Politics / Re: Nigerians Call For Arrest Of Amosun Over 1,000 AK47, 4 Million Bullets Stockpile by tunjibadosnen: 6:29pm On Jun 25, 2019
No wonder he was speaking with confidence before the election that he will only hand over to Akinlade-Provost of the APM, honestly without any prejudice he should be arrested ASAP!

imagine! Dasuki is still in illegal detention under his friend (Buhari) for possession of illegal firearms o, not up to 1000 AK47 and 4000000 bullets

Ogun population 3.4million, Amosun's bullets 4million, ratio 1 to 1.1, if they shoot you once you no die you still get a ballance of .1
Politics / Re: Ibikunle Amosun Surrenders 1000 AK47 Rifles, 4000 Bullets by tunjibadosnen: 5:45am On Jun 25, 2019
No wonder, a recent pics of Buhari and DA had several captions, both were seeing seriously talking about something, it must be a surprise and concern issue for Buhari o.

If Buhari can be detaining former NSA Dasuki for illegal possession of firearms, despite many courts asking him to free Dasuki..., ehnn! let's watch and see how this movie goes

One thing is certain, Amosun must pay for what he did to TASCE staff, instead of paying their salaries he used the money to stock pile arms, to kill who?

Who will guide us into the governor's heart? - Adebola Talabi

I am a staff of Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu Ijebu. The institution have passed through hell on earth during the last regime. The two provosts that managed the school since its relocation to Omu have been callous. Governor Amosu develops tantrum at the mention of Tasce. He punished us with non payment of straight 15 months salary, and half salary for two and a half years. We endured, hoping that the regime will lapse.

We romance with the incumbent governor right from the period of his campaign and God crowned our efforts by giving him victory in the election. We told him all our problems and he promised he will put balm on our pains. We told him our demands and we thought he assimilated everything. Our expectations are that he will make a pronouncement on our school once inaugurated so that peace can reign in the school.
Students are out of campus because we are owed 54 months salary. Up till now April and May salary is still hanging. We demand for the removal of our provost who brought in battalions of soldiers to come and kill us for asking for salaries owed us. We complained about rampant death and ill health caused by poverty as a result of non payment of salaries. We complained that our provost holds on to our salaries already paid into school account. We complained that our provost is not qualified to head the school. We complained that our provost squandered our revenue. We complain...

In spite of all these, the new government does not see the situation as critical. Is it because there have not been fracas? Is it because we are not taken serious? Is it because the government do not feel our pains? Does the government think we are super humans for enduring those hardships and should continue to do so?

We are human being like all others. We have blood flowing through our veins. We have responsibilities to fulfill. Pls, empathise with us. Have compassion. We are human beings like you.

I know the governor might be very busy now and our issue will be slated for later time, kept in view. But this is a matter of life and death. Prevent further death on that campus.
I plead with any member of the public that has the pin code to the governor's soft spot to please present our case in a way that he will see the urgency in resolving Tasce issue.
April and May salary yet to drop.

Very true.. OGB did nothing for the whole 8 years. Absolute nothing!

from your comment, it shows you know nothing about Ogun State, "OGB" instead of OGD
secondly, OGD employed and put food on the table of many people (myself and my wife are living witness), he employed over 20,000 unemployed into the main stream of Ogun state work force, human resources and welfare were part of his program, and many more
Irokunle as fondly called destroyed many lives, lack workers welfare, no employment, and upon all engaged in sentimental and partial development: resources meant for the three senatorial district that made up Ogun was used to develop Abeokuta,
Yes, increase in IGR, but how did that translate to people's welfare, workers are owed deductions, some did not receive salaries, pensions not paid.... then the multiplier effect on Ogun citizens is zero

many sin of Amosun shall soon be uncovered, watch out

grin In as much as I am not in support of stealing of public funds, I think the EFCC has no clear evidence to seize or claim the money.

As her lawyer rightly said no body has come forth to say she stole his money, not even the federal government. Of course, the government has not given her any fund for project and she put it in her private accounts.

As she said, the funds can be gifts. smiley from her well wishers. After all when family and friends gift one money during an event it usually come in big sum. Or church offering.

I am not a lawyer o but just reasoning. EFCC should just better come up with a right claim or release her funds to her.

s'oro nu! for someone to have parted with gifts running into billions of naira do you know what the person would have carted away from the country...? sorry, no free lunch anywhere, nothing goes for nothing they say in my local parlance...

