ayusco: Funny stories u people are just posting. Anyways me thinks Newcastle and milwall(shittu matter) are playing with fire cos based on what I read in the FIFA articles both players if not released for the AFCON would be unavailable for the club during the period of the competition plus 5 days. Even more ominous for the clubs they could also forfeit results for matches played during that period.....the fiffa rule can only work against newcastle if the nigeria football associaton or the manager complains to fiffa that newcastle refuses to release Shola but in this case keshi nor the nfa will not complain to fiffa cos pounds has exchange hands |
Sports / Re: Shola Ameobi According To Newcastle Manager, will Not Honor The AFC Call Up by zalight(m): 12:34am On Dec 25, 2012 |
CFCfan: Why is Pardew keeping the reason(s) a secret?Exactly my thot bro, and the only thing i could cum up with is that he has fulfilled his part of the deal,he has paid money it is now left for keshi to give us the normal excuse and the reason he accepts it. normally under fiffa rules keshi has the right to summon shola to the camp even if he is injured.I can asure u that shola will play matches for newcastle during the afcn and Keshi will not complain nor sanction Shola cos he has recieved substantial pounds from newcastle. We should encourage Osaze to open up more ,there is more to the saga than meets the eyes |

Sports / Shola Ameobi According To Newcastle Manager, will Not Honor The AFC Call Up by zalight(m): 4:54pm On Dec 24, 2012 |
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20837882 Shola Ameobi 'not going' to Africa Cup of Nations Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi will not be going to the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria, according to his manager Alan Pardew. The former England under-21 international had been named by coach Stephen Keshi in his provisional squad. But Pardew has ruled out the 31-year-old's appearance at the tournament, which kicks off on 19 January. He said: "Shola won't be going. The national team manager knows the reasons, which I am keeping to myself." Ameobi was born in Zaria, northern Nigeria, before moving to England with his parents at the age of five. Under Fifa rules, players who have represented one country at junior level can play for another at senior level if they meet the qualifying criteria. Ameobi was first called-up by the Super Eagles 10 years ago but turned down the invitation on the grounds that his heart was set on playing for England. He was cleared by Fifa to play for the country of his birth last month together with Chelsea winger Victor Moses. He made his debut in a 3-1 friendly win over Venezuela last month, setting up the third goal in Miami, Florida. Nigeria will take on African champions Zambia, Ethiopia and Burkina Faso in Group C. |

Politics / Oba Of Benin Visits Oshiomhole by zalight(m): 8:19am On Nov 16, 2012 |
BENIN—IN a rare show of public appearance and support, the Benin monarch, Oba Erediauwa, yesterday, paid a visit to the governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, at Government House, Benin City. The Oba, who is rarely seen in public, arrived Government House in the company of some senior palace chiefs and Enogies and urged the governor to keep up with his good work. The royal father said: “I came to congratulate you on your swearing-in. I watched it on television and it was very impressive. You have done well. Keep the flag flying”. Aligning himself with prayers offered, His Royal Majesty noted: “My chief broke kola and said, may God continue to enrich the treasury with the wherewithal to do what you are doing. Please finish the projects. Thank you very much. “My brother traditional rulers are waiting for you to continue work in their domains.” The Oba praised the governor for speaking ex-tempore at his inauguration, saying, “you are a wonderful man.” Responding, Governor Oshiomhole expressed deep gratitude to the Oba for his support and prayers. He said: “I am deeply indebted to your Majesty. Your Majesty has been a father to me and to all of us in Edo State. “My own biological father would not have done better for me than what you have done.” Outlining his vision for the second term, the governor noted: “I am determined to do more than what I did in the first term. We have overcome our learning curve.” Oshiomhole listed the next phase of work to include aggressively reclaiming the moat and sustaining the work on the Benin Masterplan, adding that over the next two years, it would be completed. He explained: “Your Majesty, we would restore the beauty of this great city. This is the capital of this kingdom, this is the capital of Edo State. I am indebted to the Bini for accepting me as a son and a brother. By their votes they spoke very loud and clear”. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/11/oba-of-benin-pays-royal-visit-to-oshiomhole/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter 1 Like |

