful to General Buhari for offering me the opportunity to break the jinx and forever eliminate from our consciousness the notion that no pastor should have anything to do with politics. The fact that another pastor who has never won an election is running mate to General Buhari in the 2015 elections is a testimony to that.

As we approach the general elections few weeks from today with President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) pitted against General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the second time around, there have been questions regarding my political leanings. It is clear except to the mischief makers where my loyalties lie but this broadcast is not about political endorsements; it is about alerting the nation of the storms ahead. If you must know, my political loyalty lies with General Buhari and I cannot claim not to know the issues surrounding the APC Primary and the processes that led to the selection of his current running mate. Nevertheless, this broadcast is about the counsel of the Most High who rules in the affairs of men and gives rulership to whoever He wills.

THE WINDS AND THE MAKING AND UNMAKING OF NATIONS

First, I would love to remind you that the Most High cannot be crowded out of history because history is His story. Kingdoms have emerged or disappeared, nations have risen or fallen, great leaders have mounted and exited the stage, but none of these have occurred without the direction or permission of God Almighty. Not only has He authored history, He has also ordered the times and seasons for the unveiling of the content of its pages, having predetermined the appointed time for each nation. As though opening the pages of a book with His hands to reveal its content, God orders and unveils the story of the nations with the stirring of the winds. In the Bible, we see the destiny of nations unfold in response to this stirring of the winds upon the earth and the sea. Whenever these winds blow, changes occur in the governance of nations, for good or for evil.

In the Book of Daniel we see the Four Winds of Heaven stirring up the Great Sea which represents the people, multitudes, nations and tongues

(Daniel 7:1-cool. In response to this stirring, four beasts came out of the Great Sea. These four beasts were four kings and their kingdoms known today as the Babylonian Kingdom, the Medo-Persian Kingdom, the Greek Empire, and the Roman Empire. The Four Winds of Heaven are the attributes of God: Mercy, Truth, Righteousness and Peace.

Psalm 85:10-13 (NKJV):

10 Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed.

11 Truth shall spring out of the earth, And righteousness shall look down from heaven.

12 Yes, the Lord will give what is good; And our land will yield its increase.

13 Righteousness will go before Him, And shall make His footsteps our pathway.

Ironically, when these forces impact upon the earth, they expose the beasts in the rulers of nations. These beastly rulers leave behind them a trail of devastation and dryness after which the Four Winds of the Heavens are again prophetically stirred to expel these beastly forces and bring restoration to the Valley of Dry Bones and its content (Ezekiel 37: 1-14).

In the parallel Book of Revelations, the Four Winds of the Earth are revealed as forces affecting the nations. These forces result in the troubling or change of governmental orders. The Four Winds of the Earth are politics, economy, military and religion. These forces could be channeled to either the making or ruining of nations depending on the dispositions of the leaders and the people. For instance, national ruin was the result in many African states with the emergence of tyrants after independence - the likes of Idi Amin Dada of Uganda, Mobutu Sese Seko of Democratic Republic of Congo, Jean Bédel Bokassa of Central African Republic, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea, General Sani Abacha of Nigeria, and many other ambitious men whose dreams, drives and delusions unleashed a devastating storm into the political space of their respective nations. This political storm resulted, or has resulted, as the case may be, in economic ruin as these men enriched themselves at the expense of their respective nations. At some point in Uganda, for instance, currency was printed just to satisfy the whims and caprices of Idi Amin without recourse to any principle of monetary policy management. Mobutu, on his part, amassed so much wealth through corruption that he was reportedly richer than his country and appropriated many of his country’s assets as it plunged into infrastructural collapse. Bokassa, intolerant of opposition politicians whom he allegedly killed and ate or fed to crocodiles, diverted and squandered the little wealth his country had. General Sani Abacha became the most brutal dictator in the history of Nigeria, eliminating perceived opponents by means of a deadly killer squad and stashing away over $3 billion of public monies in foreign accounts. Obiang, who is still the president of Equatorial Guinea, is reportedly worth $600 million. He is said to have taken full control of his country's national treasury and deposited more than half a billion dollars into accounts controlled by himself and his family claiming that he did this to prevent civil servants from being tempted to engage in corrupt practices. It will be observed that the emergence of these African dictators was as a result of the invasion of the military wind manifesting through coup d’états or civil wars which, in some cases, resulted in counter-coups or extended civil wars. In more recent times, especially since the turn of the century, the wind of religion and the wind of the military have been unleashed upon the continent and upon the nations of the earth like a genie in a bottle, manifesting in the form of terrorist organizations from Boko Haram in Nigeria to Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) and Al-Shabab in the Horn of Africa; from Osama bin Laden’s Al-Qaeda to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS); and from Hezbollah in Lebanon to Hamas in Palestine.

Celebrities / Dr. Myles Munroe, Wife, Daughter Died In Bahama Plane Crash by solaugo(m): 7:37am On Nov 10, 2014

Prolific best selling author and internationally renowned preacher and business coach, Dr. Myles Munroe of Bahamas Faith Ministries International and his wife Mrs. Ruth Ann Munroe, died in a plane crash earlier today in the Bahamas. According to The Associated Press, the plane, a Lear LEA -1.05% 36 executive jet, reportedly struck a crane at the Grand Bahama Ship Yard, exploding on impact and crashing into the ground near a junkyard area.

The Bahamas Ministry of Transport and Aviation reported that the Lear 36 executive jet departed the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) in Nassau, Bahamas at 4:07PM for the Grand Bahama International Airport, a privately owned international airport in Freeport, Bahamas with nine people on board.

The plane crashed while making an approach for landing at Grand Bahama International Airport at 5.10pm, the Ministry of Transport and Aviation said. The crash killed all nine people on board the private jet. The identities of the other people on board have not yet been confirmed. The cause of the crash was not immediately determined, though there had been heavy rain across the region. A full investigation is expected to begin on Monday.

The crash occurred as people were gathering in Grand Bahama for Dr. Munroe’s 2014 Global Leadership Forum which starts tomorrow, (today) November, 10. Former mayor of Atlanta and former U.S Ambassador to the United Nations, Andrew Young scheduled to speak at the popular leadership forum, released the following statement through his foundation: “Ambassador Young expresses his deep sadness over the tragic death of his friends Dr. Myles and Mrs. Ruth Munroe. He offers condolences to the Munroe family and the families of the other souls who lost their lives as a result of this shocking plane crash.”
