My portal was updated last week .
I had to update the IRCC about my Deferral .
I ought to have resumed school since 5th September but because of the delay in study permit approval I had to defer.
So I did update the portal last week Monday .

I also deferred. School fees paid in full. I’ll just sit this one out till the end of the month before making a decision on my next move.

I've received my GCMS notes and see what is says. For context, I used both brother and Mom. My brother works in the US as a software engineer and my mom had 11M in her account. The total POF was more than I needed by at least 10k CAD.

So sorry brother, please I have a few questions:

1. Did you pay full tuition fee or just deposit?

2. When did you apply?

3. College (Diploma) or Uni (Masters)?

Guys, is it really compulsory one shows proof of funds of personal financial establishment, especially when one has already pointed out that they have a sponsor(s)?

Please can I renew my passport while it still have one year validity. I heard IRCC can not issue visa beyond the validity of your passport? Will it a problem since I used the old passport for application.

The bolded is correct. Renew ASAP.

Someone said that IRCC has exceeded the number of visa needed for the year by 25% hence the baseless refusals. I think he's right because some refusals here are baseless.

Honestly I’ve been suspecting the same thing. Some refusals are head scratchers. Doesn’t help that my school is based in Ontario. 2 year program.

The canada Visa Application centres in Abuja and Lagos will be closed until further notice.

Please any new about VFS.

I just confirmed this to be true. Let's wait and see, maybe they're waiting for the protest to blow over completely.

Just be calm. Mine took about a month before it was updated on my portal. I did biometrics 10th June, it was updated on 5th July so you just have to be patient.

I did my medicals two weeks before submitting my application. With all that I have seen here, you can do your medicals before or after submitting your application. Your result will be sent to IRCC.

If you submit your application before doing medicals, I think you will need to raise a web form and submit the document given to you by the medical centre.

Can I do my biometrics before submitting my application?
