Politics / Re: President Bola Tinubu Has Achieved A Lot For Nigeria by surgical: 6:43am
onuman:
While Nigerians are busy complaining, let me highlight some important achievements of the Tinubu administration in less than 16 months.
1. No more traffic jams on our roads. Most private cars are now resting in peace.
2. No more generator noise pollution in our neighbourhood. We now enjoy silent nights.
3. Less Nigerians now suffer health issues related to obesity and lack of exercise. You don't need a doctor to tell you that it is healthy to walk.
4. Our hospitals are no longer overcrowded. The hospital bills and the cost of medicines are enough to make people stay in their home and die peacefully.
5. No more overcrowded markets and shopping malls. The prices of essential commodities have made them less essential.
6. Even the japa syndrome has reduced to the barest minimum. The exchange rate has rnsured that cost of visa and airfare are out of reach to most Nigerians.
7. And many more...you can add your own. Tinubu's is an uncommon government.
Funny but absolutely true

APC candidate has this already in his bag.
The only battle ground is Edo south, but for Edo central, PDP nor LP can beat the current senator which happens to be the APC candidate.
Edo north the Oshiomole factor will heavily favour APC through and through.

If feelers are anything to go by, APC has this locked down!
How will edo people open their eyes and vote apc ,no be juju be that
Well it's a wishful thinking of an apc supporter ,the people are wiser than that
Your are mentioning big man, na oshiomole they feed them, so because he is from their, because he is a big man the people will now follow him blindly into the ditch

Just Wow!!!

As for this one, He just wanna dey do like low-budget Fela(pun intended)...If we are being honest with ourselves, as at that May2029 that PBAT was sworn in, there was no way he wasnt gonna remove the subsidy that Buhari's budget never covered post June 2023. Na just rant be this one

He can do supplementary budget, which he actually did ,he was not just interested in the people except him self plus he wanted to show jagaban but unfortunately he is in the mud now

Politics / Re: It’s Getting Out Of Control – Abdulsalami Abubakar Worries Over Hardship by surgical: 5:31am On Sep 18
DeLaRue:

By 'everything', I assume you mean fuel subsidy in particular.

Well, it can be done, but there will be severe economic consequences.

If the president announces that he is restoring full subsidy, the international institutions lending Nigeria money will stop doing so. Naira will immediately fall to around N2,000, and slowly
move towards N2500 and beyond.

Any benefit people gain from the reintroduction of full subsidy will be lost as prices of everything imported will shoot up to unprecedented levels. Prices of locally produced goods will follow.

So, as you can see, reversing subsidy removal can be done. Nobody will stop Nigeria from doing it. But the pain thereafter will be worse than before. We should be prepared to buy a loaf of bread for N3000 or N4000. May be N5000 or N6,000. Not possible? Ask the people of Lebanon.

See Venezuela, Iran etc for developing countries that don't generate enough revenue but still refused to remove subsidy.

you are a member of Tinubu economic team una too dull

It is unfortunate they got themselves into that situation.

Hope they get the assistance they need.

Simple and straight.

You explained it far better than the so called 'expert' that couldn't explain himself in simple, straightforward English.

I had a headache trying to make sense of what the 'expert' was saying.
He didn't explain anything, he is not seized of the fact
There is what is called comparative advantage, Nigeria should not be paying the same price like countries who do not have fuel
Besides nnpc is supplying from 450k barrels meant for internal consumption
Is cost of cost of production , has no addition of shipping, insurance, demurrage, customs tax that nnpc importation will carry so his fuel should never be equal to imported ones
But from his cement experience dangote can never ever give Nigerians respite,it's not in his character
If anybody comes and wants to do better ,he fights him

I remember when we were explicitly saying that prior to Dangote petrol hitting the market, the price will rise exorbitantly, his product will come and slash maybe 100 naira or so off the price and we'll end up buying it higher than normal, and they said we were crazy and conspiracy theorists.

APC goons will all die agonizing deaths for deliberate ignorance.

#MyOpinion
my brother of truth Nigeria can never be better or offer Nigerians anything of value like you have abroad except we remove this cancer call apc ,anywhere you find them either at the state or local level, in apc you will find the worst of Nigerians
Nigerians should just leave sentiments and look for fresh breath of life, by getting anything apc out of their lives