Nairaland / General / Parents Withdrawing Children From TASCE For Fear Of Being Hit By Stray Bullets by tunjibadosnen: 2:01pm On Apr 29, 2019
Parents of students of Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu Ijebu are right now withdrawing their children/wards following an early morning invasion of the college by some soldiers believed to have been hired by the Provost of the College to force himself into the college after being sent out to enable him meet and collect the 30 months salaries owed the workers of the college by the government.
After several months of agitation by the staff, the Provost, who could not neither meet the governor nor collect the said money, resolved to hiring cult members and soldiers to unleash terror on the peaceful protesting worker.
It was earlier reported that the soldiers shot sporadically into the air so as to disperse the workers at the College entrance but met stiff resistance from the workers. The aftermath of this shooting made some parents to withdraw their children/wards from the college.
Education / Soldiers Beat TASCE Staff Over Protest Of Non Payment Of 30 Months Salaries by tunjibadosnen: 11:06am On Apr 29, 2019
Information from the Staff of Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE) Omu Ijebu has it that some unknown soldiers from Ilese barrack invaded the institution, mercilessly beating some of the staff of the college who have been on peaceful protest over non payment of their salaries.
The staff union body COTAS led by their Chairman Comrade Aborisade alledged the Provost of the College, Dr Lukman Adeola Kiadese of mismanaging the institution's internally generated revenue. He (the Provost) has since been locked out of the institution asking him to meet with the Governor of the State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun to at least collect about 15 months for the staff before handing over to the new government.
Things took different dimension this morning when the soldiers from Ilese barrack bumped into the staff who were at the college gate entrance started to beat some of the staff and shot into the air trying to force themselves into the college so as to pave way for the Provost to come in.
This act was resisted by the female staff who pulled off their clothes and were unclad. This and many more protest by the staff eventually forced the soldiers to withdraw from the college.

Dapo Abiodun Promises To Solve TASCE Crisis After May 29

ABEOKUTA - The Ogun State Governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun has assured the management, staff and students of Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE), Omu-Ijebu, of immediate attention once his government is inaugurated on May 29, 2019.

Abiodun gave this assurance on Friday, when he granted audience at his Iperu Remo residence to the Coalition of Tai Solarin College Of Education Staff (COTAS), led by their Chairman, Comrade Daniel Aborisade.

The visit was to felicitate with the Governor-elect on the recent victory recorded at the poll, and more importantly, to air their views on some critical issues affecting the staff students, and the overall survival of Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE), an institution named after a foremost Nigerian educator and author, Augustus Taiwo "Tai" Solarin.

Issues raised during the interaction, ranged from non-payment of salaries and arrears, non-payment of pension, non-remittance of cooperative deduction, absence of governing council, among others.

The delegation further requested that a visitation panel should be constituted to look into the affairs of the institution.

Abiodun assured them that all the challenges currently facing TASCE will be given immediate and proper attention by the incoming administration, with a promise to personally visit the institution upon his assumption of office.

Nairaland / General / TASCE Workers Protest Over Non Payment Of 30 Months Salaries By Amosun by tunjibadosnen: 11:57pm On Apr 27, 2019
Our pain unbearable, we’ve lost 49 staff to non payment of 30 months salaries by Amosun – TASCE workers

By

Bankole Taiwo, Abeokuta

The workforce of Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu Ijebu, said their pain had been unbearable while 49 staff of the institution had died due to lack of money to take care of themselves following the refusal of the state governor, Sen Ibikunle Amosun to pay them backlog of 30 months salaries.

The workers under the umbrella of Coalition of TASCE staff during their protest at the state capital, Abeokuta on Tuesday said the government also owed them 48 months salary arrears, while their cooperative, pension and housing deductions were also not remitted since 2011. The workers said the government is owing them 4.7bn

Speaking at a press briefing held at Ogun NUJ secretariat, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta, Mr Daniel Aborishade, Chairman, Coalition of TASCE Staff said despite series of promise by the governor to use Paris Club refund to offset the backlog of salaries, the governor has collected five tranches of the refund yet he  has failed to honour his promise.

Mr Aborishade said “the situati£on is really horrible, many men among us have turned to be wives while our wives are now the husbands because we don’t have the wherewithal to maintain our family. We have lost 49 staff because they can’t afford to look after their health due to lack of money. It is really pathetic and very sad”.

The workers has equally called for the removal of the Provost of the school, Dr Adeola Kiladese for using soldiers and policemen to harass workers of the school because they were agitating for the payment of backlog of salaries and other emoluments.

The Provost of the school was also recommended for probe for mismanaging over N400M Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) which ought to have been used to pay part of the money owed them.

Mr Daniel Aborishade said the workers were heartbroken and very sad when they saw the advertorial the government placed in newspapers recently denying that it never owed the workers a penny.

The workers pleaded with the outgoing governor to as a matter of urgency help to pay all 30 months outstanding salaries and other emoluments duly accrued to the workers of the state owned institution as many of them had since been finding it too difficult to feed themselves and their families.
