Politics / Re: A Troubling Trend: Nigeria's FDI Inflow Decline Since 2015 by SULBELL(m): 2:09pm On Aug 13
NeckingNgulping:

It's apparent that, by the way things are going, FDI will further go down by the end of the year.

Can't you see how it's been going down the drain since 2015 when Tinubu's backed up federal government led by Buhari took over?

Don't forget he said "he will continue from where Buhari stopped."

Under your lord and saviour Tinubu, companies are folding, foreign investment is declining. Infact, every industry is in sorry state.

Are you not reading the news? Or you allow the 30k stipend to take away your common sense.

Why did total energy choose to invest 6b dollar in Angola over Nigeria?

You need to wake up and get your brain checked.

It was actually since 2012, and the trend continues.
This is statistics, let's leave sentiment out.

I must say it has not been any better since the APC took power but the decline actually started since the time of GEJ,.

Looking at the Chart, PDP actually ensure the FDI grow (except for the later years of GEJ) but APC have not taken it to anywhere close to where they meet it.

And rather than place the image of the NPF Akwa Ibom on the packs, he placed his own name and image. It cannot be said to come from the Police rather the personal effort of the CP himself.

From his little salary, he made an effort. If others add to it, hunger would be gradually decimated.

Thank you CP.

Exactly.
The sticker even reads Student which means its targeted at students.
If he chooses not to do it, no one can hold him for that. And for those asking if its policing yes, it is.
It is a laudable effort from the CP, if only others can emulate.

He's correct. You are the one with an ugly racist mentality. When you are seeking work, you send your CV to the best multinationals in the land...and you are here talking rubbish

Thanks for the insult, bro, but i believe we can still make comment and be civil at the same time.

Pls what is racist about my opinion charting your own course and doing something unique from others?
You do not compare business with football, in business, you fight for market share, but football is a sport that you either win or lose.
with your analogy, all the teams that went to Euros just recently are all supposed to be tournament champions because all of them are trained by Europeans. Or which of them is not playing the modern football he suggested?
We were coached by a European in the last Afcon but was only second best to a quick fix African coach in the final.

My point is it will take a long time before you can beat me at what I teach you, but with determination and commitment you can easily beat me with your own tactics.

CSTRR:
We can play like Spain or Germany or France.

But first we need to go back to the grassroots.

Forget about these current generations of players- they are lost.

Focus on the U-15.

Get all the clubs in the NFL and NPWL to have functioning academies if they don't.

Get proper coaches that will drill these U-15 on the fundamentals.
Pay Europeans if you have to, while you train your own coaches for the long run.

Get them to learn th fundamentals of football.

Passing, passing, passing, movement, don't be in a hurry, no unnecessary long balls, pass , pass and more passes, look for the nearest man and pass.
Pass and move, keep passing.

Let it become a culture at the academies which can then graduate into the main teams of the NFL and NWFL.

That's how to change a football culture.

Bros why are you always laying emphasis on hiring european, what happened to charting our own course uniqely.

If we hire them and we play based on their teachings how then do you think we can beat them?

Remember England, Belgium, Netherlands are all europeans you are advising we go after, they all have there golden generations but have not won any major tournament in recent history.

I am not disputing the fact that our football need a complete overhaul, my point is we don't neet any european to chart that course for us. What we need are young hungry players who will compete for shirt with all these celebrity europe based players we have around.

If na to talk about no stable electricity in the country you go talk am. Now wey dem say bring money for the few hours wey una use you say universities go collapse. Make E collapse if E want collapse cos of ordinary electricity bill.

Tell them to use the budget for running those big generators in the various universities to pay their electricity bills. How difficult is that?

It's like you get the root cause of the lamentation.
If you hear how much they budget for running generators you will marvel and ask how practical. And it's not that the generators run 24/7.
It will surprise you to know that one of the Uni the FG install high capacity solar power could not maintain it for two years to the extend they have to buidget for diesel to charge the solar batteries.

One will ask what is the work of thos electrical engineer professors that we have in our universities.

In Nigeria we have talented and innovative people...if this fura da nono milk..this fura da nono milk can be set up as a company by an entrepreneur, a bussiness man or investor..where it can be well produced and refined and well packaged in a plastic bottle or in a container well designed with label ..sold locally in Nigeria and also exported to other countries...this will create jobs for the youths and nigerians and boost the economy and also generate foreign currency to the country when also exported ..if it was all this foreign countries abroad this fura da nono would had gone to the level of being produced by an entrepreneur in a company and produced, refined and well packaged in a bottle, plastic bottle, a container, tin well designed and labelled for local sales and consumption and exported to other countries for sale

Well, you have a good point, though we have some entrepreneurs up north who already key into that, (like Rufaida yougout). They have a eatery (KFC standard) where customer can walk in to buy and consume it there or take away.
The other part you mention may not be possible as it dairy and perishable, it need to be refridgirated and can not be stored for a long time. Moreover, there is nothing that beats consuming in its natural source.