Sports / Re: Mikel Obi Deletes Twitter Account After Racial Abuse by zalight(m): 10:54am On Sep 21, 2012 |
Datweence: I think this brings the game as we Nigerians see it into perspective. Some weeks ago, we almost rolled out the drums because John Terry was exonerated of racial abuse when video evidence clearly suggested otherwise just because he plays for a club we support. We need to come to terms with the fact that Britain, just like its european counterparts, is struggling with the integration of people of other races into its society. Like it or not, no matter how good you are, you get the stick as long as you are a foreign import. If you don't believe, ask Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha. He was told to 'pack his tiger skins' and leave the club. Any form of discrimination, be it racism or tribalism, is a shame on our 'global village' and should not be condoned because of football affiliations. It was Anton Ferdinand & Evra yesterday, it's Mikel today, it may be you tomorrow. Let's come together to fight this societal disgrace. By the way, Mikel shouldn't have deleted his twitter account. He's been in the UK for quite some time & ought to be thick-skinned by now. He could rather put the account to good use in fighting his cause.EXactly my point...what goes around comes around, mikel and other chelsea players signed on the letter written by salomon kalou that was submited in court in full suport of John Terry, that letter was among the reason he was found not guilty by the court in his racism fued with Atton Ferdinald.Sorry Mikel,if John Terry is not a racist, the guy that insulted you on twitter is not a racist too.I hope u are enjoying the pains Ferdinald felt then |

Sports / Mikel Obi Racially Abused In Twitter After His Mistake Against Juve by zalight(m): 12:03am On Sep 21, 2012 |
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19670097 Chelsea's Nigeria midfielder John Obi Mikel was forced to close his Twitter account today after suffering a barrage of racist abuse prompted by his costly mistake against Juventus. Mikel removed his profile from the micro-blogging website less than 24 hours after his blunder contributed to Juventus's late equaliser as Chelsea were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw in the opening match of their Champions League defence at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. Chelsea originally insisted it was coincidental that Mikel had decided to delete the 'Mikel12Official' account he only set up earlier this year. But the European champions later admitted they had informed the police after being made aware of the unacceptable nature of the abuse Mikel had endured. "We've been made aware of racist tweets targeted at Mikel which are totally unacceptable, disgusting and abhorrent," a Chelsea statement read. "We've informed the police and support taking the strongest possible action." Mikel gave the ball away with a careless pass 10 minutes from the final whistle and Juventus took advantage as Claudio Marchisio played in Fabio Quagliarella for the equaliser. The 25-year-old apologised immediately afterwards, saying: "If I want to make up an excuse, I can. But, for me, I gave the ball away. I put my hands up, we move on. "I'm sorry about the mistake, but there are no excuses." Read more at: http://www.fijilive.com/sports/football/news/2012/09/21/29061.Fijilive Copyright 2012 © Fijilive.com |

when president Obama prostrated for the Saudi king and the Japanese leader many Americans including some from his own political party spoke against his action fiercely and his action stare up a big political row and debate and since then he has never bow down for anyone again. In my opinion the op was right to bring up this issue. There is nothing wrong in showing respect for your elders when you are representing yourself but Tinubu is not representing himself,he is the leader of a political party and the Yoruba's,therefore boot licking a political party leader he plans merging with is not only politically wrong but a slap in the face to his followers. quote author=bittyend]Obama and Saudi King Obama in Japan
|

If the saying ''we are what we eat'' is correct then it will not be wrong to say we are who we worship. This Indians worship everything infact there is a diety they worship that has multiple heads and they worship this shit with passion and commitment.I have been opportune to visit that incredible country before and this kind of children are not rare infact they are celebrated and the parents praised for re incanating thier god.in some rare occasions the kids are separated by medical operation but most times this kids are left in the temple to be worshiped. I sometimes get tired of responding to ppl who type without thinking. How is God responsible for this? Do you know what the woman ingested while she was pregnant? There are certain substances that cause genetic mutation of a foetus, so read up before you start venting your anger at God. MTCHEW
1 Like |
