Substitutions and waivers of such experience, to a maximum of 3 years, may be obtained as follows:

A maximum of 1 year of information systems experience OR 1 year of non-IS auditing experience can be substituted for 1 year of experience.
60 to 120 completed university semester credit hours (the equivalent of an 2-year or 4-year degree) not limited by the 10-year preceding restriction, can be substituted for 1 or 2 years, respectively, of experience.
A bachelor's or master's degree from a university that enforces the ISACA-sponsored Model Curricula can be substituted for 1 year of experience. To view a list of these schools, please visit www.isaca.org/modeluniversities. This option cannot be used if 3 years of experience substitution and educational waiver have already been claimed.
A master's degree in information security or information technology from an accredited university can be substituted for 1 year of experience.
Exception: 2 years as a full-time university instructor in a related field (e.g., computer science, accounting, information systems auditing) can be substituted for 1 year of experience.

As an example, at a minimum (assuming a 2-year waiver of experience by substituting 120 university credits), an applicant must have 3 years of actual work experience. This experience can be completed by:

3 years of IS audit, control, assurance or security experience
OR

2 years of IS audit, control assurance or security experience and 1 full year non-IS audit or IS experience or 2 years as a full-time university instructor.

Does audit experience qualify one to use the certification? Or it's applications for job seeking is for individuals with IT control job experience?

People, the following attached is why it's important to always follow instructions.

When I posted the link initially, I bolded the fact that 1 year cognate experience was needed for Advisory.

PwC Nigeria Graduate Recruitment 2019 - Advisory Services

Requirements
******************* One year post NYSC cognate experience ******************************

I guess some people might have filled on the form that they have this experience but could not show it during the verification.

The verification test wasn't just an exam.

The figure astounds me, no be lie.
I KNOW my information is more authentic but I don't think I'd be putting that out here.

If you're joining PwC, you're getting way more than a monthly remuneration.
Trust me, you don't want to keep dwelling on that.

Follow the process and you shouldn't be disappointed at the end.

Goodluck.

souljar:

Please help us out if you believe your information is more authentic.

BamBella:

Lol, why the wow?? Did the figure astound You? grin

That was what my friend said though, could be he lied about it.

Do you have any idea what it is?

Put in your relevant work experience even if it is teaching Yoruba Language in a primary school grin. If you have no experience, put your NYSC experience. You do not need to have tax, assurance or finance experience. PwC wants only your good brain and self! You will learn everything you need to know on the job.

I will like to share my job search experience, perhaps someone could learn from it in the future.
My journey on job search taught me a lot of things about life. I started my job search around June 2016 and since then I have been getting rejections upon rejections. The funny thing is that I get to interview stages and most times the final stage.
Aptitude tests was not the problem, I scaled through all the aptitude tests, excluding the pwc online test last year, so what's the problem? I got a very serious blow from a firm I treasured soo much precisely August 31st 2017,at that point I told myself that I won't give up. i started thinking seriously and I realized my problem, it was the interviews and I decided to work on myself. That was when I came across jarus hub materials. I sincerely wanted to attend the mock interview but I couldn't afford it. And then a friend gave me one of jarushub book titled ROAD TO VICTORIA ISLAND, which I used for my interview and it worked.
Firstly I acknowledge my heavenly father for his love, my parent and siblings for their words of encouragement .
Thanks to my friends, especially friends I met on naira Land who were willing to help me not minding who I am. Therealadonye, samkeniyy, gnen, larochelle, revson, trvc, ascapella, Vivian Ike, datjobhunter, your assistance will never be forgotten by me.
Finallllllllllllly my job search has come to an end!!!.
After two attempts in pwc. cry

To those who couldn't make it, I perfectly understands how you feel right now, but please don't give up. There is a reason for everything.

Anyone can write the exam and pass but to actually use the certification you must show that you have 5 years of IT Controls experience.

chukzyfcbb:
I have always had this question to ask regarding this certification.

is cisa peculiar to just IT guys alone (security), because I know auditors who also take CISA exams.

Does the certification include both Financial Auditors and IT security pros?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Pwc Nigeria Graduate Recruitment 2018 by TheRealAdonye(m): 5:41pm On Jun 10, 2018
Graduate trainees would start as Associate 1 and can be either in Advisory or Audit/ Tax depending on what you applied for and you should be moved to the next level after a period.
The Apprenticeship program would also enable you be moved to Associate 2 but I believe unlike the Graduate trainees, it is not assured. It depends greatly on performance.

This doesn't mean that the trainees don't have to perform but to be retained, the apprentices need to be on top of their game.

Also, the apprenticeship program is only for TAX.

goodguy4sure:
Pls for sake of clarity, Can someone explain to me the different between PWC Graduate trainee and apprenticeship?..

Thanks In Anticipation.

With your "prestigious federal government owned degree", you still have issues with your grammar like -
Why won't she graduated from a private university.

I went to a private university and I can bet that your JAMB score wasn't up to mine. The sooner you realise that intelligent people can decide to go to Private schools and not Public schools, the better your life would be.

nick50:
Why won't she graduated from a private university after all money no be problem besides children of the rich ain't always brilliant so I guess she couldn't secure admission on our prestigious federal government owned universitiesso she settled for a private uni where all u need to get admitted is just few credit passes in ur o level results

AUN uses a 4 point system and not 5.
iambabaG:

On the contrary.. it shows the child is low grade minded. If the school she could get admitted into had the best graduating student finishing with a CGPA of less that 4; a weak Second Class Upper.. need i say more?