Did you live with them to confirm she has never physically assaulted Jarus? By the way, you think emotionally abuse is not a big thing? Maybe until you see a man commit suicide over emotional abuse by his wife, you'll change tone.

At bolded, are we talking of real men? I guess not.
Married men face series of challenge at home how they handle the situation is what makes a real man.
Nagging and emotional blackmail has always been women weapon from time immemorial.
If a man feels threatened by that, he can also report that rather than going physical on the woman.
Family / Re: Suraj "Jarus" Oyewole Has Been Charged To Court For Assault by SULBELL(m): 5:26pm On Jul 04

When it comes to her son now, you'll see her singing a different song. Domestic violence is evil but when the victim continues to stay and not move out, he or she is somehow an accomplice. You can not tell me that an innocent wife will constantly be abused and still remain in the marriage. She must somehow be an aggressor. The husband might have been enduring only that in today's story, he is the aggressor. He might have been the victim if yesterday's story was told. This is a fact people who rush to judge domestic violence don't put into consideration.

Yes the woman could have been the aggressor all along but it is certain she did not go about asulting her husband physically. Women are naturally talkative and they can abuse and tell you your life history when in angry mode. However that does not give any man the right to go physical on a woman. Real men will always resist the urge to lay a hand on a woman nomarter how provocative she is.

But this is similar to what forex traders do, will you call them speculators too?

Absolutely sir, Forex traders are speculators its as simple as that.
Business / Re: What Made The Dollar Fall Over Night? by SULBELL(m): 9:41am On Apr 22
Qwertyuiop1:
Please consider this a layman's question.
Last night before I went to bed, at about 11PM I checked dollar to naira rate and it was #1,151/$. Waking up this morning (in less than 7 hours) I checked again and it has plummeted to #1,075/$.

What exactly happened over the night while I was sleeping? I've got like $5K cash and it's reason I've been monitoring the rate even tho I'm absolutely a layman who has no idea what's happening. I only had the money last year and a colleague advised me to convert to dollar and keep which she claimed to be the safest way to retain my money's worth but as it stands, I'm at loss already. What happened please? Or is google not reliable?

It very simple sir. Let me explain as a lay man too.
What you did at bolded is called speculations which many other Nigerian are doing
For example assuming you bought $1 @N1600 then, you will be eager to sell it when you see someone who is willing to buy from you @ N1650, thereby you made an abritage gain of N50 on the volume of $ you bought. This looks very easy right, its like free money, and you don not even have to lift a finger, you just need to punch some keys on your phone grin
Just as you are involve are thousand others too involved, thus the value of the Naira depreciates further. Note that this is profitable for you speculating with the Naira, but it is hurting the nation and millions of Nigerians, A clear example is the skyroketting cost of foodstuffs and electronics, which naturally could have only been marginally affected by the removal of subsidy.

On the flip side, the CBN has cracked down on aiders of such speculations, now there is a bit of sanity, and the Naira is gradually and consistently fighting back, Here what happens is they make the black market rate cheaper so those who hoard $ now will have no choice than to dispose it at a loss. Because I can not see aboki who is ready to sell $ for me @ 1,075, and you expect me to come to you and buy for N1650 because you bought yours for N1600 and we are friends shocked

In simple englis, its the survival of the fittest, while speculators are fighting to make gains from the Naira, the regulators too are fighting to strengteen it, so brother, the fear of uncertainty will make many dispose off the $ they keep, this will further bring down the value against the Naira, thus the reason why the Naira is appretiating.

The decision is yours bro, you can sell it off now and count your loss cool
or with for a miracle that it will somehow magically go toward the 2k mark before ending of May as many have speculated grin

The Naira is steadily gaining momentum, many was doubtful and believed it was a hoax initially, well they can't be faulted given the precedent of our leaders.
However, with this continuous gains which has been sustained for over 6weeks, the CBN handlers need recommendation. One will now wonder why and how do we got into that deplorable state where the Naira was on a free fall in the first place.

I don't mind if it is Windows 7,8 or 10.

I am currently using Zorin OS on the PC.
It has its own disadvantage such as lack of audio except you connect with HDMI port.

Some months back, I installed Windows 10 education enterprise Os but it was a trial version and it expired.
Could not get the product key so I ported to Zorin 16.3 OS.
.

Well I saw this late, not sure if you already resolve the issue.

My question is was the sound working when you initially install the win10?

Why I asked is some ChromeOS especially Acer have sound driver issue when cracked, so don't let anyone deceive you of a quick fix because normal windows drivers dont work with it.
